I'd like to, says Halloran, but I'm currently working on an alchemical experiment with Alkaid, tomorrow morning might be better.
"That would be fine. It gives me time to get to know everyone. I would also like to know what we plan to do about this Stag Lord fellow."
I don't know much about the Stag Lord, supposedly all the bandits in this region answer to him. Seeing as how he appears to be well established, and our own party roster tends to be in flux, we've mostly been concentrating on local matters and not giving him much thought. Halloran says.
Eventually, we'll probably have to deal with him, (one way or another) but for right now I consider him to be a problem for the the future.
Elaines says "Yes we might be able to weaken them even more and get rid of more bandits first before fighting their boss. And we might be stronger ourselves."
Halloran points at Elaine and says, What she said.
"You'll be lucky, if you can find everyone."
Indeed, Halloran says with a nod to Happs.
Standing up, Halloran says to the room in general, Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go check on Alkaid and see how she's doing with that experiment, we were doing. and with that he leaves.
The storm passes after a few hours, with high winds, hail, thunder and lightning, and a lot of rain. In the storms wake, you can see some repair work that's going to be needed, but the place is still standing.
The soil is also water logged and will likely need some time to drain and dry, you all quick do some patch work and will do the real fixing in a few days. You all take it easy another day or two.
You wake up in the morning with a bright sun, and clear skies.
Before he heads out, Halloran checks with Svetlana to see if she has a few items for sale, Do you happen to have any Honey and/or Travel Cake Mix for sale?
Svetlana
"We do have some honey left, though I think it's only a small jar of it."
That will do, Halloran assures her. How about the trail cake mix?
Svetlana
"Nope, don't have any of that."
Earwen checks over her gear once more and makes sure Rook has a belly full of oats before setting out. Seeing everything in place she checks on Halloran.
Very well then, how much for the honey? Halloran asks.
Svetlana
"1 silver."
elaine thinks It has been a while since I had honey.
More than fair, Halloran says, and pays her.
Taking the jar of honey, he packs it in his saddlebags and readies his horse.
Turning to the others he asks, Are we ready to go?
"I am all set"
"Actually I could use some more trail rations. Five days worth. If you have them Svetlana."
Svetlana
"We only have 3 left in stock, which is 15 silver for the rest."
"I think your ready for the trip."
Are you coming with us, Alkaid? Halloran asks.
"I still have to work on Lina's treatment,
and hopefully I have it right and finished before you all get beck."
"Here's one gold and five silver for the lot."She hands over the money and grabs her goodies."Thank you very much. Now I'm ready to go."
Svetlana
"If you order something now, you might get it when you get back."
Well, good luck to you with that. Halloran says to Alkaid.
Turning to the others he asks, Is everyone ready?
Pausing as if hearing a voice in his head, (Thanks for the assist Azure), Halloran turns to the courtyard and calls out, We're going on a boar hunt, does anyone want to come with us?
"Going on a boar hunt, I'm game."
Well then, grab some gear, saddle a horse and meet us at the front gate in 10 minutes. Halloran says.
Earwen hops on Rook, her horse, and moves on to the gate.
Frank joins the group as they travel.
Halloran talks to the party as they ride, I thought we'd take a route we've already explored, no surprises that way, and we can stop off at the temple and check on Jhod. He's that priest I was telling you about yesterday. he says in an aside to Earwen.
As you go on, the ground is soggier than what the horses are used to, and when you reach the forest, you can see some of the damage with some knocked down trees.
You reach the fairy nest in a about 4 hours
Halloran dismounts from his horse, hands his reins to one of the others, pulls the jar of honey he got from Svetlana from his saddlebags, and says, Wait here, I'll be right back.
Halloran walks over to the tree where the fairy nest is, puts the jar of honey down by the base of the tree, then calls out (in Elven), A gift for you!
After that he returns to his horse, takes back his reins, remounts and says, Let's go, if we push we can get to the temple before dark. and continues on.
Earwen looks to Halloran with a puzzled look "What was that about?"
"Giving fey a present is a sure fire way of getting them to not play their jokes on you.
I've seen Kressle do that a few times."
Halloran points at Frank, What he said, before you came we had an elven ranger named Silstaren in our group, he told me about the Fey, and buying their favor with gifts. Since we were passing through their territory, it seemed prudent to be friendly. I would have called out in Sylvan, unfortunately I don't know that language yet, Elven was the best I could do.
Earwen looks to Halloran and says "Oh. All you had to do was ask. I know Celestial, Draconic, and Sylvan." She then cups her hands to her mouth to project her voice and says in Sylvan "This is a gift from the wizard Halloran and his party. We wish to be friends of the fey. My name is Earwen Elensar and one day I shall return to speak with you at length."

Halloran smiles his thanks, Yes let's, while we ride perhaps you could teach me some Sylvan? I'd very much like to learn it.
You all move on, Perception checks
Always looking for bandits Earwen moves on.
Perception:
You all proceed along to the temple and reach it at sunset.
You spot Jhod cleaning the place from the storm.
Earwen cocks her head to the side and asks "Is this were we are going to hunt the boar?"
No, this is where we are going to be spending the night, the boar's nest is further on. Halloran says.
Raising his hand he calls out in greeting, Good evening Jhod! I hope you have room for guests.
"The cave has room, though it might need some more cleaning"
