Thod's Friends - PFS UK
Thod's Friends - PFS UK is only a working title to get a few votes. I plan to get a final name together with the early members.
Outlook - a good(ish) aligned guild - that places it most likely towards NG to allow both LG and CG to be part.

Role: Knowledge gathering and sharing as well as protection for it's members
Player Roles Accepted: All
This are early days and a lot is still in flux. As such I feel it is difficult to give final rules for the guild. But there have to be some directions - so you will know if you think you fit in or not.
non negotiable
- the guild won't randomly kill other people, especially weak players and new comers
- I expect that at least the core of the guild will be among the top 10% of strongest characters
- the power structure will depend on participation. The more you participate and help others, the more influence you have
- I will start as a benevolent ruler of the guild but I'm happy to share or even hand on power to someone doing a lot of work in the guild
- motivated newcomers are welcome if their outlook fits with the guild
- we especially welcome PFS players who are new to MMO gaming
- we don't look down on weaker players or exclude them. They share an important role in the game. But they will have less say in the decision making. We don't do democracy on the frontier
- if the settlement allows to build a trading post then the building will be called Thod's Bazaar (I have a company with this name and starting this up gives you some perks)
Some background about myself
I started Play by Mail games nearly 30 years ago. My speciality is statistical analysis of games and retro-engineering algorithms from the data.
I did lead some alliances in several smaller games and we either won / dominated or we were a close second. I also have a background in board gaming with several wins of the German Board Game Championship with my team - 'Die Legionaere'
I'm a scientist in real life with two children. My son is an avid computer gamer and will play as well. I also have a small company in the RPG scene- Thod's Bazaar - which is currently the European Distributor for DwarvenForge.
I'm also very active in the table top RPG scene as one a few UK 4-star GMs in the Pathfinder Society.
My MMO background is very limited. But every new game poses new challenges and I was proud in the past to show established gamers new tricks soon after learning a game and often eclipsing them after recovering from early mistakes due to lack of knowledge.
At the moment I'm looking mostly for some hard core MMO gamers with more experience to help kick starting this guild to ensure we are not early road kill while we establish ourselves. But I'm also looking for some PFS gamers who gives us added numbers or motivated players who come to the MMO world for the first time.

MA sounds interesting. I tend more to go for the underdogs - and you certainly are more experienced. So early on I will likely to have to learn from you and others but I hope to be able to give back later.

MA has a fair deal of experience with sandbox games (experienced DnL/Darkfall/Eve Online players) so we know what can and will happen.

No, I don't know if anyone has. I don't think Nick does any other gaming other than Pathfinder P&P but I suppose that if any game could tempt him it would be Pathfinder Online. You'd be best asking them, I guess.
A couple of guys I know are interested but seem more intent on going evil.

Sorry for my lack of posting here. I was glued to the progress while the kickstarter was still in progress and then needed to do some other important work for RL.
Alexander: yes - I already looked at the Empyrian order and contacted the leader.
Erian - I will look at your order in a moment
Bornum - are you truly fom Eastborne? I'm from East Kent - Deal in the UK.
All - in general the way I see it right now is:
Step 1 - put a claim for the land rush out - done
Step 2 - get at least some followers - done
Step 3 - get more followers - ongoing and will also be done once the game starts
Step 4 - reach out to other likeminded alliances - started
Formal alliances etc. will likely only happen once the game truly has started. At this early stage o much is unknown that it doesn't truly make sense to ally this group with anyone else.
But I try to offer a gathering point from which to move forward.
