Normally a torch would burn them away hover due to the fact that they have lasted more than almost 400 years I am unsure.

Going down the stairs you all follow a narrow winding hallway. Looking at the walls they look to be carved stone. Lining the walls is numerous nitches where within each lies a skull with a plaque below them written in ishtarian script. The hallway is unusually dark as there is a thick fog that fills the location. The unusual thing is that each skull gives off a slight illumination and combined with the fog makes the winding hall rather confusing.
Eventually you come to a fog filled room. Looking around there is a passageway that goes to the east and the west but otherwise you can just see more skulls on the walls. However that is when a flicker hits.
You see in the fog the betrayer moving with purpose through the fog and heads toward the south of the room and seems to vanish into the fog as it closes behind him. Soon afterward you see the young priest holding the glowing sword that seems to cause the fog to part as he moves into the room. Suddenly from the walls come two black shadows that move toward the young priest seeking to suck the life out of him. He raises the sword up and intones "Paladine I pray to you, give me your light to banish the darkness."
The sword glows with a holy light as bright as the sun and the shadows shrek in horrible pain as the light strikes them and they immediately flee away through the walls. The entire room is revealed and the Young Priest looks around. His eyes then turn to the south wall and he points the sword at it and says "Paladine guide my way and show me what hides from the light of day."
The sword glows again and an ornate double door appears to the south. The young priest heads to the south opening the door and shuffling quietly into the room. The image then fades from view.

Ok Gabriel is able to "Disbelieve" the illusion. To his sight the door in the vision appears. He is able to shove the doors open and when he does so everyone is able to see through the Silent Image and into the next room.
As you open the door you immediately assailed by the dry, dusty scent of the grave. Torches flicker to life lighting the room in their silhouette. Stone Sarcophi are nearby nearly placed around the preparatory room, although some bear heavy scaring, as someone had attempted to destroy them.
On the far side of the room opposite to the doorway you see a single stone sarcophagus bearing the relief of a man in holy vestments. Lying on top of the sarcophagus is a skeleton dressed in tattered black robes with the jaw of the skull wide open. Pinning the skeleton to the coffin is a beautiful looking sword that looks crystalline and shines with an inner light.
Another skeleton lies in the southwest corner in tattered robes with a white and silver medallion clutched in his hand.
Suddenly a flicker strikes the party
The Betrayer stands before the large sarcophagus, his hands held high as he gazes up, his voice echoing through the chamber as he offers a prayer to Chemosh.
“Dark God of Immortality, He Who Stops Death, I devote myself to you, in body, in mind, in heart, and in soul...”
As the Betrayer repeats his prayer, he does not notice the door opening or the young acolyte entering with the glowing short sword in his hand. In the same vein, the young acolyte does not seem to notice the large skeletal creature lurking in the shadows of the crypt.
“Halt, Betrayer!” the acolyte cries out. Startled out of his prayer, the Betrayer turns around, his eyes gleaming from behind his skull mask as he stares at the young man. Suddenly, the Betrayer begins to laugh, a cruel, mocking sound that causes the acolyte to tremble.
“Ahhhh, so you are the one who would face me, Neran? You have not even put on the white robes of Paladine what makes you think you can stop me from completing my ritual?”
The Betrayer shakes his head, clucking his tongue.
“Ye…yes, Betrayer. I shall be the one who will bring you before the gods for Justice,” Neran replies softly, clenching his jaw as he takes a step forward, rising the short blade before him.
The Betrayer’s eyes glitter as he raises a hand to point at the acolyte. He hisses something low under his breath in a strange, disturbing language that causes Neran to flinch back in anticipation of being struck by magic. Once more, the Betrayer laughs as he shakes his head,
“Ahhh, Neran... I shouldn’t waste my power on you, not when I have something else that can do it for me. Krevok! Vagarolinathor!”
From the shadows steps a massive skeletal figure resembling the demons that manifested above. It stalks toward the boy with a bony smile of malice on its face as the Betrayer once more raises his hands overhead and continues his chant.
“AN OSYLUTH!” Neran gasps, clutching his own weapon in white-knuckled hands. Closing his eyes, he whispers a prayer as he holds his blade forward. Once more, the blade erupts in brilliant sunlight, sending it cascading throughout the room. The fiend roars as the holy light blinds it.
