אז שמתי לב שחוץ מאנשים שמשחקים אוראקלים עם קללת "לשונות" וכיוצא באלו, אף אחד לא כותב פה בעברית.
אני פותח את הפורום הזה כדי שישמש לכל ישראלי/דובר עברית להביע את דעותיו/תלונותיו בעברית וגם כדי לייצר קהילה דוברת עברית בתוך כל התוכן האנגלי פה.

Is it okay to post in languages other than English?

No. Moderators need to be able to quickly read through and understand the content of posts. Lengthy posts or threads in languages other than English are not something our team is able to moderate.

Sorry, man.

So I noticed that apart from people who play oracles with the curse of "tongues" and the like, no one writes here in Hebrew.

I open this forum to be used by every Israeli / Hebrew speaker to express his opinions / complaints in Hebrew and also to create a Hebrew speaking community within all the English content here.

This is not allowed by the forum guidelines. Sorry. I'm going to flag it.

The alphabet is Hebrew. I don't know enough to recognize the words. It's also possible that it's a closely related language that uses the same alphabet.

It's Hebrew. Google translate is my friend.

Haladir posted the English translation.

All of the following is by way of Google Translate:

The title (humorously) translates to:

"The Israeli Faizo Forum!"

I don't actually know if that's an error in the title, which would be hilarious, as it's literally a "native" Hebrew word, or if it's just an error, somehow, in Google's thing.

The text says (as Haladir already translated),

It seems like a cool Thread, but I can understand why Paizo will probably lock it -- too many potential problems if one day something gets out of hand/ inappropriate and Paizo has no idea what the posts are about.

I recommend to the OP to start a Thread in Gamer Life, in English, with the same post. Just because one can't (sadly) post in his or her preferred language doesn't mean one can't post an invite in English for other folks in a specific group can post together.
....I'm sure that if I moved to Norway or Belize or Greece or somewhere I might start a Thread like that: 'Bulgarians of Paizo Unite' to talk about gaming and such in Bulgaria.

In Hebrew, the same letter (Peh) can be pronounced like a P or an F. Google Translate can obviously be forgiven for not knowing the name "Paizo" and therefore having no idea which sound to use.

Yah, one thing I love most about Paizo peeps (and the gaming community in general) is that we're diverse and inclusive, but I understand why the board guidelines have to exist.

AH!!

Thank you! I'd known about that, but have forgotten. I never really learned Hebrew, but I learned a few factoids... that's one of those that's slipped through my memory sieve!

We approve of this thread.

Look into my eyes.

Posts in Hebrew are fine.

It is easy to moderate posts in Hebrew.

The board guidelines do not forbid posting in Hebrew.

All power to the potatoes.

Unfortunately, we don't have the resources to support forum posts or threads in languages other than English. The sole exception to this rule is product discussion threads for products in languages other than English (we offer some PDFs from our translation partners) and in those we ask that the poster provide at least a rough translation (even if its just through translation software) in their post.
