Dragonlance: Heroes of a New Age

Game Master Shalafi2412

What came before...:

Six months have passed since the War of Souls, an epic conflict that spanned the world of Krynn. After 39 years when the Gods have been silent and magic flowed unrestrained by the Moons, the Gods of Krynn have returned. The first among the Light, Paladine walks the earth as a mortal, while the Dark Queen Takhisis lies dead, leaving their places vacant among the heavens. Ansalon still bears scars of the decades where evil reigned upon the world in the Godless times. The Dark Knights of Neraka still subjugate numerous lands and the wicked minotaurs have begun a campaign of conquest. Many among the righteous and good have suffered in the Age of Mortals. Solamina's forces are weakened by the war, the elves are in exile, the Kender lands burned to ash and the dwarves in ever conflict with their darker brethren. Decades ago, the Companions saved the world from the brink of ruin. Now once again, heroes must rise and bring balance back to the world. Will you be among them?

Anyhow you take the family back to the wagon and make sure to wrap up the young elven child to protect her against the whirling sand of the sandstorm. The elven refugees huddle in the back of the wagon, pulling their robes over themselves to best keep the sand out of their faces. While grateful for the help, they seem nervous to talk to Terevalis seeing clearly he wears black and has maybe heard tales of fallen elves in their community.

Seeing that they are hesitant to speak to him he will get a bit angry, the cool angry of a cultured man. Do not turn your face away from me members of House Servitor. What misconceptions did you have about we who wear the Black Robes? Did you think that we could destroy you when we saw you? Was it not for this elf who wears the Black Robes you might still be wandering in the desert and your daughter dead and progressing on the River of Souls. Or did you think that I would capture your minds and make you my playthings or even experiment on you and when you were dead raise you as an undead being?

"Nevermind him. He has anger issues. We are happy to escort you and glad your daughter is alright. I am Gabriel Knight of Solomnia. Did you loose your way out here? Where were you traveling from?"

Raging on the inside despite himself the elf will begin to brood Foolish elves and these idiot humans and the wilder elf. What do they know of sacrifice or loosing everything. Perhaps the depressed thief but their lives are less than spit. If the elves will not accept me even when doing good things for them, saving their lives. What does that cow twit of a cleric know of the elven ways? The hiefer thinks that she knows centuries of elven tradition and that it will begin to go away. Dark elf, one cast from the light and thrown out of a country that we no longer have. But perhaps she is onto something, beginning with the younger generations. Or even the present a plan begins to develop in his head. He smiles looking up at the Black Moon that he as a follower of Nuitari can see shining brightly in the sky. If they will not accept me then they shall serve me.

Later that night, when the excitement as gone down over the 4 elves he will awaken Amwar. Would you like to see some magic, the power of the Moons? What you see this evening, Amwar, you must not speak of. Come. he says giving him a small pouch of coins.

He leads the boy over to the wagon where the elven family is resting, the light of the fire guiding their path.

He reaches down to shake the father, Jaonos and speaking in Elven Forgive me for my passion Brother. I forget that the Traditions of our people are not slowly forgotten and that you have been taught to fear those who wear these color of Robes. We are anathema to the elven people, but in a way, are we not all Dark Elves? Elves without a home? Perhaps that is a discussion that those of House Royal and House Clerist may be having. However, I am not insensitive to the plight of my people. The people of the royal realm of Silvanost. The Qualanesti can crawl underneath the skirts of their half-human ruler and the Kagonesti can run in the forest rutting as animals in their barbaric fashion he sees the fear and the anger in the yes of Jaonos. [/b]

The elf continues This discussion however is not helping you or the need that your family is having right now does it. I would like to give you a small gift of steel that you can use as you see fit. It will help you in the days to come to feed your small family. Switching to common Amwar, give the coin pouch to Jaonos, please he says with a smile.

Handing the coin purse over to Jaonos Amwar then takes up his position behind the Shalafi.

