Garduk turns to the group of freed prisoners, gesturing in the general direction of the museum entrance.

"You are all free to try to leave if you wish, or to wait until we have finished our job and leave with us. The museum exit is that way, through the great hall, but I don't know whether going out that way will take you back to the real world or not. If you want to leave with us, I suggest you stay together, here, until we're done. Also, if you have any idea where we might find the two sisters who were brought here tonight, that might shoes up our departure."

The freed slaves huddle by the door, they all seem to be afraid to run for safety and instead watch you as you enter the next room. The doors not trapped so you open it to find a simple room of unadorned stone piled from floor to ceiling with boxes and crates, with barely enough room left to allow the staff to squeeze between the towers of dusty, mothballed exhibits. A fierce looking shadow hound is tied to a long chain secured to the center of the eastern wall.

The hound immediately begins to bark, a disturbing wail as soon as you open the door.

Brayne watches his allies unable to make an impact on the beast and decides to do something about it. His eyes turn a deep black and his body undergoes a transformation. He grows into a slightly larger monstrous form of himself. His fingernails grow into long claws, and his frontal fangs extend larger and sharper.

His voice takes a rough demonic tone "You not only shadow monster. Grr." And he lashes out at the shadow dog.

A little fortunate, misfortune bolsters Bokkah and she claws the hound with her first attack, missing with the others. Kulga misses with her attacks and moves away. Brayne transforms and claws the hound with malice. The slaves not so hardy all race out the door.

The hound looks badly damaged from the claws, but is still looking to make a viscous attack. But it seems the chain only reaches to the door and he merely pulls against the chain, trying to bite to no avail.

Garduk briefly considers using a spell on the creature, but his friends are too close for him to use Color Spray safely, and if it can't get past the doorway then there does not seem much benefit in casting Grease.

Garduk's bolt drives between the hounds eyes, it collapses in a heap. A quick search of his kennel room finds nothing useful on the shadow plane.

Moving across the hall you notice all the slaves have fled through the front doors. This door has a material plane sign reading “Treasures of Distant Goka,” while a shadowy sign occupying the same space reads in dark, block letters “Cold Storage—Perishable Specimens Only.” Nothing can be heard behind the door.

What kind of perishable specimens do they keep at a museum? Even a shadow museum?

Garduk doesn't like any of the answers he comes up with. He pops out his wand of Shield, casts it on himself, replaces it in his wrist sheath, and reloads his crossbow.

But if there is anything in there that isn't a terrified prisoner from Absalom, I am going burn out its eyeballs first and ask questions later.

She walks over to the door once everyone has finished their preparations and opens it.

Kulga opens the door and finds dozens of mannequins dominate this room, each decorated in the trappings of distant Tian Xia. Ceremonial armor of samurai from Minkai and the silk gowns of courtly ladies catch the eye, but the delicate tea sets in long glass display cases seems out of place next to the strange shadowy figures leaning against the fan-decorated walls. Humanoid bodies encased in ice stand scattered throughout the room, and a glaze of dark rime covers the floor. As Kulga steps in she can tell it's slick.

How far from the entrance are those shadowy figures? Because as soon as Garduk can zap them without risking knocking out Kulga (or stunning or blinding her), he's going to Color Spray the heck out of them.

Angling the cone away from Bokkah and Kulga, Garduk is agitated enough that shouts the words of arcane power and throws a handful of colored sand at the ice cobra as if it were a weapon. A blast of scintillating colors erupts from his hand.

Color Spray, burning a point of arcane reservoir to increase the DC to 16. Can't five-step on the ice, so he will trust Mage Armor and Shield to protect him from the AoO.

5 foot step in this room, ruling:

Normally you can't acrobatics to do a 5' step on difficult terrain, however the scenario doesn't call this difficult terrain, but rather presents hazard rules for moving in the room. Since it's a grey area (thanks season 2), I'll allow a successful acrobatics to 5' step. Just wanted to clarify for future reference.

Whipped into a fervor, Bokkah attacks the icy snake, she manages to hit it with her second claw, but the claw chips away a smaller chunk of ice than expected. Garduk summons a heavenly hound, but it misses its attack on the cobra. Kulga misses with her shield, but delivers a blow with his axe, again not doing the damage she thought it should. Brayne flies into a rage...

Brayne - you can either make a move to move and get one attack or attempt a acrobatics to 5 foot and full round your choice.

Too risky to acrobatics for me. I'll move and take one step, and just bite at it. I forgot power attack in my last rolls. So new roll coming up. I understand I lose misfortune on raging so I will use it on Kulga's shield prior to rage.

Brayne is a flurry of activity and soon shatters the icy cobra.

Threat downed, you examine the frozen human forms in Wightir House’s cold storage room, and find a grisly display of partially dissected humanoids and half-completed biological experiments from the Material Plane. Each specimen is frozen in several inches of hard ice. Many have a rictus of pain and fear solidified on their cold, blue faces, and all
of them have an identical black rune branded onto their foreheads.

Searching around the room you realize among the Tian relics are some items that are in usable condition; a suit of masterwork parade armor in the samurai style, an orc double axe with blades shaped like strange dragons’ heads, and a masterwork composite shortbow used by the mounted archers of the eastern steppes. Detecting magic around the room also finds a wand that hangs on a hook on the wall.
