Aasimar / Tiefling characters

I attended NukeCon in Iowa this past weekend and managed to get one of the racial special access certs that were acquired by a lucky few, but I have a few questions I would like a clear and decisive answer on:

When a player levels up, they have the option of getting a bonus skill point or hit point, the common races also have alternate options for favored classes (as noted in the Advanced Players Guide, like the half-elf summoner's option to get a bonus evolution point every 4 levels.)

Here are the questions:

Do Aasimars and Tieflings have favored classes?

Do they have alternate options for the favored classes (if they have any)?

If it has not already been decided one way or another, would it be fair (and appropriate) to consider them as half-elves for the purposes of favored classes & alternate options (given that both are typically half human, half something extraordinary, like a half-elf)?

I look forward to getting feedback. Thanks!

Congrats!
Unlike 3.x, Pathfinder characters begin play with a favored class of your choosing. Aasimars and Tieflings don't have alternate options like in the APG. They are expected when the Advanced Race Guide is released. No, you can't consider them as half-elves.

Unfortunately you won't see alternate favored class options until Advanced Race Guide comes out. Until then, you are stuck with either skill or hit points.

Any idea how long it's supposed to be for the ARG? I've got some time: I want to try and keep a 3 level separation between my characters, and I've currently got a 6th-level Inquisitor (1 AR to 7th) and a 3rd-level Summoner, so I've got time before I do anything with it.

Just in time for my birthday! :D

And I just saw that it mentions playtesting will be coming out this fall; does anyone know where you're supposed to look to sign up or where they'll be putting the PDFs? I tried searching the phrase "playtest" but got nowhere.

Paizo does open playtests for everything. Just be on the look out on the Paizo blog for more information.