Jaonos opens the pouch with caution. In elven the wizard will continue Do not be afraid Jaonos, I would not hurt you or your family. Even though I wear the Black Robes the people of Silvanesti, from youngest to oldest are precious to me. As the elf opens the pouch he sees in it are 2 platinum pieces and 20 stl. These will help you in the coming days to provide for your family. As the elf counts the money in disbelief and is distracted by the generosity of the elf the elf will focus on his connection to the Staff of Magius and with his bond will cast an extended Charm Person on Jaonos.

HighGod the DC is a 16 Will save not counting any bonuses that Nuitari is providing this evening for its position.

Now be begins to do evil things. BWHAA HAAA HAAA

Jaonos says to Terevalisis, "I appreciate all you have done Terevalis. I do not to be rude or ungrateful of you and those who travel with you. Any help you can provide is most appreciated. Perhaps the tales of the dark elves are not as accurate as we once believed although you must forgive my waryness as I was told that the Dark elves are no longer of the people of Eli."

When offered the purse by Amwar Jaonos takes it and looks at the money and gives a respectful nod. "this will help greatly in getting a place to stay in Ak-Khurman. I just hope I can find an occupation there so that I can earn coin to support my family. I was a skilled woodcrafter back in my homeland but wood is not in abundant supply in a nation such as this."

Jaonos says, "My house is House Woodshaper. I was but a humble craftsman in my home town. I was an artist who shaped wood into sculptures although I have done some some manual labour from time to time when demand for my trade was low. Now those of my house are forced to cut down lumber to open parts of forest for the minotaurs and provide them a supply of lumber."

A voice from Tiatha yells, "Jaonos! Liluth is awake. She's alive thank the gods."

Jaonos nods to her and turns back to Terevalis and says, "I must tend to my family now Terevalis. Whatever others might think of you, you have helped save our lives and have done a good thing for us. You have my thanks once again."

Jaonos goes to Tiatha, embraces her and then embraces the young child Liluth who has woken up although is still weak from her experience. Terevalis likey leaves Jaonos to tending to his family.

Also regarding discussion between involment Jor sighs "Anyway, they are travelling with us and elves, goblins, minotaurs, humans or what else, we helped them during the storm and you have to give in Terevalis, that without Alathea help there would be one elf less now, if you do not know healing magic?" regarding him with raised eyebrows

"Ah, anyway I am not mixing myself to this. Everyone is strange in their own way. Even my ancestor had one soft spot and that was not for his own race... which I admire even though not many could understand him." sighing again at the end as he tightens the hood around his head to keep that annoying sand out of his mouth and eyes

as far as I understood, yes it was in elven but thats why he made the remark of not understanding it. But when you answered back to Alethea and Gabriel, I suppose that should be in "solamnic"

I will say the charm worked Terevalis. He's not particularly resistant. As for the moon it currently is the 28th day of Aelmont so its in the waining crescent stage (Low Sanction). He definitely is much calmer around Terevalis but still will head off to tend to his daughter once she wakes up.

Anyway the next day the storm has lifted and you journey across the desert. It takes an extra two hours due to the slow progress but by about 2 PM you see the city of Ak-Khurman. Once again you approach the gates and meets with the Legionares who immediately can identify Gabriel the Just who has a great reputation having saved the lives of a patrol of legionnaires and quickly lets you enter the city.

Jaonos after passing through the gate says to , "Finally, we are here and all thanks to you great people. Where would you suggest we go in this city to find others of the elves and acquire shelter?"

Terevalis will recommend that the elven family attempt to make contact with Lord Summerhazel.

He will make two stops, the first to the Tower to report to Zoe what he has discovered, to ask for the use of the labs, to take Anwar to the study of magic, and to request a meeting with at least Dalamar, if not the Council of 3.

The second will be to the resident of Lord Summerhazel to see what he might need in terms of magic items.

The family gets the information and reference from Terevalis and heads off to meet with lord Summerhazel.

