Ta'de-win of the Gale |
Ta'de-win sets the battle off after getting into position with a shot with her sling at the nearest of the bandits. And the pack shall descend upon their prey.
attack 1d20 ⇒ 7 I took into account a -2 for range target is L7
damage 1d4 ⇒ 3
Ta'de-win of the Gale |
attack 1d20 ⇒ 18
damage 1d4 ⇒ 4
Furiel |
Furiel enlarged before the battle--during the battle he was hoping to fight. The enlarging of Alice and then Green was the sign for the battle to start. I was hoping the sling would fire when Green grew to his giant size. As a full round action enlarge won't work in a surprise round.
DM Bloodgargler |
OK but two full rounds is a long signal to fight. I'll meet you halfway we'll just say first .. you didn't delay. You cast on Alice before surprise round, Ta'de-win shot and missed. You started cast on Green. Surprise round starts with Ta'de-win firing successfully, you finish cast on Green on your turn of surprise round. Act normally on your turn round 1 top of initiative.
Furiel |
More than fair--it is hard to perfectly coordinate attacks--especially on the paintball field :-). Green and Alice gets to be big, hopefully this becomes effective--melee attacks upgrade with reach 1d6-->1d8 and 1d12-->3d6 and can check the enlarge spoiler earlier.
Bregor Rowain |
The Green Man will on his turn begin to move towards the bandits by the campfire.
That's a move to W20.
Just in case you get done with a lot while I sleep, In Round one The Green Man will cast Shield of Faith and move to T16, and on Round two he will move towards the closest foe at the time, charging if possible.
Alice Morell |
Perception and Stealh Rolls.
Stealth 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13 (Modified for being large)
Perception 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
Alice will move as far as she can up the right side map perimeter for her action on surprise round (Assuming that this is the surprise round. I saw some others move and attack..so if possible I'll double move).
z-17 or y-11 (if double move) I guess? I assume that little box is just extra area next to the map?
DM Bloodgargler |
The head of the bandit farthest west at the campfire, snaps forward as the sling bullet hits him.
Large Alice moves into striking distance..
Rogar lets an arrow fly .. it strikes with enough force to knock the unsuspecting bandit over..
Norton charges on Murak jump check DC151d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16
Murak launches over the overturned logs blocking their path.
Green, now enlarged as well, moves in behind .. casting a protective spell on himself.

"Drop your weapons now and surrender, you are surrounded!" he shouts hoping to end that fight before it really starts and pin down the bandits without killing them.
DM Bloodgargler |
A small ball of fire appears in Furiel's hand which he hurls toward the bandits at the campfire, it falls to the ground among them..
Ta'de-win moves forward and fires another shot that misses..
Alice charges in toward the structure, now seeing it as a 20' high platform with tents and bedrolls underneath. The two bandits underneath startle out of bed, scrambling to prepare themselves for battle with the massive monk towering over them.
Rogar fires another shot at the barely visible bandit on top of the tower but the arrow flies wide.
Murak finishes her charge, Norton thrusts his blade into the bandit and Murak bites his wrist useless as the bandit tries to go for his sword. The bandit (N-7) screams horribly as Norton delivers his call to surrender.

"Fight! Fight! Real fight! Juice up and Gimme some light now!" a woman's voice hollers from underneath the platform. You hear a couple softer voices, and torchlight appears from on top of the platform revealing two bandits.. and a second platform now visible from the south, with at least one bandits visible.
The torch flies end over end from the center platform and lands on the ground near Green. "Ho no .. shoot SHOOT!"
One of the bandits fires a swivel-mounted heavy crossbow from the top of the platform. The bolt sticks deep in Green's chest, severely wounding him.
The female bandit buckling up underneath the platform kicks the other unprepared bandit, pants still around his ankles, toward Alice before reaching down for the rest of her gear.
Another torch flies through the air .. this time from the south platform that lands about 15' south and west of Alice.
The bandit (O-6) that had fallen from Rogar's first arrow, hurriedly pushes it through, grabs and gulps a nearby vial.
The bandit with a gash in the back of his skull compliments of Ta'de-win, reaches into a satchel on his side, with the hand not trying to stop the bloodloss, and removes a vial as well ..
DM Bloodgargler |
Furiel |
"Those bandits on the platform shot Green. I'll try to stop that crossbow."
Furiel moves to T18 and conjures another ball of flame using his affinity for gnome magic and sends it to the crossbowman on the platform. Hoping a near miss ignites something near those bandits.
1d20 - 2 ⇒ (5) - 2 = 32d6 + 4 ⇒ (3, 1) + 4 = 8
Link to a strange song Furiel heard in a tavern once that is going through his mind.
Unfortunately Furiel is not accurate with his balls of fire today.
Ta'de-win of the Gale |
Ta'de-win steps into range and unleashes a Storm Burst upon the female bandit.

