Bruiser

"Hmph. Fine then. You shall give me directions to get to this fortress of yours. Do not worry, Do not worry, I swear on my sword I will not damage your Cart." She starts the car again. You're still holding the keys.

Servant: Ride Rank B.

Her eyes show her burning passion to drive. This. Car. And well, you are in the mountains, where even you can't resist going well over the posted speed limit. Maybe you could try to bargain with her?

Caster

As the four walk in, Caster vanishes, wishing to see them for himself before revealing his presence to them.

Amelia slowly descended the flight of stairs off the plane, with a black cat lazily trailing behind her. Upon her first step on Fuyuki City her long blue hair was blown by a large gust of wind, causing her gaze to fall upon the falling sun. Despite the sublime view, the young woman could not dismiss the uneasy feeling she had the moment she arrived to this city.

“Well... here we are. Where I can finally prove my merit. A new beginning right?”

The cat only scoffed at her words, “You keep telling yourself that honey,” Rajei jumped onto the nearby parked car before he continued, “Come now, your brothers already went ahead, pack your luggage and let’s go see your new sorry excuse for a room. Oh, sorry, I mean your new beginning.”

The young Martelli only sighed, unable to refute, and did as she was told.

Saber
Saber gives a quick nod and silently follows his master from the room.

On the way out the two are greeted by Rose, an Einzbern homunculus in a red maid's outfit who had been waiting for her master to finish her summoning.

Rose bows slightly and says, "Congratulations on your successful summoning Lady Idaliseviel."
as she notices the servant that has been summoned her eyes widen in brief surprise
"my lady is this the servant you have decided to summon?"

Archer
"All life must come to an end, yet at the same time all life is precious. I will seek to minimize the number of casualties in this war, however I will not hesitate to make necessary sacrifices. Incidentaly if you are talking about footholds I have already secured one of the town's five Lay lines."
(you know Fuyuki city should only have 4 lay lines which is the highest recorded in any city of this size)

Idaliseviel turns to where she heard the familiar woman's voice, her long silver hair trailed behind her as she turned to face Rose, one of her dearest maids.

"Thank you, Rose! I'm glad to see--" She paused for a moment, "Er, hear that you're here." She gave out a playful giggle before continuing, "Indeed he is! Saber, this is one of my dearests maids and friend, Rose! Treat her kindly as she has always treated me." Idaliseviel introduces the two as Saber continues to stand idly by her side, silent as always.

"He's not much of a talker but he's very kind! He'll guide me when my vision starts to waver, or whenever I need any sort of aid." She clarified, then turned her attention back towards her maid, "You haven't been waiting out here for very long, have you?" She wondered out loud, "I was going to show Saber around the mansion for a bit so he could get a better feeling of where he'll be staying, although I suppose my tour would be more affective if I could actually see where I'm going."

Idaliseviel shakes her head, "But there's no need to be concerned at all Saber! I've been here all my life, so I know this place just as well as I know the back of my hand." She nods her head, pleased with her response, "Anyhow, I'm sure my vision would start to return over time." She added on with another smile.

Even Matthew enjoyed it for a little bit. The ride, the speed, it was everything he enjoyed about the car. But everything must come to an end at some point.

"[SERVANT NAME], I know you're really enjoying yourself, but perhaps we should get back to our place? So we can start planning out our conquest of this war?" He asks. He figures it was her goal to dominate the enemies and claim the land, so perhaps this would get her to go to their place.

OOC: Five, actually.

"So skittish. Well, as soon as you feel like rejoining those of who are visible, I'll begin introductions. For now, it's time for the strategy meeting."

Turning his chair around and moving it to a table with another map of Fuyuki on it, Etrius beckons five more water chairs from the sides of the room for the Commanders. There is a blank space in the formation of chairs.

"It would seem that my Servant is biding his time before properly introducing himself to us, so we'll be proceeding without him for the time being.

The present line of deployment covers four layers. The first layer are my familiars, which are providing information control for this mission. As activities continue, we'll be deploying more conventional sensors to supplement them. Here is the present coverage."