Before the fiend, or the Betrayer, can respond, Neran rushes forward at a dead run, the blade held forth as he skirts around the fiend toward the evil priest. Time seems to dilate, the moments stretching out as Neran lunges forward with his sword... as the Betrayer yells out a final, desperate phrase...as the fiend sends his massive tail towards the boy’s unprotected back...the Betrayer’s body jerks as the glowing sword pierces his chest with enough force that the blade embeds itself into the stone sarcophagus beneath him...Neran screams in pain as the fiend’s massive tail slices through his spine and then tosses him to the side where he collapses in a faint...the fiend roars in victory as he turns to rend the acolyte with his claws...Neran closes his eyes, clutching his medallion with a bloody fist and whispers something that only his god can hear...a brilliant explosion of light explodes out from the acolyte’s body, throwing the fiend across the room as a golden radiance infuses the walls. As the blinding light fades, the Betrayer lays lifeless upon the sarcophagus, his body pierced by the holy blade. Neran lays on the floor, a peaceful look upon his features, his spirit already carried away to join with his god. And a fiend summoned by the Betrayer howls in rage as it finds itself trapped in a crypt by the last words of a hero who history would remain unknown for many, many centuries...
And with that the flicker fades from view.
However it is then when appearing in the corner of the room the Bone Devil from the vision appears and looks toward you its bony face hard to judge but it definitely does not look friendly as it locks eyes with its milky white sockets. All of you except Shroud and Gabriel (Who are immune to fear) feel a sense of absolute dread from seeing this. If you want to even consider approaching it you will need to make a Will Save.
Gabriel, The Just
"You still live fiend. I will finish what the boy started. Kiri-Jolith empower me with the spirit of fallen hero and his sacrifice for good that was done here."
Gabriel draws Aluashean and holds it before his face. He kisses the blade as he swoops it down cutting in front of him only to shift and present his shield with the blade held now high behind him in a strike position.
"You will no longer be trapped here demon, come meet your redemption at the end of my sword."
Gabriel smites the demon and takes a defensive stance, but gives it a chance to parlay.
Jor Majere
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17
Raising his greatsword in front of him and taking combat stance, Jor prepares for the combat "Seems like I will have a chance to combat some other beings than humans for first time... time to test my mettle with creatures I have only heard about" as wicked grin appears on Jors face
High God of Krynn
Ok Terevalis and Athola you both are shaken for a round. In addition if it gets within 5 feet of you have to make another save or be panicked for 1d6 rounds. Remember to add a +4 to the save for having a Paladin around due to his Aura of Courage ability. So Jor passes but Athola and Terevalis still fail.
An 18 knowledge planes is enough to know that this is some kind of Demon but does not give any further details on its strengths and weaknesses.
Alathea of Solace
Will save 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17
Regardless of what the fiend does, Alathea surges forward to grab the blade piercing the heart of the Betrayer.
If necessary - Initiative 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
High God of Krynn
The Bone Devil gives a hateful glare at Gabriel. Perhaps it may have conversed but the sight of a holy warrior in front of him fills him with utter rage and he prepares to peel the flesh from this warrior.
Bone Devil Initiative: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16
Everyone roll initiative. I will put up a map this evening.
Terevalis Unctio of House Mysti
Iniative 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8 the dice are loving me today. I think it is because I'm on my phone.
Devil or demon?
Terevalis Unctio of House Mysti
It is not of our world Wilder Elf. The magic of the Lord of Bones or the cleric that called it here leaves it until such a time that it as fulfilled it's pact.
High God of Krynn
Terevalis the creature is a Devil, probably summoned from the abyss bony looking looking appearance servitor of the Lord of Bones.
Now this area (The room you are in only) is under "Magic Circle Against Evil" effect so everyone can add +2 to their AC versus its attacks and a +2 to their saving throws versus evil creatures.
As for Shroud he goes on 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
The map is up both here and on the main campaign list
The sarcophagus at the south end has the skeleton and the shard of light.
Terevalis Unctio of House Mysti
Did the +2 make those who failed the saves vs fear make it?
The protection provided by E'li is still present here.
Terevalis Unctio of House Mysti
Opps, how will the protection from evil work with me and the devil since we are both evil. Is it pointing in to keep it in like a barrier.
Patience warriors. We do not know yet what we encounter. This devil from Chemosh's realm of the dead could be goading you into a fight so as to break it's prison and unleash the full power of its unwordly might upon hapless fools who are think with the sword and not the head You are dealing here with forces that you do not and cannot comprehend.
High God of Krynn
Ok first to act is Shroud.
"Eeeks! That's one big skellybones. Guess this tree might be of use aginst it.
Shroud bounds forward and tries to poke the Demon with the tree.
Tree Pokey: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16
The tree touches the Demon and it flares up burning the flesh of the creature doing 2d4 ⇒ (2, 3) = 5 Divine damage bypassing damage reduction. This draws some ire from the Demon but its hate still remains on the Paladin.
Next up the Demon's turn. It takes a 5 foot step and does a full attack action. However as the Kender drew some of its ire its going to take a Tail Swat to the face. You do notice though its blows are somewhat staggered as though the creature is rather sickly although its hard to tell on a bony skeleton figure.
The creature spending hundreds of years in a holy zone has the a persistent Sickened condition in this area.