Terevalis then heads out to the Tower and enters seeing that the place is a lot cleaner and more organized than it was before. Cole answers the door when he knocks and lets him into the tower,

"Terevalis. Looks like you're still doing well. I've spent the past few days being an errand boy for Zoe and cleaning up this mess of a place. I feel less like a wizard and more like a menial labourer living here. I've yet to get even one wink of magical training from Zoe. Whose the person you brought with you here? Another apprentice?"

"It may be best if we meet tomorrow for breakfast. I may be detained for a debrief on what we have done. I will be joining Alathea though as my commander is stationed with the Legion. Any of you that wish to come along may."

He looks to Jaonos and his family and speaks to them in the elven tongue.

"I am happy we could escort you here. I will speak to the legion on your behalf and see if they need the skill of a wood craftsman. Take care of that girl. If you need anything ask the legion on my behalf. Sir Gabril Barca."

He raises a hand to the man and his family before walking off with Alathea and whom ever else wishes to join them.

Watching others happily getting on their things done and packing up, Jor waves his arm and takes off Uff, I need booze and woman. This company can be dry after a while as sighs escapes his lips.

Grunting from depression as he also remembers that he has to write report to his commander about recent situation and news he got a while ago. Then there was the need to meet with the local governor, since last time was so-so and anyway someone had to polish their way to them... They should have at least appointed two or three more of us here... but noo "Jor, you need to take care of this", "Jor, you are just a right person and think about it: nice booze, girls, a bit talking and that is everything. its like a vacation"... vacation for sure" complaining in his mind as he falls a bit in depression as he finally arrives at the inn, where they used to rest before leaving Ak-khurman.

Ordering a drink and sitting on the table, just dropping everything off on the booze as he watched outside at the people

The wizard will reply to the Cole. Discipline is needed in order to use the magic of high sorcery. That is done by menial labor. Please inform Mistress Zoe that I am here and there are many pressing things I must discuss with her.

Jaonos says to Gabriel in common, "I believe you have done enough for us sir knight. We would have never reached here without your help. I will find a way to help my family as I have always have. Be it as a wood craftsman or another trade, it is my duty to provide for my family. May the Gods watch over you friend."

Gabriel and Alathea head to the Legion Fortress and the guard at the gate says, "Welcome back Sir Barca and Legionnare Alathea. It is good to see that you are in good health. By all means you may enter the fortress. Legionnare Alathea, Centurian Rayhan asked to send you to see him when next you return. As for you Sir Barca."

He salutes, "You honor all of us for fighting alongside our soldiers against the Dark Knights. You have my thanks as well as that of the legion. Sir Lionel I am sure will want to contact you as soon as you are able. Good day to you sir."

With that Alathea and Gabriel go inside and into the courtyard, once again you see Centurion Zakwan dressed in his grey uniform and has a group of ten recruits lined up at attention. Zakwan has a stern scowl on his face.

Centurion Zakwan says to the group, "The traditions of Sorcery we practice in the legion are for the betterment of the citizens of Krynn. But as I learned some of you have been tempted by that red witch of Khurman Tor. The wizards may say that Sorcery is dangerous and there is some truth in that, as seen by the acts of the Dark Knights and the powers wielded by the Dragons. But what they do not tell you is that the Wizards of High Sorcery are responsible for many aristocracies against the people of Krynn. Sorcery is power for the people of Krynn, unrestrained from the Orders who want to steal our right to practice it. The Wizards do not care for the people like we do. They serve the capricious Moon Gods and not the ideals of the people. Fear not their threats of sanction for the Legion protects its own. Hold true to your oath and know that all we have is each other. I tell you this once my brothers and sisters, to swear to the Orders of High Sorcery is to forsake your oath to the Legion. Do not fall to their sway."

Meanwhile back in the tower, Terevalis goes to see Zoe in the laboratory who is currently enchanting what looks like a magical amulet.