Pressing several buttons beneath the table, it's nature is revealed as numerous red dots appear on the map. There are probably seven or eight for each group of buildings in Fuyuki, and the umbrella of red dots extends out for nearly three kilometers from the city. With another button press, the dots clear, to be replaced by a series of fields, centered on the Oni's Spine.

"Tatsuya PMC is forming the second layer. I have already set up the first team, headed by Lieutenant Ordion, with orders to be prepared to engage any enemies that present themselves with the new .608 rifles. If they score a hit, we should find ourselves with one less enemy to deal with."

A circle, sadly leaving around a third of Miyamachou outside of its bounds, denotes the effective engagement range of the snipers.

"As you all know, relying upon luck to achieve results is a fool's proposition. As such, I am giving each of you assignments to see to.

Rosara, I want patrols, some discreet, some less discreet, moving through the city. They will be responding to incidents as they occur, so please keep them well supported. They are not to attempt to engage a servant, but if the criminal elements start to act up, or a Master leaves themselves vulnerable, I'd like to have them in the area.

Finch, you'll be responsible for intelligence within the city. Take whomever you need. If you see an opportunity to set up other sniper nests, take it.

Langley, I'll be frank on this one. I expect casualties here, both among ours and among civilians. Try to minimize the damage.

Pibald, you'll be the acting commander for this mission. If you see something that just needs to be done, and no-one is around to see to it, ensure that the order goes out. In the event of an emergency such that I am unavailable, you'll have command.

Mortimer, you'll be managing base defense and supply distribution. Try and keep the others from getting too greedy with supplies, but don't be frugal with them either. You've got a rather large amount of funding available, so don't hesitate to spend it.

Are there any questions at this point?"

Rose
"Very well then my lady. Allow me to accompany you." Rose says without taking her eyes off Saber

Bruiser
"Hmmm... What's there to pan we find the enemy and beet the (r@9 out of them... I am far more interested in planning our conquest of the World than this war!"

Bruiser's face scrunches up as if contemplating something.
"...But I guess tactics are always important..."
Then with a sudden explosion of emotion she cheers
"ALRIGHT LETS GRAB SOME SAKE AND GO MEET WITH OUR GENERALS!"

???Unknown???
A young girl in a pink maid's dress sits atop a large building overlooking Fuyuki city. Her long silver hair blows in the wind, her red eyes staring down to the city.
"It looks like things are going to finally get interesting around here again! I can't wait till the war starts again!"

"Hohoho. you seem quite eager for things to start Lily." calls a man's voice from behind her. "Are you perchance thinking of taking an actor's role this time around?"

The girl named Lily tilts back her head and glances over her shoulder at figure in the shadow.
"saa, whichever is more interesting. And what about you? What role will you be playing in this play I wonder?" (saa is a Japanese expression roughly meaning I won't answer that question definitively)

The man chuckles "Hohoho, well now that would be telling wouldn't it. And I'm sure you aren't one who enjoys spoilers."

Ryou takes a sip from his glass then replies to his servant "Well then it's a pleasure to have you on board. Now as oddly fascinating as your tales of gratuitous violence are now that we've gotten pleasantries out of the way I think it would be a good time to discuss how we should go about completing the task at hand namely eliminating magi and servants neither of us currently possess any means of locating. Now Assassin you seem like an inventive fellow when it comes to matters of taking life do you have any suggestions?"

Caster

Rosara, Fitch, Mortimer, Langley, Pibald and Mortimer all say in perfect Unison, "Yes Sir!"

.....why are there two Mortimers?

Assassin

"Well... first we must have information before we make a move. I'm sure your cameras can do that somewhat... I certainly hope that you have had them enchanted to track magical beings. After we jave enmpugh information... Well, though I may be far more enduring than the majority of most Assassin class servants, it is of my blood to have... improved chances of winning, if you will. And here is what I suggest..."

