Serra the Blessed
Round 1
Serra catches Flame and Hymn coming down and moves towards them. She watches Flame attempt to attack the giant only to have his blow deflected by the creature. Thinking for a moment, she calls out to Flame and Hymn, "How many giants are there, and which direction?"
The response she receives is more than a little bit troubling. A half-dozen giants and a dozen gnolls, plus a couple of other giants of another type. This is not a good situation, we need to slow the gnolls and other giants down.
"Flame! It looks like there's no holding back on this fight. I'm going to try to and block the other giants and gnolls from getting to us. Hopefully I can buy us enough time so we won't get overwhelmed."
Not hesitating at all, she jabs her greatsword into the ground and draws her dagger, holding it out in front of her as she prepares to cast. As she begins reciting the spell, she draws the dagger across her palm causing blood to run from it. She winces for a moment, but continues on with the incantation. "ไฟไหม้ภายในลมโดยไม่ต้อง. และเถ้าถ่านเถ้ากินในน้ำวนที่เคยเผาไหม้!"
As she finishes the incantation, the blood dripping from her hands begins to fall like embers from a dying fire from her hand, and smoke issues forth from the wound. A gust of wind blows outward from her briefly, and then the air noticeably changes. The wind, first cool becomes hot and dry. Dust and small debris begins kicking up from the ground and ash from Serra's wound seems to compound it. The entire region becomes hazy with smoke tinged red from the glow of the burning embers travelling with it. Near Serra, a stark boundary appears, the eye of the inferno she has summoned. The temperature continues to rise and the smoke soon blocks all vision as Serra focuses on the spell.
As she finishes the incantation, she collapses to one knee breathing heavily from the exertion. The glow in her eyes dims and the halo above her head flickers weakly. Surrounding the group is an ominous wall of embers and ash, hiding all beyond it from sight.
Pyroclasm (SLA): 50 min. duration, Radius 200', 40' tall, Save: None, SR, None. The region from 40' to 200' out from Serra is considered difficult terrain and creatures within it cannot see, even with darkvision. Those in this region suffer 1d6 lethal damage from heat every minute, and 1d4 non-lethal every 5 min. (DC 16 Fort negates non-lethal). The dashed red circle represents the boundary of the 'eye' or safe area. Everything else on the map up to 40' high is covered by the spell. Difficult Terrain plus blinded means that creatures move at 1/4 their speed or risk falling down (DC 10 Acrobatics).
Also, I assume the spell will finish as the group finishes there moves, there should be time for everyone (including Aref and Xenia) to get within the eye.
GM Wolf: Given the spell is really powerful I'm going to consider Serra fatigued for now. You can decide the duration of the fatigue when you get a chance.

Round 1
Unsure of who these strange newcomers are, but not wanting to give these giants any chance to get the upper hand, Xenia charges at the giant already engaged by several of the newcomers hoping to land a solid blow into the evil creature.
Attack-charge: 1d20 + 11 + 2 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 11 + 2 + 2 + 2 = 19 <-- +2 Invisible, +2 Flanking (or Gang Up if Hymn attacks), +2 Charge
Damage: 1d6 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12 <-- +1 Weapon Training, +3 Str, +5 Swashbuckler Precise Strike
Hopefully someone has a buff to get me another +2.
Hymn
Hymn hoovers slightly to the side of Flame. Moving diagonally 5 up and over. "We need to finish these quickly beast as quickly as we can... I've been hit by a giant before. It hurts a bit." Hymn says with a bit of a smile.
"Death to you!!!" Hymn says while violently smashing his shield into the face of the giant on his flight up.
Shield Bash(spiked shield):1d20 + 9 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 9 + 1 + 2 = 26(Hit)
Damage:1d6 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
With a quick maneuver Hymn uses his flying ability to almost spin in a circle. Taking two swings with one pass, apparently a bit wide with each them.
First Swing(Sword):1d20 + 9 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 9 + 1 + 2 = 15(Miss)
Second Swing(Sword):1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 4 + 2 = 13(miss)
Perception:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15
While he's up taking a quick glance at the battle field he notices the newcomer. In common to Xenia, Hymn says "I'm assuming a foe of a foe is a friend... Seems like we have a common enemy. I am Hymn, well met."
Looking quickly back at Serra.
We have at least a handful of those giants, be careful back there. It also seems like we have company from the camp helping us. Be watchful we do not know what they are like.
Donovan Dyne
Donovan hurtles through the air, his mind alight with the insanity and strange delight of it all. Just before he hits the ground, the spell takes over and he alights as softly as a dove. Then he turns to face their foe - and snarls.
"Hill giants. Like ogres, only worse." An image flashes through Donovan's mind, of all the innocent people of Ironfast, so many of them dead at the hands of raiders just like these.
"Abadar take you all!" he shouts, and fills himself with the power of his god, calling up on the Highest of Judges to decide the punishment of every creature in his sight.
I'm opening big! Using Donovan's Abadar's Wrath Ability: Highest Level Cure/Harm spell upon every creature he can see (which I'll leave up to Wolf). Cure/Inflict Serious Wounds, 3d8 + 5. Rolling once for damage/ heal, or Wolf you can roll individually, whichever way you think it should go.
Abadar's Wrath: 3d8 + 5 ⇒ (3, 8, 7) + 5 = 23