Zoe says, "Ah greetings Terevalis and welcome back to the tower. Thank you again for bringing Cole to this tower. With his help I finally have another pair of hands around here. I will instruct him soon enough but for now I'm concentrating on a contract, as well as recruiting more to the fold. Unfortunately I have come to blows again with Centurion Zakwan of the Legion of Steel. With a bit of trickery I thought I was getting through to two of the Legionare Candidates to forsake Sorcery and become Wizards. Unfortunately Zakwan was vigilant and found out that I had weaved some suggestion magic on his students to edge them toward our way of thinking. Now things are even more stained it seems between myself and the Legion. Still the problem exists that every potential wizard candidate is being grabbed by the Legion of Steel and there is little I can do about the problem. But forgive me in mentioning my problems to you. How was your adventure Wizard Terevalis?"

I have brought a Khurish boy here, Mistress. He might have the gift, he says that he felt the power when the Moons returned. I believe that he is gifted and would like to sponsor his studies. However, Mistress, the other news that I have found out on my journey is something that I believe the Masters of the Orders, the Masters of the Conclave MUST be made aware of. I do not say this lightly Mistress but in all seriousness. Can you arrange such a meeting?

Zoe says, "You have quite a knack for finding candidates Terevalis. Well done."

Zoe nods to Amwar and says, "Greetings apprentice, I am Zoe Left-Hand, the Wizard of Khurman-Tor. I am glad to hear of your interest in studying the art of Wizardry and looking forward to helping you in growing your potential. You are welcome here just as Terevalis is as well."

Amwar says shyly, "Yes mam, I'm very interested in learning the proper way of magic."

Zoe nods to him approvingly and looks back to Terevalis and says.

"Yes, I have the means of contacting the tower of Wayreth. All the towers have a communication orb that links directly to the main tower. Combined with illusion magics I can create a realistic image of the speaker as well for a face to face conversation if that would be to your liking. Still the Masters of the Orders are quite busy with other affairs so I will have to check if they are available. How soon would you like an audience?"

Haste is necessary Mistress

She nods and says, "I can see your seriousness. Well so long as you are sure of its urgency I'll get right on it. Please come with me."

Zoe leads you through the tower and into a circular room with a crystal orb in the center and arcane sigils on the walls. She places her hands on the orb and encants some words. It glows and she seemingly converses mentally with someone on the other side. Afterwards she turns and says, "The conclave has agreed to address your concerns. They will convine in an hours time."

Assuming you wait an hour you are then ushered into the chamber. Spells are en-canted and the room shifts until Terevalis finds himself standing in the main hall of the Tower of Wayreth. He does understand though that what he is seeing is but an illusionary projection and is not actually in Wayreth but likewise the High Masters will see a projection of him on their end. Sitting on the chairs is the three masters of the orders, Dalamar the Black, Jenna the Red and Coryn the white.

First to address him is Jenna, "Greetings Wizard Terevalis. Congratulations to you for passing the test and becoming one with the Order of High Sorcery. My former student, Zoe Left-Hand has brought to our attention that you have something of importance to report directly to the council. Rarely would we grant a newly tested wizard such a swift audience but from communication with Zoe, we have learned you are an unique case. It seems you have been chosen by the Moons and have had audience with the three cousins themselves. Thus your word carries much merit here among this council."

Next to address him is Dalamar. He speaks in Silvanesti, "Terevalis Unctio. It appears Nuitari has chosen you as one of his own. Perhaps this means you have learned the folly that the Silvanesti have had in their iron-clad adherence to tradition and are more malleable to the ways of the world. Few among the Elves have seen the power of the Dark. You have many opportunities before you Wizard Terevalis. I hope for your sake you can claim what is rightfully yours to take."

He turns an eye to the staff and raises an eyebrow, as though he recognizes the staff Terevalis holds and see a glint of jellosy is seen on his face. "Especially bearing such a potent relic in your grasp."

Last to speak is Corin, "Terevalis, it is a pleasure to speak to you for the first time. Please by all means address your concerns to the Council and we shall take them into consideration."