OOC: Handled in PM

"I see" - Ishida stopped walking, when he heard of the five leylines. "Your knowledge exceeds that of modern magi. That is most fortunate" - he took a map out of his backpack - "Please, show me the leylines, including the one, you have secured. As for the collateral damage - I've got your point. There is something, we'll have to do, but I don't seek needless blood"
Ishida found a suitable root and took his seat, putting the backpack near him. He still needed to regain his harmony with the world, but the news about leyline was worth considering.

Matthew just grins at the last part. He wasn't going to try and correct her about the generals part, instead just enjoying the drive as the head back to the town. The wind in his face, and the last rays of the sun, it was an all too perfect day for a drive. Still, he guides her back to his place.

"I think you'll enjoy the place. It has a very nice view of the city."

"Quite a few questions, then. Mortimer, you're first."

Martelli

Following you off the plane are an assortment of your brothers and cousins, all in various states of inebriation, stumbling and slurring their words. The first one sets his foot down on the tarmac, and within one second an out-of control bagggage cart clips him, bending his knee at an unnatural angle, but missing you. All of your brothers laugh and hassle him as he writhes in pain, screaming. Though they all know how to do so, none help him.

Caster

Both of the Mortimers say "Yes sir!" In confusion, then look at each other, then utter a few more words at the same time. After a minutes of this shenanegainry, one of them starts laughing, and turns back into the form of Caster. "Ah, my apologies good Mortimer, but that never gets old. I am Caster, your most powerful ally in this war. I wish you all well on your assignments."

Bruiser

ooc: Because you did not specify the dice gods say you go to the one on the left.

As you get to the apartment, Elisa waits at the door to greet you. "Welcome home Matthew! Id everything go well with the ritual?" She beams. She's been one of the most confident people in your magical abilities, and supported you as much as she can.

However, when she glances to the broadly smirking girl in a bikini behind you, her mood changes somewhat. "Honey... who is... this?" She says, obviously concerned.

As if waiting for the moment, Bruiser shouts out, "I AM [SERVANTS NAME AND TITLE], AND WITH YOUR LORD WE SHALL CONQUER THE WORLD! NO ARMY CAN STOP US, NO STRATEGY CAN FOOL US, NO CASTLE CAN HOLD OUT AGAINST US. Now , I ask of you... please get some refreshments and sake for us." Somewhat frieghtened, Elisa goes off to comply.

It felt good to be home. Getting to see his wife, and to relax for a second sounded wonderful to him. However, he should of known better. He really should of.

As soon as [Servants name] finishes, he just sighs.

"[servants name], that was my wife, not a servant. I'd prefer it if we didn't treat her as a servant."

"Anyways, here, lets head this way." He says, leading her to one of the back rooms of the apartment.

OOC: Rest is revealed in a PM.

"I was wondering when you would see fit to reveal yourself. Now, I believe that you had a question, or perhaps several, Mortimer?"

Etrius shows little surprise at Caster's antics, though a brief smile is allowed to show.

As the young lady put away her luggage she hears a loud wail on the other side of the plane, immediately recognizing the voice and the look on Amelia’s face Rajei spoke out.

“Woman. You are to stay put right here,” ignoring her familiar’s advice, the young magi drops her luggage and sets out towards her brothers, “Amy. Amy. Amelia Abendroth Martelli get back here!”

Within moments Amelia was by her injured relative’s side, quickly healing his wounds. “There, does it still hurt Angelo?”

Bruiser

"Ah, an excellent idea. I will rest then to prepare for the coming battles... after the sake of course. Come, let us drink to your health and happy marriage with your wife!"

Caster

"I do not believe somy masyer. I have already come to the conclusions of whatever I was pondering before." He leans back in his seat, smiling.

Martelli

Angelo's screaming stops. He opens his moth.

Angelo lunges forwards and assaults several of the other relatives standing there, berrating them for not helping, not saying a word to you about yours.

Isn't your family wonderful?

