"So if you could pick any setting waht would it have been?" Jimmy asks, curious
"Call me old fashioned but I would have taken a bed. Her room had one prominently placed in the middle of it." Gwenhwyfar replies.
"Well we could turn the table into a makeshift bed type display. A bunch of throw pillows, satin to drape over the table." Jimmy says thinking
"Sure. We can find most of that in the guest house. And I can paint what we want the picture to show. Only you need to lie or sit there comfortably. As this is going to take many hours." Gwenhwyfar explains.
" of throw pillows then." Jimmy says chuckling, "And what do you want me to wear for this?"
"Your original dress with all that jewellery." Gwenhwyfar replies blushing. "It has to be original for the documentation."
"Well then we need to head back to the guest house quickly."
"Would you do that? I'm going to set up the painting equipment." Gwenhwyfar suggests.
"I will be back in a moment my dear, my I use that bag of holding you found?" Jimmy asks
"Sure. It is empty at the moment." Gwenhwyfar replies and hands the bag to Jimmy.
She then starts to arrange the scaffold and the canvas.
Jimmy runs off to pack all the things he thinks might be needed. Fruit, pillows, the dress and jewelry, Sorshen's weapon
How long does it take Jimmy to fetch all of this. I thought he'd already be back. Gwenwhyfar thinks as Jimmy is still away fetching the stuff.
At that precise moment she hears the door open as Jimmy hurries inside again
"Just over here dear?" Jimmy asks stepping to the section of table closest to the canvas, he starts to unpack lots and lots of pillows, once those are done "There isn't a screen in here, where would you like me to change?"
"If it's ok with you, I'm just standing here at the side of the room and face the wall until you're done. But let me lock the door before that." Gwenhwyfar replies and moves to the door locking it. She then simply stays there holding the handle.
Jimmy takes that as his cue to change and does so as quickly as he can, he then turns and hold up the necklace, "Would you be so kind?"
Gwenhwyfar turns around and looks at Jimmy. Her eyes wide and her mouth standing open she looks at Jimmy. "If I missed something while looking at the door - this dress doesn't even attempt to hide it." she comments blushing.
Pulling herself together she approaches Jimmy and helps with the jewellery.
Going back behind the canvas she asks "What pose would you prefer?"
"Well you are doing the painting, so you tell me." Jimmy says turning red as he watches Gwen's eyes as they momentarily pass over his body.
Gwenhwyfar closes her eyes "Then simply lay yourself on top of the pillows and we'll see how to improve from there."
"Head to the left from my view please." she adds.
Jimmy climbs onto the table and lies on her side, head propped up on her arm, on the pillows as indicated, "How's this?"
Gwenhwyfar carefully opens her eyes "It looks kind of stiff with your legs just lying in parallel. And you need to decide how revealing you want that picture to be." she says pointing to the breasts that show clearly under the dress. "Maybe with some pillows or placing your arm..."
"How about this?" Jimmy says draping an arm over her chest and placing one knee in front of the other
"That's much better on the not too revealing part. But you look shy now. And passive. That's awful."
Gwenhwyfar tries to remember how all these statues were shown. But they didn't have transparent dresses. "How about you stand, half sitting on the table edge so I get you in profile. But your face turned to me. You lean back supporting yourself with your left arm. You pull up your left leg stroking your calf with your instep and grabbing your left breast with your right hand."
"That way it would be decent on the revealing part without getting virtuous."
"Sure thing." Jimmy says doing his best to follow the instructions
"Alright. I can work with that." Gwenhwyfar tell. She walks to the table and rearranges some of the pillows and the velvet blanket.
Returning to the canvas she starts with a sketch of the rough outline and then puts on paint to fill the background. After working the big areas and filling the outline with color she starts on adding details. The palette and brush in hand she almost looks like an artist.
Concentrated she works on the picture. Every now and then she throws in a "Don't move. you need to arch your back, don't hang there like a wet sack." or something similar.
After working for three hours she jokes "You look like the Runelord of Sloth now. Like you could really use a bed."
"I could really use being a man again, you look so amazing when you focus like this." Jimmy jokes back
"Remember that facial expression for later." Gwenhwyfar replies but blushes as her brain comes out of it's professional artist mode and she realizes that this 'lust' is directed at her.
Jimmy blushes in turn, seeing how Gwen reacts.
"You shouldn't blush, you just make it worse."
"Let's call it a day. I need to go to bed now." Gwenhwyfar explains. She unlocks the door."I'll wait for you outside." She slips through the door and closes it again.
Jimmy's face drops, thinking he upset her. He gets up, gets changed, leaving the dress and jewelry on the table.
Walking outside "Ready to go?"
Gwenhwyfar grabs his arm "Maybe already tomorrow we will be able to have your original body back. I'll have to hurry with the portrait." she smiles looking forward to it.
"So this will be the last night you'll have to sleep alone."
"That is as good as news can get my love." Jimmy says smiling, happy that he didn't sour her mood
Gwenhwyfar locks the door and together they walk to the guest house. "Good night." she tells Jimmy and blows him a kiss.
She disappears into Tauriell's room and puts herself to bed.
Jimmy ducks into his own room and heads to sleep himself
"I guess I go home then." Lini states as everyone is heading to their beds already. She tells everyone good night and leaves.
"Then I'm going to bed to." Abomentolor replies. "Are you coming too?" he asks Tauriell.
"No. I'm going to put all these coins in that corner over there and sleep on top of them." she answers with a malicious grin.
"Nah, I'm coming. But we should lock the door this time." she adds as she gets up locks the door and follows Abomentolor to bed.
Niamh wakes up with a big grin on her face. And graps her violin after she cleaned herself and her clothes and walks along the way to the meeting house to fetch the cherry pie and to learn new songs with the theme 'sea' and 'ships'. The halfling enters the house and walks to the library, takes out a chant book, chooses a song and starts to string together the tones.
Tauriell sits up in the bed. "Stupid bird. Why does it have to shout around at this time." She walks to the window and closes it hoping to muffle the sound.
"Are you going? It’s still a long time until daybreak. Don’t be afraid. That sound you heard was the nightingale"
"The lark sings in the morning, the nightingale sings at night. nightingale, not the lark. Every night the nightingale chirps on that pomegranate-tree. Believe me, my love, it was the nightingale."
"It was the lark, the bird that sings at dawn, not the nightingale, you idiot."
"You couldn't tell one bird from the other if they sat in front of you." Tauriell replies.
"What do I care about the bird? I thought you might be impressed by me knowing some lyric." Abomentolor defends himself.
"In the neighbouring room you might find some early bird bard you could impress with that. Not me." Tauriell gives back while she lies down on the bed again and pulls the blanket over herself.
"But I thought you were some kind of bard too?" Abomentolor inquires.
"Yes. But bards are about knowledge. Some bards sing and tell stories. Have you ever heard me singing or tell stories?" Tauriell asks a counter question. "And now shut up and sleep. Or leave the room."
As Gwenhwyfar wakes up to the sound of the lark she is startled. She slept in and is late for her prayer time. She quickly jumps out of bed and runs to Jimmys room knocking at the door.
"Quick, get up. The sun is almost rising." she runs outside to the usual tree and sits down where she can see the sunrise.
Destinée comes out from behind the tree and strokes along Gwenhwyfar purring "You are late." the cat tells and climbs on Gwenhwyfar's lap lying down.
"Yes, I am." Gwenhwyfar replies stroking the cat and enjoys the light and warmth of the sun on her face.