Hymn, are the next two attacks for round 2? Please put a tradectory if you are planning to fly horizontally.
Round 1
Donovan Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13 Donovan your ability to make it easy will hurt those who are chaotic and heal those that are lawful, though your allies are either all exempt from the ability or affected your choice. Applied damage to obvious enemies in sight and those caught in range not classified as allies yet.
Xenia you take 23 damage and feel guilt for any wrong you have done in your past as if you are being judged, the weight of those transgressions weigh down on you with force, You take 23 damage.
AoO on Flame: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (19) + 14 = 33 damage: 2d8 + 10 ⇒ (6, 2) + 10 = 18
The greatclub comes smashing down after you basically slam onto the giant. It roars as the club comes down leaving a dent in the armor and the crush behind the dent leaves blood slowly seeping out.
Each of you can see the one without the Axe pulls out a boulder from nowhere that is as big as him and throws it at the ship. It seems to speed up as if with magic and slams into the haul of the ship.
The other one seems to disappear.
Serra, you are fatigued for 1d6 x 10 minutes.
Most of the giants were able to see or hear where there was no cinder and enemies to smash. To much dirt and cinder in their eyes they seem to be able to hit most of you but the clubs are off enough to do no real damage.
A on Flame: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (4) + 14 = 18 damage: 2d8 + 10 ⇒ (8, 3) + 10 = 21
A on Flame: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (2) + 14 = 16 damage: 2d8 + 10 ⇒ (6, 8) + 10 = 24
A on Hymn: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (3) + 14 = 17 damage: 2d8 + 10 ⇒ (1, 4) + 10 = 15
A on Xenia: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (2) + 14 = 16 damage: 2d8 + 10 ⇒ (3, 6) + 10 = 19

There is a braking sound as the hull is Impackted.
Sky Captain Swift,
Drive Air ship, 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (8) + 12 = 20 to keep the Air-Boat steady
Then as a Giant comes into being infront of her on the flight deck. She smiles an evil Smile
"HOLD!".
She calls out to the crew, then pulls the wheel left and up, Rolling the Air-Boat 90 degrees port and up.

She the rights the ship and they get ready to shoot again.