Isamu could not help but grin at Beserkers response. He was almost certain he'd spotted a gleam in his partner's eye before it respond it. He understood me! he cheered internally. Quick response, complex speach patterns and appears to be quite lucid and has a good grasp of the situation. Looks like he came out of the grinder well enough; oral communication took a hit, but he still seems to have his language skills intact. Need to get a better grasp of things, but I think can work with this, he noted as he observed Beserker's demonstration and speach.

"Father, Mother; please stand back. I'm going to try something, and its going to get pretty cold. Rather not get you two caught up in this if possible, seeing as this might be my only chance to do this for a while. Best to act while your foes still haven't raised their guards after all," suggested the young magi as he lowered his goggles and pulled up the hood of his jacket once more, before focusing on his servant. "Friend, I'm going to try something that'll hopefully clear the air and help us both out. I'm going to need you to stand still for a bit, alright?" he explained as he began focusing his prana for the project ahead.

Archer
"Very well."
Archer conjurers up a mirror which begins to show an aerial view of Fuyuki city. 5 flame like markers appear on the map one over Ryuudou Temple, one over the church, one over the Tosaka household, One in Fuyuki East park, and one over a seemingly random street on the way to the Church. 3 smaller markers also appear over a section of the west forest, an abandoned house outside of town, and the shipping yard.
"As you can see, significant magical events and structures have already been built on the oldest of the four lay lines. The fifth appears to have formed approximately four years ago as the result of two or more Deity like beings altering the natural flow the power to that location probably in battle. The other three points are locations that appear as though someone is attempting to make those locations new lay lines. As for the lay line I have secured, it is her [location]. It would appear that someone has intentionally left a piece of my [Noble Phantasm] there for us prior to my summoning."

Berserker
"H--Urrrr--AT D-rr Y-rU -NT-rNrDrr -Orrrr-Orrrrr?"
Berserker returns his sword to his back curious.

OOC: don't try to infect him with crest worms you will not like the result

Matthew just grins.

"To my marriage! I'll wake you later if I find anything. I did forget to ask though, is there anything you need to or want to know about the area? Or anything I should know about you?"

Pm'ed remaining details.

"I see. And you, Field Manager Mortimer?"

Roger Archibald wrote:

Roger looked at his servant critically, before breaking out into a grin. "Indeed we shall, [SERVANT NAME], indeed we shall." he said, regretting not bringing his own billowing cape to the occasion. Getting out-caped just wouldn't do for a man in his position, but fortunately that was a trifling worry compared to the ones he had right now.

Or should that be unfortunately?

No matter, he thought as he prepared to get started. "So, I suppose we should get started. Fifteen other mages, fifteen other servants, blah blah lah di dah KILL EVERYONE. I think that about covers it. Although..." he paused in thought for a moment, before remembering something rather important. Keeping his own contingency magic up, he carefully erased part of the circle. "Now, we must leave. Someone will notice what has happened here..." he gestured to the corpse with a sharp object through its heart over yonder, "and I'd like to not have to deal with rowdy locals as well as our competitors."

OOC: sorry for the delay missed it thinking it was one of my posts seeing as it doesn't have a picture in front of it

Monster:
"Indeed. Confrontation without adequate time to prepare would be most undesirable."

"Quite so! Before we do anything else we need a place of operations somewhere in this town. If you would care to follow me?" he half-asked, half-ordered his monstrous Servant. After cleaning up the majority of the ritual while leaving only a few flaming candles and a pot of blood he stepped out into the streets, Presence Concealment magic ensuring that it looked like he had never been there.

Weaving an illusion to look like an average Japanese citizen, he turned to Monster. "I'm going to have to ask you to stay in spirit form during the journey. Don't want to play my hand too soon, after all..." he said, before heading down the street away from the old building. "I have an apartment around here, but methinks that would be too obvious... " he murmured loud enough for his servant to hear. "The body will be found, and it will look like a ritualistic killing, and it WILL bring magi from all around trying to hunt down the mage who summoned. I have some things I want to prepare, and it will take time."

Gradually he meandered his way over to [location], trying to avoid looking like he was heading straight there.

