I've realized I need to be better about distributing my extracts, I've been bad about that. I figure Tessa gets CLW or CMW, and an Enlarge Person extract is significantly safer than Tessa casting. It's up to everyone what they'd like, I have four 1st levels and 2 2nd levels, they're like a potion except they're free, use my caster level, and you take it out and drink it as a standard action.

Enlarge Person would be great for Abigail. For 2nd level spells, that's trickier. Do you have access to defensive buffs? Otherwise, I would not say no, though I would not impose either, to Bull's Strength. However, there might be better uses for those, and Arma can make good use of them too.

Human Alchemist (Vivisectionist) 5 | HP 38/38 | AC 19 T 14 FF 15 | F+6 R+9 W+1; +2 vs Poison | Init +4 | Per +7 | CMD 20

Unfortunately I only have Resist Elements which is situational, but in 1st level I have Shield, that's usually a personal range spell but extracts are weird. I wish I had Bull's Strength but neither Tessa nor I have it.

It's a DC 20 Diplomacy check, so if Tessa is able to assist, Rayland might stick around.

Whoo book 1 complete!

As for requisitions, we don't have a lot of cash but we have quite a bit of gear. If there's any spells Tessa has her heart set on, scrolls are an option, and our wizard expanding her repertoire is only a good thing.

Nice! Many thanks, DM Brainiac! You have a great way of telling and moving forward the story.

Appreciated. This game has been a bit slow-going but hopefully we can pick up the pace a little moving forward.

AC 16, T 11, FF 15 hp 42/42 Fort +5 Ref +2, Will +6 Female human (Varisian) cleric (stoic caregiver) of Gozreh 5 LN humanoid (human) Init +1; Senses Perception +4

Do we trade out what we've found for what we want or is there some kind of stipend that we get from the Bountiful Venture Company for supplies and gear?

There's no stipend, unfortunately. You'll have to purchase gear with the treasure you have found.

Human Alchemist (Vivisectionist) 5 | HP 38/38 | AC 19 T 14 FF 15 | F+6 R+9 W+1; +2 vs Poison | Init +4 | Per +7 | CMD 20

Relia does make a good point about a wand, though, using party funds for a Wand of Cure Light Wounds is probably a good idea.

Agreed!

Please note that I'm going on a short trip for four days, with very little Internet access. Please bot me as needed.

Human Alchemist (Vivisectionist) 5 | HP 38/38 | AC 19 T 14 FF 15 | F+6 R+9 W+1; +2 vs Poison | Init +4 | Per +7 | CMD 20

btw I'm blaming you if I can't get the image of Karzoug twerking out of my head. I keep giggling.

Runelords would do anything for another shot at fame. #Hasbeen

Hey so. Looking at the map now, is Ancorato a volcanic island?

There is one dormant volcano at the island's center.

Human Alchemist (Vivisectionist) 5 | HP 38/38 | AC 19 T 14 FF 15 | F+6 R+9 W+1; +2 vs Poison | Init +4 | Per +7 | CMD 20

So this is kinda unexpected. Because claws are bludgeoning and slashing damage, and sneak attack deals the same kind of damage as the original attack, if I'm using my feral mutagen underwater, I'll deal better average damage with bite/claw/claw but only if I'm not doing sneak attacks; if I am doing sneak attacks, I'll do more damage with dagger/dagger/bite, even though the bite is treated as a secondary attack.

So I was mostly just joking around with Abigail being incomprehensible. I think we may actually be able to speak and be understood at least if we have water breathing seeing as Tessa and Relia can still provide verbal components for spells.

Yeah, that's the rule. If you can breathe underwater, you can talk normally. I'm just playing along ;)

Web would be DC 17, forgot to put it in my post, sorry.

Please note that I’ll be on the road quite a bit for the next month. Please bot me as needed.

I will be away from Nov 10-14. I won’t have access to the boards. Please bot me as necessary.

Just a reminder that I'm still travelling for the next three weeks, with unreliable access to Internet, so please bot me as needed.

I'm really glad that Web worked so well- this would have been a lot harder than it already is if we had all of them coming after us the whole time.

I'll be out of town from Friday afternoon through Tuesday night. Wi-fi access might be spotty, so I might not be able to post much until I return.

Human Alchemist (Vivisectionist) 5 | HP 38/38 | AC 19 T 14 FF 15 | F+6 R+9 W+1; +2 vs Poison | Init +4 | Per +7 | CMD 20

The semester from hell is finally over. So anyways, the cloak of the manta ray may actually be precisely what Abigail needs, you can still use manufactured weapons. Which incidentally the mental image of a manta ray but with human arms is hilarious. Obviously not great that it uses the shoulders slot, but for the moment it's pretty good.

So, you would like to follow the map inland?

Yes!

AC 16, T 11, FF 15 hp 42/42 Fort +5 Ref +2, Will +6 Female human (Varisian) cleric (stoic caregiver) of Gozreh 5 LN humanoid (human) Init +1; Senses Perception +4

1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

I'd be more upset about that but I've rolled max on every level up until now.

Feat: Quick Draw
Another 1st and 2nd level extract, and my new formula is Bull's Strength. Anybody want to take an extract, Tessa has a CLW and Abigail has Enlarge Person, switch it out if you like, Relia you want one?

Should we take them on or run? My worry is the rowing. If they move faster than the boat, we’ll be sitting ducks.

Their fly speed is 50 feet, so they definitely will move faster than you can row away.

Still need Relia's actions for the round.

AC 16, T 11, FF 15 hp 42/42 Fort +5 Ref +2, Will +6 Female human (Varisian) cleric (stoic caregiver) of Gozreh 5 LN humanoid (human) Init +1; Senses Perception +4

Sorry for the slow posting. I've had the week from heck. Everything is fine. I've just been busy at work and busy with personal life. Usually one is busy and the other isn't so bad, and I can keep up. Not this week.

After Sunday it should get better.

AC 16, T 11, FF 15 hp 42/42 Fort +5 Ref +2, Will +6 Female human (Varisian) cleric (stoic caregiver) of Gozreh 5 LN humanoid (human) Init +1; Senses Perception +4

Should we try to attack the ooze, and hope it doesn't drop down and attack us? We can try to move past with the fog cloud, and maybe keep it from getting a good look at us as we head through.

I'm fine with either plan. Oh. I really don't like this hag.

I like that Fog Cloud plan a lot!

Please note that I'm travelling until about Tuesday, with very little and unreliable access to Internet. Please bot me as needed.

You know I keep on forgetting that I really need to take better damn notes for the games I'm in, but this and Kingmaker especially. I was just trying to check Vriskirsa's name...

I will be on a cruise next week from 4/1-4/6 without Internet access. It will likely take me till the following Monday or Tuesday to get caught up and resume posting.

Please note I'll be away June 1 to June 9, with very limited time to contribute to the game. Bot me as needed.

Question for the GM: does Sacred Geometry count as a metamagic feat for prerequisites? I figure it probably doesn't, but I may as well check.

No, it doesn't count as a metamagic feat.
