Luke Falgren |

Round 1
Luke will use normal movement to work his way along the cliffside in order to stealthily position himself 10 feet above the beast in preparation for a flanking attack.
Black Dow: Based on the map and my calculations, I should be able to accomplish this in two rounds, ready to attack in the third without the acrobatics check. Please place me accordingly on the map after movement. I am making two stealth checks to cover this movement.
Stealth - Round 1 Movement: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (13) + 16 = 29
Stealth - Round 2 Movement: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (10) + 16 = 26

Round 1
Gorruk grins in delight as he watches both the foolhardy Northman and his giant pet climb towards him, eager to line his stomach further.
Perception check: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11
Seemingly oblivious to Luke's flanking climb, the Iss Trow beckons Ragnar and Muli to climb faster, the brutes muscles quivering and twitching in frenzied anticipation...
Know what Ragnar, Muli and Luke are up to for the first two rounds... Kevkul and Skølrykk are up. Won't post Gorruk's Round 2 actions until I've idea what you two are up to... Likewise I'll post the map ahead of Round 3... Good to be back :)

Black Dow: DM O' The North |

@Ragnar: Yeah he is realised that when I looked back over the postings... apologies still jetlagged lol.
Retrofit the above;
The Iss Trow leers as he turns the winch easily with one arm, while the rusted hook weapon held in his other menacingly gouges the frozen ground...
Trow will crank up Ragnar in 2 rounds - If Skølrykk is jumping aboard the trow might find it more difficult (and slower) but he'd have his hands full... (Acrobatics check if your going for it Skølrykk)
@Kevkul: No that'll work... like it...
The dwarven priest's enchanted feet easily find footholds and like an armoured mountain goat Kevkul deftly springs up the icy cliff face, finding himself atop and with the trow as company...
Will fire up a map tomorrow gents

Black Dow: DM O' The North |

As the snow falls ever thicker, the wind whips to a howling gale and no words save those immediate to you can be heard. Speech now limited to being heard by those immediately adjacent to the character or creature. A DC 25 Perception check required to hear any shouts or commands at a further distance.
Skølrykk makes a running leap and lands on the rising platform. His extra weight causes the trow to grunt and the platform’s progress halts...
The giant Pine-Muli’s claws hook into the icy wall and with bestial nimbleness the transformed alchemist easily joins Kevkul at the cliff’s edge.
Luke takes full advantage of both the conditions and the onset of his companions mass climbing expedition and skirts around behind the trow unnoticed. He creeps directly behind Gorruk and finds himself on a rocky outcrop some 10 feet above the troll...
Kevkul’s uncanny impression of a hasted mountain goat takes Gorruk somewhat by surprise as, like Luke, the dwarf priest appears atop at larger ridge some 10 feet above the clearly angered trow.
Gorruk responds by locking the winch and leering down at its Northmen passengers. He bellows something to them, but the brutes words are drowned in the wind;
Marad ott kicsi Északi hal. ÉN fog visszatér érted mindkettő után ÉN ünnep -ra -a furcsa barátok! = Stay there little Northern fish. I shall return for you both after I feast on your strange friends!
The trow then hefts his blood rusted hook and gives a wide crimson grin before looking first towards the audacious dweorg priest, then the strange giant mearÞ man... mearÞ = marten
Ragnar and Skølrykk are hanging some 15 feet from the top of the icy clifftop. Everyone else is as described. Initiative Order revisited:
Luke 22
Muli & Ragnar 16
Gorruk 14
Skølrykk 8
Kevkul 6

Ragnar Sköld Född |

Round 3: Raging 1/9 rounds, 29/31 HP
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
Seeing the trow turn away from them and towards his companions raises Ragnar's hackles. Welling from his Northern loins is a white rage at being ignored and the thought of seeing his friends killed as he stood impotent and idle on the platform. Guttural growl growing in the pit of his stomach, then exploding from his mouth Ragnar gives in to his inner strength.
Sheathing alfur smarta Ragnar moves to the chain that suspends the platform from the winch system. Gripping the chain between his fists Ragnar attempts to haul himself and Skølrykk hand over hand to the top of the cliff. As his cold-bred muscles grow taut he grunts with each surge made to eke them ever closer.

Black Dow: DM O' The North |

Ragnar’s mighty sinews bulge and he hauls himself and his fellow Northman ever upwards until finally the Vikingr find themselves level with the waiting Gorruk...
Luke’s shot catches the wind and it flutters wayward past the trow...
Gorruk Perception DC 30: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16
... yet the brute fails to notice, seemingly focussed far more on those foes who have scaled the ice wall.
Gorruk is still unaware of Luke behind him
With a crimson chuckle the bulky trow mutters in its grinding tongue;”Ra újabb megfontolások ÉN akarat mászik legyőz és kiváló -a fagyasztott tök később kicsi Északi hal!” before ferociously chopping its heavy hook deep into the winch.
The impact tears shears through the winch post, causing it to buckle and splinter. The chain drops the dangling Northmen a foot or so, and as they feel the rent timber begin to fail...
Wrenching his wicked hook loose, Gorruk roars, showering the snow nearby in red flecked spittle as the cold wind howls ever louder.
1 round before the winch post snaps - Ragnar & Skølrykk can swing onto the cliff edge; DC 12 Acrobatics to land successfully (if you move through L10 the DC is 23 to avoid an AoO).
Gorruk MW Ogre Hook : 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27
Damage: 2d8 + 6 ⇒ (3, 7) + 6 = 16
Ra újabb megfontolások ÉN akarat mászik legyőz és kiváló -a fagyasztott tök később kicsi Északi hal! = On second thoughts I will climb down and crack your frozen marrow later little Northern fish!
Muli still to go, Skølrykk & Kevkul also up