Round 2
Heroes Go!
Oh! That might just make it fall off.
The giant in full plate armor, which looks far more regal than most giants falls off the side as the boat simply is not longer below it. The giant tumbles down towards the ground.
__________________
A halfling which looks built with massive muscles, could almost be seen as a dwarf, with fiery orange hair runs through the eye of the storm wielding a fiery sword nearly three times his height.
The storm has picked up enough speed now so that no one can see more than 10 feet into the wind and cinders. The gnolls, other giants, and black things cannot be seen.
Bearik
Round 2
"Begone foul things!" The elderly man shouts out with a voice like thunder and three arcs of lighting arc out into the storm, swirl around with the wind and come in smashing into three of the hill giants. Sparks of electricity shoots off and hits those adjacent to them.
Purple: 3d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 2) = 9, Pink: 3d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 3) = 12, Yellow: 3d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 3) = 9, Blue: 1d6 ⇒ 2, Green: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 5) = 6
GM Wolf
A strange event happens, all magic effects seem to double in potency. The ball of lightning around the human wizard grows in size and volume of electricitcal arcs. The storm winds pick up even stronger as those in the eye can see the occasional burning gnoll body be flung within the winds. The winds disperse the smoke left by the sacred flames, though a flame continues to burn even with the wind tearing at the environment.
The winds pick up in relation to the storm. It will begin to be troublesome to fly in this weather. That point is articulated as storm clouds move in almost unnaturally and lightning begins to strike. The eye of the storm is the only safe place from the winds.
A man of metal leaves the tower even in this weather. He runs towards where the two other giants were originally. This would not normally be able to be seen but glowing orbs of light were affixed to his armor and by the light you can see the progress.

Pyroclasm (50 min)
Condition(Fatigued): (1d6 ⇒ 2x10=20 min) -2 str/dex, no charge/run
Smite Evil (Pink Giant): +5 hit, +2 dam
Still on one knee Serra focuses and takes a deep breath. No time to rest now, need to push myself. If we don't finish these giants fast, things will get bloody. Putting her weight against her greatsword, she stands and eyes the situation.
Ragathiel, my lord, give me strength and guide my blade that I may deliver justice to these foes. She lifts her blade up and aims it at the Pink giant, calling out: "You shall fall before my blade fiend, Ragathiel's judgement is upon you!" When she finishes, she grabs her sword with both hands and moves quickly towards the Pink giant. Knowing the giant will likely get a swing in before she reaches him, she does her best to anticipate the attack and move out of the way. When she reaches the Pink giant, she brings her sword down hard, cutting through his flesh and crunching bone as she does, her blow surprisingly strong despite her prior over-exertion.
Swft Act.: Smite Evil (Pink Giant); Full Rnd. Act.: Close + Attack Pink Giant (Power Attack)
Attack Pink (Hit/Dam): 1d20 + 9 + 5 + 1 - 2 - 1 ⇒ (10) + 9 + 5 + 1 - 2 - 1 = 222d6 + 12 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (1, 4) + 12 + 2 - 1 = 18

Keeya looks around and the storm comings in unnaturally fast, the air boat was heading up, she calls out.
"Magic storm!! winch out the Lightning deflectors, 1st mate! take her to altitude, get above this storm, your to disengage until I call you back. I'm going down to see how they are doing."
As the 1st mate comes over to the wheel she hands the controls to him.
Then unhooking she runs and leaps over the side of the Air-Boat, Her wind-skin raps and flaps around her body, the Wind-Skin is Ayraa her Eidolon. The storm is nothing to her, may would find it hard but she is a thing of wind now, Keeya-Ayraa. Her arms by her side head 1st, below she sees the galling giant.
Ayraa's voice comes to her mind :Keeya let us ride that giant down to the ground, stop him from making more mischief.:
:If you think it wise Ayraa, let us use the winds:
She pushes down to it in streamlined free-fall.
Just wanted to say the Sky-Boat keeps going up, so from now is out of the fight, Then what Keeya is doing next few rounds