The Black Robe bows before each of the Heads of the Orders, especially to Dalamar. Greetings Coryn Brinefolk, Mistress of the White. And to you Jenna of the Red, daughter of Justarius and Mistress of the Tower of Wayreth and Head of the Conclave, and to you, my Lord Dalamar the Dark, head of the Order of the Black Robes and of Silvanesti. I know that you are all occupied with rebuilding the Orders and now that I would be seen as a Dark Elf, I too have done my duty to bring new blood to the Orders, having found one former sorcerer and one Khurish boy to train in the Art. But that is not why I have asked for this meeting. Thank you for your giving it to me.

In my Test I was given to know by the Beloved Three Cousins that the Lord of Bones was attempting to ascent to the place once held by the Dragon Queen in the pantheon of the Dark. I can say that they are indeed in worry for a most sure reason.

Over 700 years ago a Temple to all of the gods in the Valley of Hurim in the land of the Khur was ransacked by ogres. They were betrayed by one of their own, a cleric of Mishakel who had turned to the worship of Chemosh. The clerics were slain and the temple ransaked and desecrated. However, the Betrayer himself was to betray his allies and he used his clerical magic to betray the beasts he had used for his own purposes. However Paladine heard the prayers of an acolyte and the acolyte slayed the Betrayer with a sword which seemed to be made out of Share of Light. The valley was forgotten for the remainder of the Age of Might and as Istar fell into the Age of Despair. It was only recently that it was rediscovered by a group of the Mikku people.

It was to this valley that my companions and I traveled. The power of the Lord of Bones still held sway in the valley and his contellation which has disappered from the night sky shown brightly in the area. We fought through spirits and other creatures in the Temple until we came upon this he brings out the wrapped dagger a potent artifact that was used to kill the Revered Son of Paladine. We took the shard of light from the body of the Betrayer that was present still. However the mask of Chemosh that is worn by all in the cult disappeared, it was teleported away, where I do not know and was unable to discern. However, this does not appear to be a good thing. Chemosh has a powerful ally that can cause much damage and bring much woe not only to the Orders who are slowly rebuilding but to the followers of the other Gods It is for this reason that I address you my lord and ladies of the Conclave, to bring this to your attention that the Conclave will be both forwarned.

The Highmasters listen to Terevalis's words. First to answer is Dalamar, "This is concerning but not all unexpected. It is the nature of the Gods of Darkness to disrupt the balance. The Dark Queen being foremost example. With the death of the Dark Queen there is certainly many among the Dark Gods who would covet the position as king of the pantheon. Another powerful agent of Lord of Bones in the world does seem to be a potential threat to some but is not an immediate concern. Unless this agent of Chemosh acts in some way that endangers arcane magic, it is not the place of the Orders of High Sorcery to interfere in the affairs of the Gods."

Jenna nods in agreement and says, "Indeed you are correct Dalamar, if Chemosh does not tread on the domain of arcane magic we have little recourse to respond. If imbalance is caused by this agent, then there will be those who will oppose him as well and balance shall be maintained."

Corin says, "Should we not bear watch on this potential threat? Much destruction could be wrought by such an agent of death."

Jenna says, "Corin you are new to this council and serve your order well. But you must understand that our motivations are to protecting arcane magic, not to interfere en mass in the events on the world. I must agree with Dalamar's assessment. We cannot take an united front until it is shown that Chemosh has overstepped his bounds and interfered with arcane magic. Our first concern is to seeing the restoration of the Orders of High Sorcery throughout the world."

She looks back to Terevalis, "Your concerns have been noted Wizard Terevalis and I appreciate your candor. For now, continue as you were and keep watch on how this situation unfolds. What you chose to do with this agent of Chemosh is your own choice. If indeed this agent of Chemosh does tread on our domain, let the council know so we can respond accordingly. I wish you well in your studies Wizard Terevalis."

I thank you My Lord and Ladies. I felt that the matter be brought before you so that you are aware of events in the world. If I might beg just a few moments of my Lords time. he requests.

Gabriel addresses the guard.

