Kreig had been content to restrain his commentary while the more charismatic of the party worked out the details. But then Ground speaks of him again...and then produces another of the tear drop stones.

Something to help fight Gorge? What'll this doodad do ta me? Don't cotton ta this razzle-dazzle mess. Kreig looks to the others who seem to be waiting on him to respond. Ya'll got yer doodads, got yer specials, but what's tha price? In my line o' work...there's always a price, ain't nuthin' fer free...

Fighting his instincts to turn down the gift, Kreig steps forward and tries to put on his normal bravado. "Well, thanks fer thinkin' o' me, Master Ground...this dwarf will use tha gift ya givin' ta put a hurt on Gorge. " With that he takes the stone.

Responding to Misha, "Me keep fish people from other water creature. That only help can give. When water creatures gone mines begin to dry. Take long time. Me help dwarves who mine."

With an inscrutable look on it's face, it replies to Kreig, "Good. You kill Gorge."

@Kreig:

Game mechanic properties of the Copper Tear;
1) +2 insight bonus to Dexterity
2) +2 insight bonus to saves versus Evocation spells.
You just have to carry it in a non-other dimensional container (ie. NOT bag of holding or portable hole or magical haversack)

The tear-shaped drop is pure copper, and is worth 10,000 gold pieces. It does not detect as magical, however you are sure that it has some special properties.

When you pick it up, you have a vision that last only moments;

You see a small circular courtyard, with ancient stone walls to the left and right and two wide passages leading into the darkness. Eight standing stones flank the courtyard. The standing stone have some carvings, and these are surprisingly pristine and well preserved. Somehow you know that the carvings on each standing stone are Athan solar signs and arcane symbols referring to a single hour of the day; these are respectively predawn, dawn, morning, afternoon, evening, stars, moon and deep night.

He opens his eyes and eventually finds Misha looking his way. He nods without words, his face clear. Yeah, I gotta vision too... "Sharin' time later..." he mutters aloud.

Kreig feels things slowing down in his mind as the vision fades. He cracks his knuckles and feels a tingling in his finger tips...the same he feels when it's time to test his skills against a heavy lock. The dwarf feels faster, sharper. He deftly stashes the teardrop into or of his pouches and is pleased to note the feeling doesn't stop. Guess there's some good in it, eh?

Misha doesn't have much in the way of buffing save for herself--an unusual bard, but archeologists don't lend themselves well to that. She can cast invisibility on someone. She will cast alter self to get the Str bonus. Let's say to an orc or half-orc, for darkvision as well, just in case.

Borris will step up to where the creature stops, and yes the water is up to everyone's knees. The water creature will slam whoever is in front of it, most likely Borris since he is probably the only one that will move up to it this early in the initiative, so those of you after it's turn can post what they are going to do.

Edit: Carol (wife) and I are going to a Tanglewood concert that will be all afternoon and evening tomorrow, so do not expect a post till Saturday.

Kreig, hoping that his bow will do some damage to the huge elemental in front of him, shoots it with an arrow, however even though he hits the flat footed creature, the wound just closes behind itself, ending up doing no damage, and his precision damage does not seem to affect it either. Borris moves to be next to the creature and smacks it hard, however not doing quite as much damage as he though his earthbreaker would do. Misha yells at the creature, but only does a small amount of damage as the creature avoids the brunt of her attack, and not seeing a path to flank the creature, moves up just a bit, staying out of reach.

The water elemental, enraged at being challenged, swings twice at Borris, connecting for significant damage.

Therena casts a spell, and her deities weapon appears and fires at the elemental, just hitting it and damaging the creature. Rikar moves up next to the creature, trying to avoid the incoming attack, however the water hampers his movement and the elemental hits him hard. Rikar returns the hit, and hurts the elemental, while Latys, hating the water but obeying his friends command moves in but misses. Josef, longbow in hand, shoots an arrow and misses.

Kreig shoots another arrow at the creature, and although most of the wound closes back up, he does do some damage to the elemental. Kreig also looks around and the cave seems solid, and he can not think of an easy way to force the elemental out of the water. Borris, still hurting from the two slams, attacks with his earthbreaker and klar, but both miss, and he uses his lay on hands to cure some of his wounds. Misha steps up to just behind Borris and attempts to cast a spell, but being careful to not get slammed herself, she flubs the spell.

The elemental swings at Borris twice again, but only connects with one of its slams.

Therena's spiritual weapon damages the elemental a bit, as she casts enlarge on Borris. Rikar and Latys, both hating the water, swing and claw at the elemental but miss. Josef stashes his bow, and then casts bull strength on himself.