Why am I affected by Abadar's Wrath? Although I did not intend it that way, where I was standing should have been out of a 20' radius spell, which is what the red circle appears to be indicating if it is centered on the lower left corner of the square with the little fire, which is where it appears to be centered. In addition, what exactly is Abadar's Wrath? I see the description in the OOC, but nothing under Donovan's character sheet so it is difficult to see who this would affect, and how big it is.
Also, would I get a save versus the damage? I assume this is Inflict Serious Wounds.
Round 2
Despite being confused as to what fell magic just affected her, Xenia continues to dodge about and jab at the vile giant.
Attack-rapier: 1d20 + 11 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 11 + 2 = 31 <-- +2 flanking(via Gang Up)
Damage: 1d6 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10
Seeing the strike land, albeit without much effect, Xenia throws back her head and laughs at the creature. Try to hit me fool. Your too ugly and slow to hit a rock, let alone me.
Confirm Crit: 1d20 + 11 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 11 + 2 = 14 <-- damn
DM Wolf - I will use Opportune Parry and Riposte this round. Allows me to parry an attack and then counter for the cost of 1 Panache point. Full description is under my Swashbuckler spoiler on my character sheet. I am announcing this ahead of time since it costs a panache point and must be announced after the enemy announces an attack, but before the attack is rolled (something difficult to do in pbp).
Donovan Dyne
Current HP: 44
Current AC: 17, T10, FF17
Abilities Used: Abadar's Wrath (1/1)
Sorry, Xenia. I haven't updated Donovan's profile with all the new stuff yet, will do that after this post. The ability he used is one of the new special ability we got: it affects every creature he can see with either an Inflict or Cure spell. If I've interpreted Wolf correctly, normally you would have been excluded from the damage, but Donovan couldn't see you well enough?
I think getting a save makes sense. You can chastise Donovan for this after the battle! ;)
Donovan shouts to the wizard. "Why do these creatures trouble you?" As he speaks, he strides towards the nearest giant, lifting his hand and lashing out with more of the divine power at his command.
Now using the Reward and Punishment ability, 1/3. Ranged touch attack on the Yellow giant to do an Inflict Serious Wounds
Ranged Touch: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
Inflict Serious: 3d8 + 5 ⇒ (1, 7, 5) + 5 = 18
Hm. Is the ability use still spent if it doesn't hit?
Hymn
@Gm I have a bab of +6, so it's one extra attack at +1 and two - weapon fighting/improved shield bash(extra attack with shield plus still keep ac bonus.)
Donovan I would Imagine it would be. Most spells are same way
Phone post :-/
Round 2
Hymn will shift above Flame (5ft north). Making a wild swing with his sword at the hill giant(green). Cutting across the Giants face then bringing his shield around for a final blow. With a miss Hymn swing out again with his third blow going far wide.
Longsword: 1d20 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 9 + 1 = 27=hit
1d8 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Shield bash: 1d20 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 9 + 1 = 18=miss
Second longsword attack: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 4 + 1 = 9=miss
GM Wolf
Round 2
AoO on Serra: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (10) + 14 = 24, damage: 2d8 + 10 ⇒ (8, 7) + 10 = 25
Then Serra slices into the flesh of the giant before her. It moans in pain and roars at her in anger. The giant in blue furs seems to be taking the blunt of it from the group as the lithe female, Xenia, stabs into the creature making it fall to its death as its life blood stains the ground and pours forth from its many wounds. A black bolt of energy crackles to life in Donovan's hand, which is easily identified as an inflict spell then he throws it and fells the yellow giant. Hymn's attack lays the greenish brute to the ground as well. Three giants down in one round, perhaps the others will flee.
Both flee taking full withdraws to avoid attacks as they go into the cinder storm.
As Keeya follows after the giant, it disappears in another flash, likely the same ability that brought it to the ship.
Good to know Flame, don't worry about the damage from the attack then.
Presently the ability that Donovan had done affects all creatures within sight. The abilities that target an alignment will need to be assigned a Will save to the targets. Xenia since you are chaotic and not classified as an ally yet, you are subject to the spell. The red circle was Flame's Sacred Fire and the smoke remnants of it.
Perhaps Abadar's Wrath should be all within 100 feet of the caster, healing lawful individuals and harming chaotic, Will DC 10+(1/2 HD)+ Cha or Int modifier. Then again the damage will be not much in the grand scheme of things, so no save.
Excellent Xenia good to know about where to find the information about Opportune Parry and Riposte. You are lucky I have worked with a swashbuckler before! Yes, we will work together on making the ability work. I will allow you to keep the point since there is no adjacent enemies.
Donovan, yes if you use the ability it is used, even if you don't hit the target.
Hymn that makes sense, just checking because it seemed like you were also flying, as if twice in your post. Its alright I get it now.