Amelia shrunk away from the following argument, not wanting the fire to fall on her, which it usually does. Back at the car she found her cat shaking his head in discontempt, and found herself giving an apologetic smile.

With all her things packed, the young magus took a look at the address of their new home, sighing heavily at her family’s conspicuous choice. “We’re heading to a battlefield and they’re treating it as a game. I should put up a boundary field as soon as I can.”

As you leave the area Monster tells your, "Ah I do not believe you will have to worry about that" and disappears for a bit.

the next day you see on the news a report of a murder in that very location. The police have already arrested a suspect, a homeless man who is expected to make a plea of insanity, and is believed to have lived at that spot.

(OOC: no one suspects a thing, yeah he's that good at this)

"Very well then as risky as your proposed stratagem is for our current situation I’ll admit it sounds far more tactically sound then merely hiding here and waiting for the pieces to fall as they may." Ryou replied as he put his drink down and began putting on his coat and shoes. "I suggest we depart for the city if nothing else we'll have a chance to confirm whether or not there’s been any large scale collateral damage inflicted on the people there as a result of the war.”

Idaliseviel smiled at the two as they accompanied her throughout her household. "First off, I'll show you to my bedroom so you know where I'll be, Saber." Her hand gently grazed the wall of the hallway to make sure she was guiding herself in the proper direction and then turned the knob of the door and opened it slowly.

"And here it is! Just a quick glance as we continue on." She paused for a moment, not sure if Saber even took the time to glance inside her room or not, or mentally note where it was located.

"Continuing on," Idaliseviel hummed as she shut the door quietly and continued down the hall and finished up the quick, but insightful, tour around the Einzbern household. "And that's that! Rose, how's the weather outside? Is it alright for a little stroll through the trees?" She asked her maid, curiosity brimming in her eyes. "It'll be nice to let Saber get some fresh air for his arrival! Or is it too late?"

Bruiser

"Ah, Indeed," Bruiser says, laying down on the bed. "If you can get me the locations of any enemy strongholds and the strength and number of their forces, we could better plan for battle. Oh, and more Sake would be nice too." She rubs her eyes and lays down. "You may leave now."

Well, its obvious someone has fulfilled the role of "Household Car." At least she likes you.

Martelli
You quickly get your things and go to the pickup area. Some of your relatives who were sent on ahead to prepare for your arrival come and pick you up. You can't help but notice their black suits and black car and general demeanor make them look like they've come out of a mob movie, the ones some elements of your family are fond of.

They drive you and your relatives to [LOCATION] and a large [BALCONY] household. you can't help but marvel at the size of the thing... and then you realise how many people your family will send here, and it begins to look quite small. However, when shown to your room, you have a decent sized apartment for your living space, as well as a flood basement downstairs where you can set up a nice workshop; surprisingly, this has already been started, and even more surprisingly, it does not have any major gaping flaws that would cause it to spectacularly fail, as mostly everything your family touches does.

From the floor above you you hear a loud THUD, and from that see the obligatory shortcomings required for your family's handiwork.

Rou

OOC: You would know there hasn't been any large scale damage yet because its still day 0 of the war. No battles have gone on yet, and going out now would risk that you start a fight. You can still go out if you want, but it might not be advised. Also, you might want to inform Assassin about that other PM I sent you. The second one.

OOC: I am assuming you conducted your summoning ritual early to mid-day, please correct me if I am wrong

IC:"It's a bit chilly at the moment, however I don't see anything wrong with taking a walk around the Grounds"

"I fail to understand one thing" - Ishida looked at the map with some kind of worry. "The Noble Phantasm of a servant is a copy issued by the Throne of Heroes along with the spiritual body. There is no way, your Noble Phantasm could appear from there without you. Could the actual relic be in Fuyuki?"
"Now, for our course of action. After I meditate, we'll go [here] and then [here], since these are not far from here, anyway, and I want to investigate - there's something fishy and I don't want it to enter the scene in a most inconvinient moment. Then we'll move [here]" - he showed another location on the aerial map - "where I'm going to [battleplan]. After that, we should retreat [here] to restore power. And after that - we will see."
Ishida patiently waited for Archer's reply before starting his meditaton

Matthew just smirks. Truely, he had summoned a great servant. But how strong would the servants be who they faced? That would be something he'd have to ponder about.

