While they wait quietly for Hrim to return from scouting, Cladissa looks back and forth between the other Pathfinders. She drops Cole into the water to let him get used to it and turns to watch the bubbles riding to the surface.
"Potion seems to work," she reports.
As the moments pass to allow the deep gnome time to lurk, Cladissa coughs softly. "So, I'm not seeing Roald anymore," she announces.
She looks at the others again. "In case you were wondering." She falls silent.

The tian takes some time to look through the empty rooms just to see if there's anything of any importance while they wait. "No, it's good to know." He replies to Cladissa. She starts to smile at Nyug's offer, but it fades a moment as her eyes flick briefly toward Argor. "Maybe later. I guess I think it's a good thing," she says though she sounds wistful and sad. "He wanted -- We wanted different things out of the relationship."
Then sofly, under her breath, she mutters, "Jerk."

With a pained grimace he tries back in again, and this time he manages to succeed. "Aha! Look here, the captain's log."
Nyug holds it in his pincered hands and begins to leaf through it, looking to learn more, and reading interesting bits aloud as he goes.

Mattera looks over the contents of the book, and fits it into a belt pouch with no further comment. As everyone else was drinking their potions, the tian felt like it was a good time to do it as well. The taste was horrendous, but he forced it down through sheer willpower.
He followed Hrim at a distance, not wishing to play their hand to early. At least, he was pretty sure he was following him at a distance. When the gnome didn't want to be seen, it was fairly difficult to see him. He had his spear at the ready as they were heading down, knowing it would work well in the tight corridor, as well as having the reach to fight over the gnome's shoulder. When Argor mentioned that he would be enlarging him, he nodded. "I've been enlarged before. It worked fairly well. I just hope there is room to use it effectively. I'll trust you to make that judgement call."

____________________________________
Touch attacks on Cladissa: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 281d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19
Cladissa takes 4 negative levels and 2d8 ⇒ (2, 5) = 7 damage.
This attack saps a living opponent’s vital energy and happens automatically when a melee or ranged attack hits. Each successful energy drain bestows one or more negative levels (the creature’s description specifies how many). If an attack that includes an energy drain scores a critical hit, it bestows twice the listed number of negative levels. Unless otherwise specified in the creature’s description, a draining creature gains 5 temporary hit points for each negative level it bestows on an opponent. These temporary hit points last for a maximum of 1 hour. Negative levels remain until 24 hours have passed or until they are removed with a spell such as restoration. If a negative level is not removed before 24 hours have passed, the affected creature must attempt a Fortitude save (DC 10 + 1/2 the draining creature’s racial HD + the draining creature’s Cha modifier; the exact DC is given in the creature’s descriptive text). On a success, the negative level goes away with no harm to the creature. On a failure, the negative level becomes permanent. A separate saving throw is required for each negative level.
For each negative level a creature has, it takes a cumulative –1 penalty on all ability checks, attack rolls, combat maneuver checks, Combat Maneuver Defense, saving throws, and skill checks. In addition, the creature reduces its current and total hit points by 5 for each negative level it possesses. The creature is also treated as one level lower for the purpose of level-dependent variables (such as spellcasting) for each negative level possessed. Spellcasters do not lose any prepared spells or slots as a result of negative levels. If a creature's negative levels equal or exceed its total Hit Dice, it dies.