Serra watches as the giant draws back and then turns, fleeing into the storm. Looking at her arm, she examines the wound he left her with. Rushing head first into a giant might not be the best idea, she thought to herself. The sleeve of her robe was torn open right where it met her breastplate's shoulder guard and blood ran down it in a steady stream.
Placing her hand on the wound, she focused on channeling some of her innate healing ability into it. Still exhausted from her earlier efforts, however, the healing seemed to do little to staunch the flow. Magic it is then. Grabbing hold of the small medallion about her neck, she invoked Ragathiel's name, calling for the power to heal her wound. The magic seemed to work better, closing the wound some and leaving her in passable shape.
"Flame, Hymn, I'm going into the storm to hunt them." she said as she grabbed hold of her sword and began moving towards the wall of ash. Looking through the boundary, she searches for the giant she'd hit, hoping to catch him off guard.
Cloak of Ash allows me to see unhindered through smoke/ash, although still limited in range by my clouded vision curse (30')
GM Wolf
You see the halfling charge up and slam his sword cleanly through the leg of the purple giant, making it fall in gorey detail as blood flushed from the wound. The earth seems to come up and consume the other giant as the lithe humanoid in armor walks up near to the halfling.

Round 3
"It appears the those that fled are dead or gone, and many of the gnolls are dead as well. I'm guessing that's the end of them, although I can't see far enough to see if the runed giants you described are still around," Serra replied.
She propped herself up with her blade and closed her eyes for a moment, breathing heavily as the adrenaline rush of combat ended. Summoning that storm is almost more than I can handle. It looks so simple in the visions though, but then I'm no ancient dragon, she thought as she rested on the hilt of the greatsword.
"I'd dispel the storm so the rest of you could see, but to be entirely honest, I don't know how to yet, or if it's even possible," she added without looking up.

Round 3
Actions: Double move
"We're not done yet," Donovan warns as he hustles to join the other. He gestures into the distance where gnolls and other creatures remain.
Unless they are running too?
Serra the Blessed
I'm assuming they're almost all dead. Everything outside the dashed red circle is an ash storm, which counts as difficult terrain and is visibility is 0 ft unless you have some sort of ability that allows sight through smoke. Serra is able to see through it, but her curse prevents her from ever seeing further than 30 ft. The fact that several Gnolls are dead likely means that most of them are dead, and the two giants who fled into the storm are both dead as well.

"Flame, Serra? Should we chase? I would rather not have giants angry and following our path to our destination." Looking over his shoulder after he fired several arrows.
(If penalty modifiers feel free to change results for shooting thru ash, if it's still up)

Keeya I will allow it for now, but understand that is a pretty big recon.
The ship gets buffeted by the winds of the firestorm below and the winds from the environment. Another mass of clouds have come together above, lightning striking down from those angry black clouds.
Hymn shoots where he thinks the giants will be not for sure if he hits them due to the storm.
No one but Serra can see more than 5 feet into the storm without a perception DC 20.
The fiery blaze of the storm seems to just get stronger.
A giant emerges from the storm and charges the lightning surrounded man. The giant lands its great club upon the man, blood gushing from his shoulder which looks mangled from the blow, all of the electricity slams into the giant frying him dead into a black husk.

"GET THE SHIP AWAY FROM HERE, YOUR ACTING CAPTIN, GO BACK TO THE FLEET AND TELL MY FARTHER I GOT TO THE MEETING PLACE, HE WILL UNDERSTAND"
She has to shout to be hard.
There was no time to go below and pack, they where now exselirating away from the meeting place. She would have to make do with what she was carrying, just a few things and her air gun. She leaned into his ear.
"Good luck captin, don't worry this is the place I was ment to be dropped off at, tell my father, if he can spear one, to send me a air-skiff"
Then she patted him on the back, ran and lept off the side of the air boat.

