To add to the ravages of a brutal civil war The Schaler Trivarium must also now suffer a terrible plague. You have accepted a mission to deliver a vital supply of much needed serum to the system. Delivery of the serum and other much needed medical supplies to an awaiting hospital ship, it should be an easy mission.

And then been back to Fineline, Feldspar, and Aeryl. Oh, and Fred, that's the trigger-happy goon that you're following.

Fred : "Windlu is going to see that you get treated right, yes he will! You've been a great help here, and it won't be forgotten! "

Sorry was not able to get on yesterday due to the system being out.

Boone keeps himself ready to spring at a moment's notice.

"Are you sure you want to follow this madman? He plans on killing thousands of innocents...for what? It's not too late to stop him, you know. Just help me out and we can put an end to this insane plan.", Eli whispers to his guard as they walk down the hallway.

Aurora pulls Anson aside. "Do we really want to trust this Windu fellow?"

Boone : She says nothing, but stares grimly ahead.

The others : You're in a narrow, curving tunnel. Conduits, humming with power raise in an arch above your head.

Dr. Feldspar, you including Aeryl in your conversation?

Sure.

Aeryl: Whispering . "Windu is a ruthless member of the Syndicate, just like Kamo. They're both killers."

There is a dull thump and a shuddering vibration that you feel through the deckplates.

Fred hurries up to a landing, peers anxiously down the stairwell.

"So, that's a no," Aurora says, mostly to herself.

Male Human Pilot

"I don't trust any of them, frankly," Anson whispers back as they walk. "Aeryl, if you have a plan, I'd be willing to follow it. However, Boone is still missing and Windlu possibly knows what happened to him and has more information on the situation. Speaking of which," his voice becomes louder as he addresses Fred, "What happened anyway? Did someone attack?"

"So you really don't care if he kills all those people...men, women...children! Is his vendetta yours as well, or do you actually think for yourself?"

Eli keeps up the quiet banter trying to get an advantage on this guard if her attention wavers at all.

The Lower Level :

Fred : "I don't know." He peers intently down the stairwell, looking very indecisive.

The upper level :

Guard: "Shut up!"
The woman just stares grimly ahead.

There is a low thump coming from a lower level. Kamo stops, looking puzzled.

Male Human Pilot

"Is there something wrong?" Anson asks after a moment. "Is there anything up this stairwell?" He looks up at the conduits above him, a frown on his face.

Anson, just barely audible over the hum and thrum of the conduits and pipes all around you, you think you hear faint foot-steps from overhead .

The Upper Level :

Kamo : "You two, go check it out."

Two of the guards hurry ahead, to the landing some twenty meters down the corridor, leaving Kamo, Boone, and the woman.

Male Human Pilot

Anson looks above him before turning back to Fred. "So is Windlu upstairs? Because I think I hear footsteps."

Fred cautiously creeps to the landing, peers upwards.

Fred:"Oh ****! There's somebody up on the level above!"

And, on the upper level.

One of Kamo's guards comes racing back.

Guard : Breathlessly. "There's somebody on the level directly below us!"

Male Human Pilot

"Not friendly, I'm supposing?" Anson raises his gun to chest level, wary. "No other way around?"

Fred is clearly uncertain and anxious.

Fred : "Windlu is below..."

Left unsaid is the question of the explosions, which also came from below.

upper level : One of Kamo's guards comes running back to where Kamo is waiting anxiously.

Guard : "There's someone on the landing below!"

Kamo : "It's gotta be some of Windlu's crew!"

In a very loud voice, Eli calls out.

"Well I hope it is not some of Windlu's people! What do you think Kamo?"

A gauss pistol appears in Kamo's hand.

Kamo : "Shut the hell up!"

Lower Level : Feldspar, you think you hear a faint shouting from the the level above.

Fred apparently hears the noise from above, as he is peering anxiously upwards: starting down the landing would expose who ever ventured it to any marksmen who might be above.

Male Human Pilot

"Where were we headed to anyway?" Anson looks behind his shoulder to check if their escape route was clear. "I'd rather avoid a confrontation."

Lower Level :

Fred: "Windlu is two levels below, in the power sub-station."