"I did as any man with a command should do. I protected those under my command. I'm sure you would have done the same." He smiles and places a hand on the guards shoulder as the walk by.

Hearing the speech he leans in to speak to Alathea.

"Good thing the elf wasn't here to hear all that. Be safe Alathea I go to me Sir Lionel. I will meet back with you later."

I think Athola was coming with me as she is still carrying the blade and I wanted to present it

He will speak to the Master of the Black Robes in Silvanesti My Lord, perhaps it might be worthwhile for a cabal of Black Robes to claim the Temple of Hurim for our Order. Not many know that the Temple is now open again and it would not take much for the magic of the Black Robes to hide the entrance. THere we might be able to grow in power outside of the watchful eyes of the Red and the White Robes. It might be to our benefit to do so.

He continues My Lord Dalamar, your servant asks for the ability to join the renegade hunters. Though I also wish to become a spellbroker the tide must be brought back in order for High Sorcery to become ascendent again. As head of the Order I know that you can give me permission to join this Order. I am prudent enough not to start a war with sorcery but those who have turned away from High Sorcery even as former members of the Orders must be brought into line.

Dalamar says in response to Terevalis. "Our numbers are too few to consider claiming any new bastions, especially if the site that Chemosh has claimed as one of his unholy sites. Perhaps when our numbers are greater such a proposal can be considered but for now it would be prudent to leave such a place undisturbed. It is more advantageous to create bastions in more populated areas where we can better gather and train new recruits as well as perform services that will ingratiate ourselves with the populace."

Dalamar to the question of Renegade hunters says, "The renegade hunters were disbanded after the chaos war Terevalis. Right now there are so few Wizards that not many renegades remain. A good deal of the old wizards perished during the fifth age from various causes. What is a concern now is Sorcery and its unrestrained use in the world. The thorn knights wield it freely and still consider the Orders their enemy and we the same. As for the Legion of Steel they learned their techniques from the Dark knight defectors so their magic is also of a dubious nature. Unfortunately the normal anti-wizard techniques are antiquated and not effective at opposing wild sorcery. Perhaps with some research we may discover new ways to battle them but for now we do not have the manpower to oppose them. Do you believe you could evolve the techniques of Renegade Hunting Terevalis?"

I do my Lord.

Alathea nods to Gabriel and Athola as she sets out for Centurian Rayhan's office.

"My the blessings of Zivilyn be upon you Centurian Rayhan. I have returned from my quest and met with significant success. Before I give you my report I have a concern.

I heard Centurion Zakwan stating that the Order of High Sorcery attempted to recruit some of our men to their brand of arcane magic. The wizard I travel with has shown no love for sorcery or its practitioners, is there not some way that our leadership and the Orders Wizards can meet to resolve these issues? I sense a war brewing which will not be to the benefit of any of us, especially with the doing of the Lord of Bones stirring".

Alathea goes to the office of Centurion Rayhan. He says, "Greetings legionnaire Alathea. It is good to see you arrived back here safely. Blessing of the Gods to you as well. Ah yes, an incident happened that once again has caused the butting of heads between Zakwan and the Red Wizard of Khuraman-Tor and to a greater extension the wizards of High Sorcerery. Zakwan reported to me that two of his students were influenced by Enchantment and Illusion magic, which he suspects has been cast by the Red Wizard herself. They were one step away from leaving the Legion. I will not tolerate the Wizards using magic to steal the free will of our people with magical charms. If they want peace then the Wizards should know well to let the Legion practice their art without harassment. Besides, if we are to allow Wizards into out ranks, how can we be sure they won't spy on us from within as well as poach off our unique arcane techniques?"

Dalamar nods approvingly and says, "Then Terevalis I see no reason why you cannot be the first Renegade Hunter of this new age. What say the rest of the Conclave?"

