*Waits for everything to pan out*

I'm still here. Do you have any ideas on how to insert a new character?

Okay. Thanks.

-8, unconscious. Will attempt to stabilize next round.

That was supposed to say:

This corridor thing is cramping my style.

Yeah, trying to keep backing up and stay away from the AoOs.

This thing corridor is cramping my style. Difficult to flank.

"Curse you," Symas mutters under his breath at the orc as he backs up again. He aims down the shaft and looses an arrow at his opponent.

5-foot step back and firing at A10.
To hit:1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
Damage:1d6 ⇒ 4

I forgot! Thanks.
1d6 ⇒ 3

Confirm crit roll 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14 with 1d6 ⇒ 4 extra damage if successful.

Symas hops backward, drawing an arrow and knocking it. Pulling the bowstring back he takes aim at the orc in front of him.

Shooting at the orc in A11 after a 5-foot step backward.
Shortbow to hit 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23 with 1d6 ⇒ 6 damage.

Symas steps back, knocks, draws, and fires.

5-foot step back then shooting at orc in B10.
To hit: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17. Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 3

I don't mean to be a pest, but is there anyway I can see an updated battle map? Sorry.

Oh, thanks. I'll just move up 20 instead.

Symas runs forward, he makes little noise even in a full sprint. Stopping after about 30 feet, he raises his bow, pulling an arrow back to his face, and takes aim. The arrow whistles through the air as it seeks it's target.

Moving up 30 feet and firing at D5 again.
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10 to hit with 1d6 ⇒ 3 damage if successful.

Sorry for the ninja-ing. :)

In an instant, Symas draws his arrow back and lets it fly.

Firing at the orc in D5.
To hit:
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Damage if hit:
1d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (6) + (3) = 9(Sneak attack)

Symas slips in along side his companions.

I'd like to keep a constant vigil for traps if I can. Perception:
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18

"I don't see anything moving in there," Symas whispers.

Symas takes cover at the mouth of the cave. Kneeling, he raises his shortbow and pulls back an arrow aiming into the cave.

I'd literally like to use the mouth of the cave as a cover bonus, if possible.

Symas shrugs. "All right then," he says. Turning to the cave mouth, he begins to search for tripwires and traps.

Perception for trap finding:
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23

"I think we may have found a lead," Symas says sarcastically. "I can slip in and scout ahead, see what we're walking into."

Symas keeps his bow out with an arrow gently knocked as they travel on.

"That's what I'm looking for here," Symas says looking into the stream.

Awesome. I need to start taking 10 or even 20 on some of these out of combat rolls.

Symas crouches near the water searches the stream for any signs of struggle or travel.

Looking for disturbed rocks, ripped cloth, any blood that hasn't washed away.
Perception:
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11

"No time to waste then," Symas agrees. "Let's follow now."

"I'm just going to get out of the way then," Symas will say stepping to the side so as not to damage or disturb the tracks.

Symas smiles to himself. This group was more than he had assumed. Good to know. "Have we picked up the track yet?" he asks. "May I help?"

Survival roll to assist:
1d20 + 0 ⇒ (12) + 0 = 12

I'd like to roll sleight of hand to pocket one of the two gold pieces without anyone seeing.

Sleight of hand:
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10

I use Maptool for the game I run over Skype. But something easy for PbP to create a quick image would be nice.

Symas stands and stares at the body, in a state of near shock. Well, what did you think? he thinks to himself. This is real life. Nothing like the stories. No happily ever after here.

"Do we have enough people here to carry back the gear to the watch?" Symas speaks aloud.

Symas tries to recover his shot arrow. Then gives even more thorough search of the bodies.

Perception roll for search:
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20

What did you draw the map in GM? That works out well.

Symas pulls out his shortbow and knocks an arrow. Crouching down he takes careful aim at the maggot straight ahead of him.

1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11 to hit. 1d6 ⇒ 4 damage.

Sorry for the slow post. I've been sick the last few days.

Definitely okay with me to have the DM roll initiative. Thanks for asking first too.

Where ever you have Symas works great for me.

Initiative:
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25

Seeing the maggots, Symas' gut reaction is to reach for his short bow. "Well, not exactly what I signed up for. But, at least it'll make for a decent story," he says.

Symas eases off the tree. "Symas," he says nodding.

Symas shrugs. "Eh, what's another warm body? Besides, he seems all warm and fuzzy," he says with a smirk.

Symas leans up against a tree as he watches the exchange.

I'd like to roll Sense Motive on Chardak.
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

Symas looks at each member in the party. "All right, it sounds like we agree to follow the tracks. Let's keep moving," he says.

"You're right, Jondar," Symas agrees. "Vultures could mean bodies."

You're right about using the forum roller. Sorry about that.

I'd like to roll Sense Motive on this peasant. If I can, I roll:
8(d20)+4=12

"Well then," Symas jumps in, "we appreciate your time. But, we must be moving on." He motions to the rest of the group. "Shall we?"

"Can you still see the tracks, Jondar?" Symas asks.

"Well, it looks like we're not strangers anymore," laughs Symas. "Like I told the other fellow, Olivia, we'll do whatever we can for you brother. Thanks for the drinks." Symas slides her three gold. "Let's get her last whereabouts and be on our way. I'm anxious to get out there."

"While I'm not lookin to pass up the opportunity, I had thought the same thing," Symas admits. "One would think at least a search party would be organized immediately."

"I'd like to order something a little stronger, if I may barkeep," says Symas. "First, a round of drinks for my companions here, on me. If you have it, I'll take a whiskey."

"Apparently his friend was the bodyguard to the Mayor and his wife," Symas explains. "I guess he went with the Mayor's wife and hasn't returned either. Guy's name is Philander Caravan. I told him I'd keep and eye out for him while we're out there. My money's on him being dead."

"Ubderstood. Well, I'll keep an eye out," Symas says standing. "Take care of yourself, friend." At that, he'll walk away and rejoin the group.

"Wow, I might be headed with a search party to find the Mayor's wife," Symas says truthfully. "I could keep an eye out for your friend as well. What was his name and what does he look like?"

"Do you have any idea whereabouts he was headed?" Symas asks the elf sincerely.
