Combat Over Xp 135 each, Jorland you still haven't leveled up
Walthus, who was watching the boat runs in after all of the enemies were destroyed says, What happened? Did you find anything?
Jorland The Shuhite
I look at the skeletons with an expression of pity. "Restless souls dat needed te be put down a second time. Hope dey find dere peace. At any rate, lets resume da search." I do just that, resume the search.
I did level Jorland to 2. All his specs are up to date.
GMEDWIN
Inside the ship rotten hull of the ship you find half sunk rotten crates which are soft to the touch and squishy. Inside is only larva.
The skeletons have only broken chain armor and their rusty wakizashis.

"My mother once told be about this ship," Liu Na says softly, staring at the wreckage. "The Kaijitsu Blossom was the larger ship of a convoy consisting of three ships that attempted to escort Ameiko and Takeshi's father from Brinewall to Sandpoint 25 years ago. Of the three ships, only the Kaijistu Swan - the ship that their father was on - made it to Sandpoint safely."
Lina
Lina is breathing heavily and looks at once horrified and astounded. "Hold on! We were just attacked by living skeletons and we're just going to go on in there?!? You're all ok with that?" As everyone continues in to investigate she shakes her head and tries her best to keep up. "Well, at least tell me if anyone's still hurt?"
Takeshi Kaijitsu
- Male human (Tien) Magus (Kensai) 4
"Unbelievable," Takeshi says, his hand sliding along the rotting wood of the ship. "To find it after so long... We need to keep searching, to see if there is anything remaining from the voyage here."
At Lina's question he notics blood dripping from his fingers. "Ahh, yes, Lina. It seems that I have been injured."

I look at Lina and then at my wound. "Worry not girly, tis but a scratch." I look over the ship and listen to Takashi. "You an Amy huh? I wonder what we gonna find on dis ship. Hopefully somefin good for Amy"

I seem to be admiring the ethnic design of the ship but don't find anything important.

As everyone continues in to investigate she shakes her head and tries her best to keep up. "Well, at least tell me if anyone's still hurt?"
"Oh, believe me, I'm not okay with this - some of those skeletons that attacked us may have been my ancestors," Liu Na replies to Lina's question, her face pale. "But that's why I want to know more about this ship. And it may hold important information for Takeshi and Ameiko as well."
"And forgive me for not saying this before, but thank you for your healing magic. I feel almost as good as new," Liu Na adds, bowing respectfully to Lina. "I just wish you hadn't gotten hurt trying to heal me."

Well, I've been in a shipwreck before and it kind of makes me a bit sad to see what has happened here. Should we not move towards the cave or should stay here the night and go to the cave tommorrow? says Walthus with a bit of melancholy.
Takeshi Kaijitsu
- Male human (Tien) Magus (Kensai) 4
"This was a ship that was part of the company of ships that brought my father to this land. I will not leave without a proper search. There must be something more than skeletons."
Takeshi begins to thoroughly search through the ruined ship, trying to find any clues.

"Walthus? Doesn't that map on the fan show another shipwreck site as well? It may be the other ship from the Kaijitsu convoy. We should check it out after we finish here," Liu Na suggests, looking toward Takeshi for confirmation.

"There's a message in Tian here on the wall. It says, 'Survivors who may have fallen off the ship or those from the other ships, we are holed up in a cave south of here, Tsutamu'. Does that name mean anything to you, Takeshi? There's a map, too - it shows the location where we are now and the cave on Megus' map."
Jorland The Shuhite
I listen to Liu. "Fascinating! Wonder if ders anyting of Amy's at dis cave she might like. Wonder if we cud get der befer nightfall?"
How long would it take us to get there?
Jorland The Shuhite
I look to the others. "So whats da call? We can stay da night here or push to da caves and finish dat befer we retire fer da night. What's de call? I'd be agreeable eider way." I wait for a group decision.
GMEDWIN
Alrighty then, les get a move on! says Walthus as all of you climb back into the rowboat and he pushes you out to marsh.
Rowing profusely in the late day sun, which turns a beautiful red as it dips below the horizon to the east, you make landfall about an hour later and Walthus ties off the boat to a large tree to keep it from floating away.
In front of you, you see that a fifty-foot-high cliff rises along the marsh’s southern border, its face a thick tangle of jutting rocks and bright green vines and nettles. A curtain of these thick nettle vines partially conceals a cave opening at the base of the cliff.
Jorland The Shuhite
I hop off the boat and draw my axe. "Ah right, lets do dis." I begin to slash apart the nettles and clear the entrance. Once I am done I look back at the others. "Takashi an Lina, ye both can cast light right? Kali an I can take point with Liu an Taki in da rear. Lina be in da middle so we can protect er if we are attacked from both sides. Dat means we need a light up front an one behind. We found walkin bones on da boat. Cud find da same here so make sure ye blunt weapons er ready. I look at Lina. Is light one of ye spells?" I put away my axe and pull out my morning star.
Did we find any blunt weapons with all the looting we've been doing?
Kalistrine
Kalistrine hefts her axe in her right hand and straps her shield to her left. "My shield served well enough." she says, and pokes her head into the cave entrance, looking deeper.

The caverns sit mostly level, just 10 feet or so above sea level.
The ceilings look consistent at about 7 feet in height, and moisture constantly dripping down from above to make slippery puddles and rivulets
in the floor. The cave is about ten feet wide and continues straighly with a slight leftwards curve after about thirty feet. Parallel to the path looks like a body of water. About 15 feet away you can see another path to the right.
Kalistrine
Kalistrine, moving cautiously, pads forward, her eyes turned away from the magical lights behind her. She pauses at the intersection and looks to the right, her eyes and ears primed for any signs of occupation.

I look at Kalistrine curiously. "Any paticular reason? I'll be blunt, I'm usin ma gut here. Don't truly matter te me which way we go as long as we go a way. Straight jest felt right somehow."
GMEDWIN
You can continue your debate.
Kali peers down the tunnel to the right which goes forward straight for fifteen feet and then takes a 45 degree angle from there and at the edge of your darkvision you can see it goes in that direction for another 20 feet before it curves to the left another 45 degrees.
Kalistrine
"Call it... Experience. I just don't like... left." she says softly, turning her head away from you. Unconsciously, Kalistrine pulls her hair down over the scars on her face.
Jorland The Shuhite
I shrug. "Fine, we will go right fer now but I do aim te expler every inch of dis cave. Jest though we shud get this other passage checked off ferst is all. Again it dunt matter ta me which way we go cause we gonna expler dem both anyways. Come on, Let's take to de right den." I join Kalistrine down the right passage.
Kalistrine
Kalistrine freezes when she sees the Spider. She nudges Jorland, and holds up her axe. "We go through the beast?" she whispers. "Or maybe let Liu take a shot and let it come to us?"
GMEDWIN
Jorland's javelin hits the spider, interrupting its dinner and then it fires its webs at Jorland 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20 success, coating him in webbing. DC19. Jorland is grappled by the web.