Fred cranes his neck upwards, frowns.

"Well, I guess its no good waiting here!"

He plunges down the stair-well.

Upper Level:

The guard at the stair-well is shouting.

"Somebody is headed down the stairs, and it looks like they're in a hurry!"

Kamo begins running.

Male Human Pilot

"Scrap it all, some warning would have been nice," Anson swears before urging Aurora and Aeryl to move in front of him, taking the last position to cover them.

Eli continues to bide his time until he sees an opportunity.

Aurora moves as directed, wary of things to come.

Lower Level :

Glancing up, as you run down the stairs, you see someone on the landing above you, watching your downward flight.

You hear a shouted command to 'Stop'.

Upper Level :

Kamo reaches the landing, glances down. shouts.

"Stop!

The woman watching Boone : "Come on, lets move!"

Male Human Pilot

Anson doesn't recognize the voice and continues to follow behind the other if they decide to continue moving.

You clatter down the stairs; relieved that it doesn't appear that anyone is firing on you.

Boone moves slowly, trying to get some distance between him and his guard and the rest of the bunch.

Kamo and his two thugs are at the landing, and one of the thugs is
beginning to start down the stairs.

Your guard takes a couple of strides down the tunnel, and then turns to scowl at you, one hand dropping to a stun stick clipped to her belt.

The guard : "Your move."

"Ok, ok...sheesh!"

Boone keeps his eyes on the others...waiting until only he and the guard are on this level...then he might make his move...

Aurora follows Anson's lead, keeping on the move unless he stops.

Kamo's two thugs are heading down the stairs.

Kamo himself seems to be hanging back.

How close are they to the hole in the floor? Is it be enough to maybe push one of them down it?

So the two thugs have started down, while Kamo is still at the railing, peering down. You're about 5 meters from Kamo now, if you wanted to bull-rush him and try to pitch him over the railing.

Lower Level: Fred is rushing ahead, when he suddenly stops.

What would I need to do that?

Probably a melee 'test', or two, to evade your keeper, and then a successful melee attack to grapple and throw Kamo.

Lower Level : Looking past a now crouching Fred, Fineline sees what looks to be a figure, oddly splayed against the curve of the tunnel wall.

Lower Level : It appears that someone has been 'glued' to the tunnel wall, by a mass of sticky tendrils.

Hmmm..I have no melee skill so most likely I would get killed...will wait for a better moment!

Eli stays where he is waiting to see what the others do.

Upper Level : Kamo slowly begins to descend the stairs. Boone, you and your minder are nearly at the top of the stairs now.

Lower Level :

You're all somewhat together in a bunch, checking out the mysterious figure webbed to the wall.

Aeryl: "Is that someone in a tangle-web?"

A tangle-web is a kind of net, covered in a gluey adhesive that dries rapidly upon exposure to the air. It is fired from a large bore weapon, like a shot-gun. Law enforcement frequently use them when lethal force is deemed excessive (or solid projectiles are considered unsafe because of environmental risks).

Boone I would probably have allowed for the substitution of the Athletics skill, at a penalty.

Hmmm...with athletics-0 it might give me a chance....

Seeing his chance, Boone moves forward and looks down the ladder-way.

"What the....did you see that??", he exclaims to the guard, trying to get her to lean over the opening so he can then push her in.

Athletics: 2d6 + 0 + 0 ⇒ (3, 6) + 0 + 0 = 9

She slowly makes her way to the railing. At the last moment she turns; to see you rushing her.

She lashes out with her stun-stick, landing a solid blow.

stun stick: 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (5, 5) + 1 = 11

stun damage: 1d6 ⇒ 6

Dam Boone, you and stun weapons.

The shock from her stun baton, sends Boone reeling back, though he does have the satisfaction of seeing her pitched over the railing into the stairwell.

Kamo wheels about, to stare at Boone in slack-jawed surprise.

Boone, I'll give you one round to act, before you again fall unconscious.

Lower Level. There's some commotion from above you.

Ok, this might be dumb, but Eli is going to drop soon again anyway...

Stumbling forward, barely able to feel his own legs due to the stun, Eli throws himself down the ladder and hopes he breaks his fall on the guard and Kamo!