Deciding it's best to see what it going on, he........

OOC: PM yet again :P

Swift

There's nothing wrong at[location.] Everything is quiet.

Your wife joins you in bed, squeezing you tightly.

Matthew has quite a bit of trouble sleeping at first. He's thinking about the war, the challenges ahead of them, and his servant. He hadn't expected such a lively one, but in truth, he was glad. He knew it'd push him to do his best. He had to.

Sleep finally found him, and so he rested, dreaming about some new spell that had just come to him. If only he could actually remember his dreams, it'd actually be useful.

Mortimer
"Yes. Regarding civilians displaced by our operations, what are our specific actions to be? Also, you mentioned that funding was effectively unlimited for this. What did you mean by that?

Finally, what capabilities do our opponents have?"

"This building is probably one of the best defended locations in the city. If civilians need shelter, we will provide it here. The holy church is moderating the war, so I will be trying to get them to take in civilians. Since the church is not directly participating, they should be safe there.

The contract is cost plus. Feel free to spend as much as you need; we have no reason to hold back. Furthermore, loss in this war will likely result in our destruction, so if you feel that we should spend it.

Regarding our opponent's capabilities, I will address that while discussing the fourth layer of coverage.

Now, Langley, did you have any questions?"

Langley
"Mortimer asked it already. I assume that we are to render aid to any wounded civilians that take shelter with us?"

"Yes. Rosara, did you have any questions?"

"Yes, sir. You said that you wanted patrols, some discreet and some not. Could you please clarify that?"

"Yes. I'd like groups of two-three, up to eight, moving through the city in low-profile armor under plainclothes. They should, of course, be armed. We just got a shipment of breakdown rifles designed for covert operations, so issue those.

For our overt patrols, use the heavy armor, battle rifles, everything. Bring out the APCs, if you feel like it. Those patrols are to serve as a crime deterrent, and as flypaper, so they should be heavily armed, heavily armored, and fast moving. Anything attacking them should be pinned down for long enough to engage with other assets.

Casualties may occur, but if we all stay alert, this will be a war of attrition rather than a war of champions. We should be the best equipped to fight such a war.

Finch, I believe that you are next. Any questions?"

"Yes, sir. You said you wanted me to set up a sensor network throughout Fuyuki city. We seem to already have a rather strong network, so I'm wondering why resources are going to this.

Also, how many nests do you want set up?"

"Once our opponents figure out that the ravens are our eyes, they will seek to blind us. More mundane sensors are likely to be overlooks, in such a case.

As for nests, the ideal would be to have every point in the city covered by three manned nests. That will likely be impractical, but do what you can.

Pibald, do you have any questions?"

"Just one. Who is he, and how did he take Mortimer's appearance?"

Lieutenant Commander Pibald gestures towards Caster.

"I'll cover that in stage four.

If all questions have been answered, I'll continue."

In unison once more, the five commanders respond.

"All questions answered, sir."

"Very well.

The third layer of engagement will be my familiars, again. For this war, I will be using a form of combat familiar, known as an Eidolon, to carry out attacks on targets found by the first two layers.

These will primarily be used to distract and pin down opponents, giving our forces an opportunity to make a lethal attack.

Are there any questions regarding this stage?"

Four voices say "No, sir." One does not.

Pibald speaks up.

"Sir, if I may ask a question, and make a request?

Where will these eidolons be kept?"

"They will be formed as the situation requires, on the scene.

Your request?"

"Right. Please don't use them at full power in the city. I've seen them used at that level before, and it could wipe out a city block."

"Yes, sir. I will honor that request, and refrain from the creation of High Eidolons and Great Eidolons within populated areas."

"Thank you, sir."
