dual-cursed oracle, so I know you're cool already.
Ha, hope so, this is the first time I've played an Oracle, so hopefully so.

Come on, kick some gobo butt!

A reminder, it is Petros' turn. Also, for confirmation's sake, Coglen is now stable.
Ms. Pleiades
|
From the battle, Kaley, Dorin, Petros and Coglen earn 200 XP each.
Also, Briar Thor, if you could send me a link to an image you'd like to be used for your character token, it would be appreciated.

So... are you guys going to keep healing? Get back to exploring? Your characters have to show a little personal initiative to keep exploring or to do something.
Ms. Pleiades
|
Alright, looks like there's a few things to settle:
1. Dorin, are you going to be doing anything to heal yourself?
2. If your are going to be resting, kindly indicate whether you'll leave the tower to do so, or choosing a room in which to do so.
| Coglen |
No plans to rest myself, but if others want to i am amenable.
Ms. Pleiades
|
Unless Petros and Dorin speak up, I'll presume they've prepared their spells and are ready to head back to the Spire.
| Coglen |
Ah, I will get my Cure Light Wounds extract back as well.
Ms. Pleiades
|
Kaley, I'm going to assume you won't be able to beat Perception 20 with stealth?
If so, I'll roll up initiatives.
| Kaley Toller |
I was still waiting for someone to respond to her question.
I'll assume the others are okay with that, so I'll roll in the gameplay thread.
And... she'd make it if we counted the +3 bonus from the 30 ft distance between her and most of the goblins, but otherwise she'd fail.
Either away, rolling initiative would probably be appropriate. Let me know if she gets a surprise round.
Ms. Pleiades
|
Let me know if you guys would ever prefer me to scale back on gore description.
| Briar Thor |
All good here, I don't mind gory descriptive text.
| Coglen |
gore doesnt bother me. the only thing i avoid is RPing sexual stuff. i dont mind if other people do, i just dont do it with my characters.
Ms. Pleiades
|
Petros, it's your turn. Can you guys not see the initiative tracker in Roll20?
| Coglen |
i think people may not click roll20 unless they know it is their turn. not sure, i am really speaking for myself here, but with the load time of roll20 it is semi-painful to do (though i usually just pop it up in a tab and look at other tabs while waiting)

I'm getting slightly bewildered by the fact that I seem to have to post an individualized message every time someone's turn comes up after someone else's turn, and I can't tell if it's because somebody's run into difficulties in posting their turn, or if it's because they don't know it's their turn. The game is really grinding to a halt due to this, and I'm looking to see if you guys have any ideas, whether it's having a period of time after which I'll assume your character is delaying, handling initiative differently, or whatever.
For completeness' sake, the current turn order is:
Petros
Zombie
Zombie
Briar Thor
Dorin
Zombie
Kaley
Zombie
Zombie
Coglen

Well, a lot of groups I've seen have it so that if you don't post an action within a day of it being your turn you either get skipped or botted. Most people don't like having either happen so I imagine it is a pretty effective strategy for keeping people active, for combats at least.
It's an unfortunate thing to do, but given PbP is already a fairly slow format, especially with combat, it makes sense to have some sort of similar rule in place.

yep
| Briar Thor |
Well this is an awkward time but I probably won't be able to post much this weekend. Should be good again by Monday night but I've got a bunch going on, people coming over, etc.
Will post when I can. (Feel free to bot and keep things moving if need be.)

Just a reminder to everyone, you're on the Fast Level Progression Track for experience. That means level up is at 1300 XP. I saw a few sheets that were listing 2000 XP for their next level.
Ms. Pleiades
|
Anybody else going to do or discuss anything while Kaley's preparing for the climb?
| Briar Thor |
Speaking of, what experience did I come in at?
Ms. Pleiades
|
Well, the holidays are wrapping up, so we can get back to a more regular posting rate here. Let me know if any of you guys still have travel coming up in the next few days.
Let me also know if you'll be re-entering the spire via the upper alcove, the hidden entrance (how you entered the first day), or the main entrance.
| Kaley Toller |
A minor note - while Kaley was standing on the outcropping next to the upper entrance to the spire and waiting for the rest of the group to climb up, she dismissed her Monkey Fish extract and put her armor back on.
Ms. Pleiades
|
Let me know when you guys intend for your characters to search for the way down deeper into the tower.
| Kaley Toller |
Same. The difficult terrain is gone too now, right?
Ms. Pleiades
|
Correct, the difficult terrain is gone too.
How close are each of you guys to levelling up?
| Kaley Toller |
Actually, upon checking the numbers it looks like we just reached 1300 XP, enough to level up.
240 XP from working with High Mother Dremagne and fighting the zombies from the cave
350 XP from fighting the goblin cleric and his minions
160 XP from fighting the goblins with their dogs by the front entrance
200 XP from fighting the goblins with the horsechoppers in the bedroom
250 XP from fighting the zombies in front of the spire under the cage
100 XP from passing further into the spire
Total: 240 + 350 + 160 + 200 + 250 + 100 = 1300
Does that seem right to you?
| Coglen |
yeah i think i have been adding some XP to my paizo page and some to my mythweavers
Ms. Pleiades
|
Yeah, Kaley's numbers match up with what I've been looking at, and meshes with the fact that you guys are now at the second floor of the Spire. So you guys should all be able to level up at this point.
Briar Thor, for purposes of keeping things running smoothly, you can bring yourself to 1300 XP total as well, putting you at level with the party.
Ms. Pleiades
|
I had thought I had included HP at level up guidelines in the recruitment thread, but I was mistaken.
Full Hit Die value at level up, though you'll need to rest or use potions/spells to recover to full.
Ms. Pleiades
|
Petros, Coglen, and Dorin, please update your character sheets in mythweavers to account for the levelling up so I can adjust your tokens' health values appropriately.
| Dorin Ironbars |
I did I am pretty sure. I remember levelling anyway. I'll look again.
| Coglen |
updated. didnt ro9ll the knowledges in gameplay because i dont have them trained.
Ms. Pleiades
|
Okay, will everyone please move their characters in roll20 to accurately represent where their character is standing in light of Kaley opening the door to the next chamber?
| Coglen |
moved, should have 10hp instead of 5, unless i am mistaken
| Briar Thor |
updated!
Ms. Pleiades
|
Guys, none of you have done anything with the new room Kaley has found. Somebody please do something. In approximately 28 hours I'll send out Personal Messages to see who is still able to participate in this campaign.
| Coglen |
Ah, i thought she had the key and was looking for the door. Then I did not see your March 2 post for some reason, until today when I saw that there was one new post from Kaley.
Ms. Pleiades
|
Alright, I've gotten either gameplay or discussion responses from all players except Petros, and I have sent a personal message to them asking if they're going to be able to be active.
| Briar Thor |
Don't forget, Briar is carrying his super awesome morale inspiring flag which gives you a +1 morale bonus to attack, damage, and saving throws vs Charms and Fear when your within 30 feet of him!
Ms. Pleiades
|
Well, it looks to be fairly certain that we've lost Petros' player. So I'm weighing my options. I can turn Petros into a GMPC, find a replacement player and somehow introduce their character into the campaign in a timely manner, and the option I'm leaning towards is making a fresh character to serve as a GMPC.
What are your guys' thoughts on this?