Zanthias, Lord of Lightning
He moves forward and looks for the person with a bow out. He disregards most comments until he is 10 feet from the flying man. In an angry tone he continues, "Oi! I think this arrow belongs to you! What ya goin ta do about it?"
Xenia Fabrenth
|
Ah, damn.
Xenia quickly moves over to the old man who everyone else seems to be ignoring.
From her pouch she takes out a small flask with a pale blue liquid in it which she pours down the man's throat.
Use potion of CLW - 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Hymn
Hymn floats gently down to the ground before the Halfling. In a very calm and collected voice Hymn says, "That arrow belongs in the giant I shot it at. My aim was true, I'm sorry if it got you instead. I have no quarrel with you, it seems we had the same foes. If I have cause you dishonor by hitting you with the arrow, I am sorry. My name is Hymn. If you still wish to do something, you will find me a harder battle then those giants we fought."
Hymn turns his back to halfing without care and says, "This will wait a moment."
Walking back to Xenia and Old man, "Your camp seemed to be in trouble, we decided that we would try to help. That is all."(if sense motive you can see he's being honest)
Hymn pulls out his wand of cure light wounds and cast it on old man.
1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Serra the Blessed
Round 4
"Don't mind Hymn, he's a bit rough, but his aims are noble." she says looking up at the halfling with a disarming smile.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (9) + 13 = 22
"If you wish, I can help with the arrow. It'll need to be pulled though. Would you prefer to do so yourself?" she asks politely. "I'm Serra, by the way." she adds with a surprisingly graceful bow despite her obvious fatigue.
Donovan Dyne
Round 4
At Xenia's words Donovan's ears perk up. Did Abadar find reason to punish you as well? If you're one of those who I must work with, perhaps I should ask for intercession...
He said nothing right away, though.
"I can tend the injured," he announces as he moves back towards the collapsed old man. "You do not need to use your own resources."
Flame Demonspawn
Are we still in rounds or are we now out of combat?
Flame approaches the old man, cancels his life link with Hymn, and establishes a new life link with the old man for 18 seconds.
First round: Life Link transfers 5 HP from Flame to the old man. Flame channels positive energy for 1d6 ⇒ 5 points of healing, excluding the fallen giants using Selective Channeling.
Second round: Life Link transfers 5 HP from Flame to the old man. Flame channels positive energy for 1d6 ⇒ 6 points of healing, excluding the fallen giants using Selective Channeling.
Third round: Life Link transfers 5 HP from Flame to the old man. Flame channels positive energy for 1d6 ⇒ 1 points of healing, excluding the fallen giants using Selective Channeling. Flame then cancels his Life Link.
"I hope that helps. If you need more healing, feel free to ask me or Donovan. As for why we came to help, I can only say that I have a bit of a problem with hill giants who cause trouble, and these ones seemed to be being a problem."
All told, Flame will have lost 4 HP, the old man will have gained 27 HP, and other hurt creatures nearby will have gained 12 HP (except for the giants who Flame excluded with Selective Channeling.

Sky Captain Keeya Swift
Round 5 or none
Keeya falls down throw the storm, it buffets and pulls her, but she is a thing of the air, she lets it riding the maelstrom down. Her gift lets her see deeper into the storm than most can see.
Stopping the group below she makes her way to them, slowing and hovering next to Sara. Keeya seems to have a second skin made of the very air itself. Its mover and shifts around her. She seems completely at home in the storm and winds.
"Its good to see your well now who are our new friends?"
Oddly her voice seems to carry on the very wind itself.
Sky Captain Keeya Swift
She stays hovering just above the ground looking over at Xenia.
"I'm sky Captain Keeya Swift and this is fine gent of fire is Hymn he works for my father. The mystic here is lady Serra and fine man over there is Flame, a hero of many wars. Well nice to meet you Xenia"
She looks around and spots the metal man.
"That metal man over there seems to want us to go down a whole, should we. She we, it may be easer to talk?"
Zanthias, Lord of Lightning
The halfling sees logic in the man's, Hymn's, words but gets more angry when he disregards him and turns his back to him.
Luckily Serra says a few soothing words and he lets the disrespect go. "Greetings Serra, you can call me Baris or Zan. If you have the healing touch I would prefer you or one such trained to take care of the arrow. Thank you."
Out of combat
"That is a silent one, but it is one with the earth and a warrior waiting for Captain Vortani to meet us here, just like myself." The little one explains waiting for the procedure to happen, holding tight to his blade with one hand and the other on a red woolen cap on his belt.