Corin says, "Sooner or later the renegade hunters will be needed, although I did not think one would request such a role so soon. I would be less accepting of such a proposal considering that I am a former Sorceress myself but I have communed with Solinari and it his wishes that the Sorcerers should convert to Wizardry for it is a dangerous and unrestrained power in the wrong hands. Still this must be done with a tempered hand lest we invoke the wrath of those we are trying to save. If Dalamar believes this is the correct course then I shall not object to the proposal. What is your opinion Jenna."

Jenna says, "The veiled maiden is not so opposed to Sorcery as the other two cousins. She sees potential to develop new arcane wonders through the wild sorcery. But indeed it would be better for them to convert to the Conclave rather than use their power without any oversight. In the end, Terevalis is of your order Dalamar and thus what he does is on your approval. I am somewhat intrigued to see how efficient this Wizard can be at evolving the old techniques. I give my permission to this course of action."

Dalamar nods to his colleagues and looks to Terevalis, "Then it is agreed. Terevalis, I name you first Renegade Hunter of the Orders of High Sorcery. You will be provided with a tome from our library that will teach you some of the techniques of the Renegade Hunters. Protect it well for such secrets should not fall into the hands of our enemies. As Nuitari says, "Magic is power, keep it secret, keep it safe".

Alathea shakes her head in agreement, "I agree that using such magic to entice our people is improper and borders on criminal. I also agree that the Legion can ill afford to allow Guild Wizards in our ranks as their loyalties are always to the Tower first, so it seems.

What I advocate is a dialogue with them so that these incidents cease. Recruitment from those non-affiliated should be the agreement and free will should be respected whatever the recruit chooses Sorcery or Wizardry. Do you believe there is any way to accomplish this?

We have our hands full enough with Dark Knights and Minotaurs as it is".

After his response I will get into our adventure in the Ruins.

He bows in respect and deference to the Heads of the Orders. When he brings his head down, unseen by the Wizards a smiles.
I thank you my Ladies and Lord for your trust. I will be as silent as the moon and as deadly as the necromancy I study but as subtle as the enchantment of the Devouring Darkness. I will also to look for potential recruits and I intend to begin the study of the Spellbrokers, as you yourself, Mistress of the Conclave, are a part of that tradition, to bring back what was lost in the magical items leeched of their magic. I thank you for your time.

When the 3 are gone he will talk to Zoe about using the labs and the libraries as well as providing for the Anwerp's education.

When he gets the chance he will go to Lord Summerhazel.

Centurion Rayhan thinks and says, "You make a good suggestion Legionnaire Alathea. I am a reasonable man and if the conflict with the Wizards can be resolved diplomatically, I would be an advocate of it. If we could have a meeting with the representative of the Wizards perhaps we could put this conflict to an end before it comes to blows."

Centurion Rayhan sighs and says, "The problem is that Centurion Zakwan has an ancestral grudge against the Orders of High Sorcery. As the head of the Legion Sorcerers of Khur he must be involved in the negotiation process. Without his signature on any agreement it will not be binding to the Sorcerers unless the Keeper or the High Elder overrides him. Secondly I have my doubts that an invitation for negotiations from myself will be accepted by the Red Wizard. However, perhaps you Alathea with your wizard contact can convince the Wizards to take part in a peace conference. Would you be willing to aid the Legion in doing so?"

Anyway to speed things along Terevalis gets approval to have Anwar as an apprentice and thanked for his services to the orders. He is wished well in his studies and the communication ends.

Zoe meets with Terevalis and approves to letting him use her laboratory as the laws of the Conclave allow wizards to share tower resources and Khurman-Tor is a sanctioned wizard's tower. Anwar of course is ready to learn what Terevalis is willing to teach.

As for the tome in a short while it is teleported to the Tower. Terevalis receives a tome that was penned by Lemorras the Grim a famous Renegade Hunter that became the Highmage of the black robes back in 1828 PC. Contained within are techniques to combat Renegades and draw on the power of the moons for advantages over them. Still it will take study and practice to master these abilities.

As a house rule I will say you get full spellcasting abilities and levels with the prestige class and you can count the Prestige class levels as wizard levels for purposes of how you advance your wizard school abilities.
