"Ye said dis was her familiar. Since she be dead, dere be no point in tyin dis ting up. I'm lettin it go." I untie the rat and let it run off.
Before we start digging I look to Kali. "Maybe we ought ta set up a funeral pire an cremate her?"

After he answers I get to digging.

Walthus looks at Jorland and says Feel free to keep that thing.
After Kali and Jorland dig a grave large enough for Megus' corpse, Walthus solemnly places her into the hole, saying something in Halfling in a calm reverent manner and picks up a handful of the muddy marshy dirt and throws it on top of Megus's corpse and then streaks the mud over his face.

"I didn't know Megus, but I know she was a friend of Walthus and of Nisk and Koya Mvashti, so I'm sorry for their loss" Liu Na says, standing with her companions around the grave. The half-elf ninja reaches into her pack to retrieve the letter from Koya to Megus. "Megus didn't get to read Koya's letter in this life, but I hope these words of friendship keep her company in the afterlife," she says, dropping the letter into the grave.

Lina steps up to the grave and clears her throat. "I...I am not a cleric or priestess, and have no religious schooling. But something happened to me recently that changed my life forever. For whatever reason, Desna spoke to me and made me her servant. I've begun to see the good She does in this world, and realize that I was mistaken about a great many things in my youth and ignorance. I can't deny that the gods are real, and that they are alive and working in this world. Desna is a force for good, and may She bear Megus' spirit across the heavens to her final rest." She bows briefly before stepping back to join the group.

Kalistrine's face is smudged with dirt. She says nothing, standing a step back from the others, her hand resting on the handle of her shovel. Her eyes have an odd glint in them as she watches the warped corpse descend into the ground.

After the ceremony, Walthus seems a bit more crestfallen than his normal chipper halfling self, he turns to you individually and says,
I would like to express my thanks for your empathy and tenderness during this trying time.
After a little bit he says, [b] Have you checked out the entire shack and storage shed, afterwards we can head out in the row boat, because Megus won't be needing it anymore. [b]
You can check out the shed, go to either of the shipwreck sites or explore the cave, which is located on the map that you found amongst the scrolls. Noone has identified the scrolls yet either.

"I'll have a look at that shed." Kalistrine says, and walks away from the grave. She spends some time going through the shed, taking her time.

Kalistrine trudges over to the shed, and without thinking, barges her way in. The sight of the huge rats startles her. Alone, and surprised, the pain in her head that has been tormenting her all day explodes, and she lets loose a horrifying howl that sounds barely as though it is coming from the woman's throat at all.
They are still flat-footed, yes? Free action to Rage, 5 foot step and attack nearest Rat with Gore attack. 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22

After Kalistrine's roar, she kills a rat with her gore attack, shredding the rat into pieces.

The two remaining rats react to Kalistrine killing their companion and attack her. Rat 2 bites deep into the changeling and Kalistrine is able to avoid the attack of rat 3.

Kalistrine claws rat 2 in half with a vicious swipe, where its dead body is flung across the shed thudding hard against the deteriorating wall. The she gores rat 3 viciously and it also dies in a heap of fur,flies and bone.
By the time Walthus (and the rest) get to the shed, there are three mutilated, dead dire rats on the ground and Kalistrine with horns and claws noone saw before and a huge grin on her face.
Walthus smiles and says, Nice work! I knew there was something different about you, hahahaha!!!

I look at Kali. "Wow! Ders more to ye dan meets de eye. Nice werk."
At the boat I nod. "I'm lookin ta clean dis marsh out. First I say we hit de shipwreck an from dere move on to da cave. Den once we don everthing we can, we head home. I still got some carry'n space on me." I hop in the boat ready to row.

Breathing hard and spattered with gore, Kalistrine emerges from the shed. As you watch, a pair of horns are receding into her forehead, and the scars on the left side of her face are fading back to their normal pink.
"The... shed had a rat problem." she says faintly, the grin slipping from her lips. Her face pales and she slumps, fatigue washing over her. She goes and dunks her head in the water nearby and takes a few minutes to wash the blood and viscera off.

The group of you jump onto the rowboat and Walthus guides you through the brackish water out to the open sea still clinging near shore. The sea air is much cooler than that of the marsh, feels a bit odd considering the fact that you are about 10 yards outside of the marsh. Your large rowboat follows the coastline of one of the islets of the Brinestump Marsh and
Walthus has you beach the boat next to what appears at first to be a strange tangle of branches is in fact the moss-covered ribs of a wrecked ship. The ruined ship lies on its side, split down the middle and mostly sunken into the mud and murky water.
Here she is! says Walthus with a smile.

I enjoy the sea. I am an Ulfen after all (Viking equivalent). Pulling the boat where Walthus guides I examine the ship closely.

"The Kaijitsu's Blossom. Aye, dat's Aimiko's name. Wonder if dis is da ship her folks took here? Welp, I'm ichin ta get on board an see what's in dere. Be neat to see some of Amy's history."
With great enthusiasm I tie up the boat and board the ship and start exploring. I'd like to take 20 to explore if I may.

Having kept silent during the entire journey from Megus' shack, Liu Na continues to stoically scan the surrounding area for any threats while keeping an arrow nocked to her bowstring. Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16
The half-elf ninja's eyes widen when Jorland announces the name of the ruined ship, and she silently wonders if it could truly somehow be related to Takeshi and Ameiko's family - and perhaps her own. Casting a wary eye toward the swamp, she joins Jorland and Takeshi as they enter the wreckage of the ship.

Hehe, I got this awesome mental image of Takashi dropping his sword and punching the skeleton's skull in. Very amusing to visualize.
I move quickly to Lina's aid swinging my Morning star at the bones.