from your position:

J14 (no cover) and L15(-4 in melee) are on ground level.
L14 (partial cover) and M13(no cover) are on platform
L28 (no cover) and L29(partial cover) are on south platform
The bandits on the platform in the middle include a gnome on a box firing the crossbow(L-14) and a human-sized bandit assisting him. (M-13)
Rogar Valertis |

"Move! Move! Move! I'll take care of those on the southern platform! Furiel help Green!!"
Bregor Rowain |
So acting once before the bandits again? Easy choice then.
The Green Man spits out a mouthful of blood and curses silently.
Large person equals large target, no surprise there. Typical that they would pick on the half orc as well really.
Touching a hand to himself, The Green Man calls on the powers of nature to heal his wounds.
Cure light wounds: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
He then begins to limp towards the battle to assist Alice.
Move to P16.

The bandit kicked at Alice tries to quickly pull up his pants and backpedal .. there is a sound like arrows hitting fruit as Alice strikes into him.

Reactions
The bandit near the campfire who had scrambled to the logs, finishes rummaging through the gear stowed there. He stands with one vial in his hand and two more tucked in the crook of his other arm. With a startling *Whap!* a crossbow bolt catches him in the throat .. he tries - arms moving in slow motion but vials not .. a gout of flame envelopes the area around his feet as he falls.
Kressle, still confident, focuses on the wound delivered to Ta'de-win, judging her next strike when she is blasted again .. her cocksure demeanor starts to slip .. leaving just primal rage.
The gnome crossbowman was starting to grow a bit concerned .. his "boy" (as he called him) was no longer next to him to load the blasted crossbow. ... No his "boy" was just swatted like a fly by a 12 foot tall green orc and was now hanging, coincidentally, by a broken limb on a broken limb of the tree .. While contemplating that and lining up his next shot, "up jumped the devil" big girl with claws reaches up and slashes at his shins .. nearly making him 4 inches shorter ..
The crossbowman at the south platform grins at Rogar's double take when the crocodile appears. He admires the creature for second as Rogar fires a quick shot directly at him that catches him square in the chest. He leans on the crossbow mount for support ..
Murak knowing the source of a man's threat bites at his throwing arm as he reaches for another dagger. She gets hold of his elbow, crunches, and snaps him down, sprawling him on the bench ..
Kressle grips her hatchets tightly ready to strike when Norton rides up. He swings just wide of her but his threat hits home .. "I WILL NOT FAIL!!" she screams, soaked from Ta'de-win's bursts..
Kressle |
Bandits Round 3 Actions
The uninjured bandit at the south, drops off the platform onto the wagon below .. the crocodile disappears as he starts casting again. The other one hobbles over to the edge of the platform and reaches into his satchel.
The gnome at the crossbow (center platform) yells "I'm out! I'm out! ..Kressle I'm out!" and throws up his hands ..
Kressle angrily hurls her right hand hatchet at Norton 1d20 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (19) + 4 - 2 = 21 Damage1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6 the hatchet flies straight at his face .. he moves to block it and it ends up catching him in the shoulder. She reaches in her belt pouch with her now free hand..

As Green rumbles past him, the surrendering gnome calls out to Kressle "We're beaten Kressle .. Let it go .. " He walks to the edge of the raised platform with his arms up .. "Don't worry, my brudder's the funny one. Here I come! Catch!" to Alice below him.
The injured crossbowman on the south platform tries to ease himself down onto the cart while his nearby ally was casting. He turns to climb down but catches a bolt in the side .. falling with a thump into the wagon. His caster gnome N28 friend tries to continue casting his spell .. summoning a mount has never seemed to take so long .. When the angry looking guy with a dueling sword charged right into the forming mists of his summons he knew .. "Hoi .. pleased to meet you. Names Rillo .. who do I have the pleasure of meeting?"
Kressle feels another foe approaching from the rear as she is reaching in her satchel .. she risks a glance and sees a wall of Green and Alice just barely dodging Alice's strike. Ta'de-win's errant blast causes her to strafe every so slightly to the right ..
.. Murak takes this opportunity to bite down hard on Kressle's right forearm. Norton need only wait for Murak to jerk Kressle off her feet to thrust into her belly .. painful wound, and if left untreated definitely fatal .. eventually. Kressle falls on her back unconscious.
It appears all are dead, unconscious or have surrendered.
