Increasing "five foot step" to 10 feet?

Rules Questions

Sczarni

Is it possible to somehow increase the 5ft step to 10ft with either a feat, class ability or even a spell? I'm trying to be able to move 10ft without utilizing a move action so I can still get a full attack.

Not that I've seen.

Try the Lunge feat. Not quite the same thing, but it works out similiarly.

Mobile fighter can get a move action and a full attack.

Various quickend teleport spells ..

Sovereign Court

Lunge looks really nice. Lots of shenanigans enabled.

Thanks gang. I'll keep working on the idea from a different angle :)

I already posted this on the facebook group, but I think a drunken master monk should be able to take 2 five foot steps starting at lv 3. But if you go this route, you should go to at least lv 4, because that's when a monk gets his ki pool.

Drunken Ki

Spoiler:
At 3rd level, a drunken master can drink a tankard of ale or strong alcohol and gain one temporary ki point. The act of drinking is a standard action that does not provoke attacks of opportunity. The monk can have a maximum number of drunken ki points equal to 1 plus one additional point for every two levels thereafter (5th, 7th, and so on). The monk can gain this temporary ki even before he gains a ki pool at 4th level. These drunken ki points last for 1 hour or until spent, whichever is shorter. As long as he has at least 1 drunken ki point, the monk can spend 1 ki point as a swift action to move 5 feet without provoking attacks of opportunity.

If you use that Drunken Ki ability to move, you can't also take a normal 5' step (which you can do only if it's your only movement that round.) You can use it to move and then take a 5' stagger, something most characters can't do.

Can't use it to do what the OP wants, though.

Step Up / Following Step might work to a degree, as well.

You could go for pounce as well if you want to always be getting full attacks, though it isn't available to all classes.

@Take Boat why can't you take a 5-foot step after that? It is a swift action and should be able to stack with a free action 5 foot step.

However the Ranger Skirmisher can do this a limited number of times per day.

Quote:
Surprise Shift (Ex): The Ranger can move 5 feet as a swift action. This movement does not provoke attacks of opportunity and does not count as a 5-foot step.

This would allow a total of 10 feet in a round.

There is a lower level arcane spell that allows 2 5-foot steps in the same round, but I cannot remember it or the restrictions on it.

It's not an action issue, you can only take a 5' step if you make no other movement in the round. Moving 5' as a swift is still moving.

I see. Darn there goes one of my character Ideas. oh well. Thanks Take.