Luke Falgren |

Black Dow: DM O' The North |

Aye your currently on a ridge 10 feet above the trow. Climbing down is pretty easy for Luke; DC 15 Climb check. Even if you fail Gorruk may not even notice him! Will take 1 round, so Round 5 onwards he'll be ready to rumble...
Put Luke up there just incase you wanted a leaping charge attack on the troll :)

Muli Dyren |

Round 3
The wind being what it is, Muli steps up and tries to slam a stuffed rodent against Gorruk, knowing the risk of explosion.
Bomb slam (-1 size, +1 str)-> 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
Bomb fire damage (dc 15 ref for 1/2) -> 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Potential 4 splash damage against Muli if that hit.
Reflex save dc 15 (+2 Dex Mutagen) 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 5 + 2 = 26
Muli will take 2 points if that hit. Should avoid aoo, as he if armed with claws, but it is unorthodox so I can understand taking one for the maneuver.

Kevkul Steelhide |

Kevkul steps carefully in the lush snow before striking out with his blunt hammer, fully intending to knee cap the giant.
Kevkul gets a +4AC bonus against giants, to factor in, plus he'll activate the adoration ability if ever the troww finds him interesting enough to attack.

warhammer bash: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15

Round 4: HP: 22/22, AC 15 (Charge), Jumping Charge
Luke Drops his bow over the edge of the elevation that he is currently on, then leaps into the air with a ferocious scream whil hefting his greataxe overhead for a downward chop as he charges into a flanking position to J12 from higher ground!
ARRRRRGH!
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16
Greataxe ATT: 1d20 + 3 + 2 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 3 + 2 + 2 + 1 = 9
Greataxe DAM: 1d12 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Epic Fail!

Black Dow: DM O' The North |

Gorruk DC 15 Ref Save: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22
Gorruk treats the oncoming threat of the jotunn sized man-marten with disdain, presuming its hide would more than cope with Muli’s paltry claws. At the last second the canny trow scents the nature of the volatile rodent and partially sidesteps the transformed alchemist just as he unleashes a fiery detonation!
Muli’s critterbomb explodes with a squeak showering himself and the trow in alchemical sparks that painfully sear Gorruk’s hide despite his evasion.
Above the trow Kevkul’s hammer strike, while meaty enough, fails to connect, clanging off Gorruk’s flailing hook – granting the brute an impromptu (and fortuitous) parry.
At the cliff Skølrykk lands with a grunt, hands digging into snow, ice and scrub as he grasps the edge with the strength of his ancestors...Then from behind a leaping Luke lands, taking the trow by surprise. He aims a mighty swing at the beast’s thews... ... but arrives empty handed as his greataxe remains lodged in the icy ground.
Gorruk smiles maliciously as the wardens attack comes to naught, then the trows beady eyes narrow as it weighs up its next move...
Luke's been disarmed by the ninja tundra. Ragnar & Muli up next, then we find out whose trow chow ;E

Ragnar Sköld Född |

Round 4: 2/9 Rage Rounds used, 29/31 HP
Acrobatics: 1d20 - 7 ⇒ (12) - 7 = 5
Ragnar senses the platform starting to give way beneath him and makes a desperate lunge for safe ground. However the bulk of his armor and shield foul his attempt and he is unable to swing to safety. His arms scrabble at the cliff face as the platform drops, trying to find purchase...

Black Dow: DM O' The North |

As the trow’s hide starts to cool in the frigid wind, Muli opens up two huge slashes with his claws although his needle teeth fail to pierce the brute’s singed skin.
Ragnar drops from view as the platform gives way, but just out of sight the berserker fingers find unlikely purchase in the steel hard ice, and Northern anger fuels his climb back towards the trow...
As the raking wounds upon his hide being to knit and heal, Gorruk, loses himself in his own blood rage and drops his fearsome hook, tearing into this giant-animal-man-who-wields-fire-from-critter-kin with his own claws and hooked fangs;

Black Dow: DM O' The North |

Ragnar's blod-minded stubborness and steely fingers mean he does not fall, but neither does he climb.
Salvation comes in the form of a hempen rope offered by his fellow Northman...
Presuming Ragnar takes the dangled line, Skølrykk can haul him up in 2 rounds.
Round 4
Kevkul still to act
Round 5

Round 5
Gorruk HP: 29/45 [10 damage fire damage, 6 can be healed, 10 has been healed]
As the Northmen debate the finer points of ice climbing and Luke wrenches his axe free o' its icy sheath with a loud "crack", it is left to Muli and Kevkul to engage the blod-thirsty trow.
The jotunn sized weasel’s claw misses Gorruk by a whisker, while behind him Kevkul’s hammer thuds against the trow’s hide but the impact draws little more than the brute’s ire.
Gorruk wheels on the dweorg and leers at the brave priest, its ridged tongue flicking eagerly between yellowed fangs:
” Bátor kicsi törpe! ÉN akarat héj nyit -a vas bőr és táplál -ra -a felajánl részek!”
Then, as the wounds rent by Muli-Marten’s claws on his pale hide begin to heal, Gorruk brings his own fangs and ice shard claws to bear on the stalwart dwarven priest.

Gorruk needs a 19 to beat Kevkul's AC or 23 if he's a giant..
Kevkul hunkers beneath his trusty shield, turning aside the bite and claw attack before stepping in to press an attack. Kevkul grimly stares at the Jotun words hurled at him, daring Gorruk to press his attacks.