Claw: 1d20 + 14 - 2 ⇒ (10) + 14 - 2 = 22
Claw: 1d20 + 14 - 2 ⇒ (5) + 14 - 2 = 17
Bite: 1d20 + 14 - 2 ⇒ (19) + 14 - 2 = 31
Tail: 1d20 + 14 - 2 ⇒ (8) + 14 - 2 = 20
Gabriel heroically deflects 2 claw attacks but the hideous bite catches him on the shoulder and penetrates his armor.
Bite Damage: 1d8 + 5 - 2 ⇒ (4) + 5 - 2 = 7
Unfortunately Shroud gets a face full of tail taking
Tail Damage: 3d4 + 5 - 2 ⇒ (2, 2, 1) + 5 - 2 = 8
Fortitude Save VS Poison: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
Shroud takes 1d3 ⇒ 3 Strength damage
Shroud is struck by the tail and pierced by its envenomed barb. he starts foaming at the mouth and choking.
Next in the order Gabriel gets to go.
Gabriel, The Just
"Est Sularus oth Mithas!"
Gabriel cries out as the might and faith of his order bolster his strength. He takes a step to flank with the brave kender.
Sword Swing: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (20) + 19 = 39
Damage: 1d8 + 6 + 2 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 6 + 2 + 8 = 19
Sword Swing Confirmation: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (2) + 19 = 21 Seems like a good time to burn a hero point, could sway the battle so That is a 25 to confirm.
Damage: 1d8 + 6 + 2 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 6 + 2 + 8 = 22 So 41 damage no DR :)
"I will make your passing swift."
High God of Krynn
25 does confirm although it will cost a hero point to do so. Boy a +19 to hit! WOW! Are you sure the calculation is correct?
Gabriel rushes forward his sword shining with holy power and drives the blade into the creature's bony torso. It howls in pain and anguish as the holy sword cuts into him. But the hideous monster still is on his feet and looks like he could endure more blows before being slain. Still he gives Gabriel a cautious look now seeing just how much a threat he is.
Jor Majere
Power Attack GS: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (19) + 16 = 35
Damage GS: 2d6 + 16 ⇒ (4, 5) + 16 = 25
Crit Confirm: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (3) + 17 = 20
Damage GS: 2d6 + 16 ⇒ (4, 4) + 16 = 24
Moving a bit closer to the monster and preventing it moving out from its spot towards altar direction Jor unleashed a swing towards its body
AC: 22 | HP:46/46[/oo]
[ooc]Standard action: attack | Move action: 10 feet
Athola
Initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18 Seems I forgot initiative roll
Athola realizing she would be most ineffective against the bone devil without any magical weapons, decides to head off to young priest skeleton to search for anything that could help her.
perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25
High God of Krynn
Jor strikes a resounding blow on the Demon but does not hit anything vital in his blow (Not a Critical). He notices that his Great-sword although harming the creature is much less effective that it is against a human being but the force of his blow still causes it harm.
The demon takes 15 points of damage after DR.
Athola you find nothing on the priest that could be of use except the medallion of faith around the neck of the skeleton. It might do damage to the creature if used as a touch attack. Of course there is always the Shard of Light blade you can take that you've seen in the vision as effective against this thing.
Mithas Aran
Jor should grab that sword.
Mithas plunks a couple of arrows at the the devil,
Pew: 1d20 + 8 + 1 - 1 ⇒ (2) + 8 + 1 - 1 = 10
Pew: 1d20 + 8 + 1 - 1 ⇒ (19) + 8 + 1 - 1 = 27
Damage?: 1d8 + 3 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 3 + 1 + 2 = 8

Despite his efforts, the magic resistance of this creature is too powerful for the rays of fire to overcome with terevalis arcane might and the Rays fickle out when they strike the demon the fire washing over the creature without harm. The Bone Devil can't help to grin at his feeble attempt.
Alathea pulls out the sword and there is a bright flash of light in the room that floods the entire area blinding everyone for a moment. The devil is especially affected blinded by the holy light of the sword and staggers around blindly and enraged at being rid of its sight. However when your vision clears you see that the body of the Betrayer has vanished from where it was. To where? Who knows. Well actually since Terevalis has his arcane senses up he can give me a spellcraft check as he senses some magic beyond that of the sword being unleashed when it was pulled out.
High God of Krynn
Terevslis detects a teleport without error spell go off on the skeleton when the sword was pulled out, a very powerful teleportation spell that can transport something a very far distance without a chance of mishap. As for the sword it let off an unique magical effect a Sunray that blinded the demon temporaly.
Terevalis Unctio of House Mysti
The magic, the power of this Betrayer, the former cleric of Quenesti Pah who became a cleric of Chemosh, seems to either have outlived him or, or... No. Gods of Magic, preserve us. he says but begins to cast his next spell.
