SECTION SEVEN: In Armageddon's Shadow
The city of Celwynvian hides a terrible sin. For countless centuries the elves of the Mierani Forest have barred outsiders from the fabled City of Emerald Rains, in a desperate attempt to contain an ancient shame. The Drow.
In the battle to retake the ancient city, the heroes join in the final assault on the Drow Headquarters...

Zephram nods to himself, "Yes, it would have been better to attack.", then drinks his extract of fly, taking a moment to watch the three drow, studying the one on the left... Yes... He seems to follow the same basic combat style as his brethren. I believe I'm getting used to these dark elves...

One of her picks was in her hands as the others started sprinting for the tower. As she ran, she began the WarChant, coming so easily to her now. A fleeting thought brought up when she first learned it, her naïveté so obvious now, thinking that she was never going to really use it. Now, she found herself muttering it in her sleep, finding it on the edge of her lips when she was not thinking about it. She was focused on getting out of the line of sight of the top, and kicking the closed door of the entryway in.

Activating his wand Zane vanishes from sight before dashing after Cynara.

Cynara, Nakoda and Zane run to the gap and stumble through it into the ground floor of the tower.
The bodies of a dozen drow lie heaped on the floor here, as well as three elf rangers. A testimony to the amount of damage the desperate fighting has managed to do so far. It looks to you as if their equipment has been stripped already.

Three drow scouts move rapidly down the stairway, firing their hand crossbows at you.

Red 6: Fires at Nakoda.

Outside, you see a dark shroud envelope the top of the tower, making it very difficult to see to target unless you have darkvision.

Zephram smiles as the friendly breeze around him pushes the dart off course. He then leaps into the air, his mutated muscles and tendons giving it an unnatural look, then uses the magic of the extract to bring the dark-elf he'd studied into the reach of his blade.

Grinning at the pricks from their small weapons, Nakoda moved towards the stairs to engage the drow, continuing the Warchant as one of the tattoos over her eyes granted her its magic. The sharpness in the clarity of things was almost distracting if she was not so focused. She could see where her next attack was going to land, all she had to do was choose to attack. As Cynara moved to engage the first one, Nakoda was moving purposefully to strike the first drow that she encountered.

    A grin of appreciation was given to Cynara, continuing the chant as she hastened her pace up the stairs that they were on, since the bottom floor was clear. At this point, pain amused her, and she paid it little heed, not having encountered pain significant enough to make her stop. The pick was whirled to clear some of the drow blood off, wondering what she would encounter on the upper floor.

    Zephram, now quite sure he's mastered the drow's combat pattern leans in, trying to draw his opponent out of position before quickly driving his rapier into this foe.
    Zephram’s feint drew the drow’s eyes away for just the moment needed to slide his blade through his enemies heart. Blood fountaining from his chest, the Drow fell silently off the tower.

    Cynara_______
    Cynara advances up the stairs, and then when she has the majority of the party in range channels to heal, excluding the drow captain.

    Enjoying the fighting that was going on, Nakoda saw what Cynara was doing and took a step to further place the drow between them, swinging her pick in an upward angle to pierce his torso. As her swing is successful, she sings even louder, reveling in the joy of combat.
