Jake the Brawler |

When are we starting? My schedule today has me working from now until 8 EST, maybe later, and from 4-8 EST on Friday. My Sunday game got moved to Saturday.
In any event, I can certainly build a 10th-level version of Jake tomorrow morning and post him for your approval.

Once we have 4 players we can start, as far as I'm concerned.

Martial Maneuvers (Ex): At 1st level, a brawler can spend a move action to gain the benefit of a combat feat she doesn’t possess for 1 minute. The brawler must otherwise meet all the feat’s prerequisites. She may use this ability a number of times per day equal to half her brawler level (minimum 1).
If this ability is triggered before the duration expires, the brawler loses the previous combat feat and gains a new one in its place.
If a combat feat has a daily use limitation (such as Stunning Fist), any uses of that combat feat while using this ability count toward that feat’s daily limit.
At 6th level, a brawler can use this ability to gain the benefit of two combat feats at the same time. She may select one feat as a swift action or two feats as a move action. She may use one of these feats to meet a prerequisite of the second feat. Each feat selected counts toward her daily uses of this ability.
At 10th level, a brawler can use this ability to gain the benefit of three combat feats at the same time. She may select one feat as a free action, two feats as a swift action, or three feats as a move action. She may use one of the feats to meet a prerequisite of the second and third feats, and use the second feat to meet a prerequisite of the third
feat. Each feat selected counts toward her daily uses of this ability.

You use half hitdice +1 and full hitdice at first level. So 10+9x6=64+10con+10fav class=84 hitpoints
Updated my hit die based on this. 10+9*6+20(con)+8 fav (2 are used for perform dance ranks for the moment) for 94.
Also in terms of the warpriest, its actually not as redicululous as you think, its pretty much on par with its contemporary the magus. Yes it gets all those things, but in very limited quantities, and it doesnt really have divine metamagic, fervor has far more limited use, it is just the master of buffing itself.
I mean I guess we will see how it plays out but I dont see it outpacing a paladin when he's smiting, and definately not the druid and its pouncing cat buddy.
Look at the list of things a paladin gets:
1. The best swift action offensive and defensive buff in the game (smite evil)
2. Swift action self heal
3. Charisma(primary ability score) to all saves
4. Ability to remove negative conditions with its selfbuff
5. Ability to enhance weapon
6. Area effect buffs that are either always on or easy to activate
7. Immunity or strong defenses vs several dangerous conditions (charm, disease, fear)
The druid.
1. A whole other character that if chosen correctly can be nearly as effective as a fighter (better if the point buy is low)
2. 9 levels of spell casting
3. Spontaneous summones
4. The ability to transform in to a wide variety of either useful (birds for flight, crittors for stealth, fish to go in water) creatures for hours at a time
5. The ability to transform into really POWERFUL creatures and stomp face along side your companion for hours at a time. (please note this buffs your stats, gives you special abilities, almost always increases your damage die, and can increase the number of attacks you make). A double pounce from a wild shaped druid and his big cat or dino buddy is absolutely brutal at mid levels.
6. The action economy benefit of having an animal companion who can fight, and a 9 level caster with a ton of control, buff, and utility spells to support that fighting.

I don't really consider something that is available as a swift action for 100/rounds a day at lvl 10 a limited resource.
Also Fervour is in no way more limited than Divine Metamagic was,the opposite is the case,5 quickened spells a day at lvl 10 and thats with Charisma 10,thats one per encounter and one extra, and thats on a long day.
We will see how it plays out,but I don't think other classes will stack up well against it.

For armor, yes, but for weapons its 10 rounds at level 10.

Its more limited because it only applies to buffs that the warpriest casts on himself only. Divine metamagic could be used to do any number of things on any of the cleric's spell. That is why its more limited. Also divine metamagic fed on a resource that clerics and paladins barely cared about, turns. Now its based on a resource the warpriest definately wants to have around for the lay on hands effect. Those are 2 huge differences between divine metamagic and fervor.
We will see how it plays out,but I don't think other classes will stack up well against it.
I am pretty sure the arcanist would stack up, but it just isnt a class I am interested in. I would say the revised warpriest puts it in the upper tiers of the game, but not above the more powerful ones.

No its just a thing that Pathfinders do I guess.:) There are faction missions that lend this decission some significance though.
I will send each of you your faction mission per PM, as a Pathfinder you would be inclined to not let members of other factions know about it even if you work togheter.
First post is up in the Gameplay thread.

It looks like we have two different posting speeds.Thats often a thing in PbP's and as GM I don't want anyone to get frustrated because its moving too fast or too slow for him. It's almost the end of the playtest and I doubt we will get much done before, so as far as I am concerned we are not in a hurry anymore.
Any ideas as to how we could find a speed of posting that is comfortable for everyone? Maybe a set number of post per day?

Kolokotroni |

I am fine taking it easy, and yea doesnt look like we will get anything before the close but would be fun to continue. I have essentially no play by post experience, so I am flying blind here in terms of 'posting speed'. Whatever works is fine by me, I just need to know how often (or at what times) I'd need to check in. I generally check the boards fairly frequently during the day, but would only check in in the evenings (Eastern time) if I know I need to.

I can usually do more than one post per day. Thing is, it's finals weeks here. After Friday I'm free though. I'm on EST and am usually up late.
Make of this what you will. I'm cool with up to 2 or 3 posts per day, after Friday. Until then 1 or 2 a day is all I'm going to be able to do.

Very sorry about the turn this took ,but I was having a lot of trouble here.I had a flooded basement over the holidays and was fully occupied handling it.
No electricity in the house for almost a 3 weeks, had to sleep at my sisters house for a while.
I know I should have messaged you guys about it, but havent really thought about it at the time.
