Using the Plague of Shadows chronicle sheet

When somebody finally uses one of these minor boons from this chronicle sheet, do I really have to ask to see the book as proof? I assume that as long as a GM has signed off on the sheet and they cross off the boon, that is good. None of the boons are that big of a deal anyway.

On a side note - After thinking about it, I really don't see a big deal in providing a couple of minor boon options which are typically knowledge bonuses to the location or subject matter of the book. I would eliminate the option to buy any specialty items, not that I believe anyone will take advantage of the item anyway.

If the chronicle sheet is signed and the boon is marked, you're good to go.

Hyrum.

Thanks Hyrum,

That is good and easy to administer. Thanks!

That is funny JP, I was going to bring my book and chronicle for you to sign on Monday. Sounds like a deal!

Be prepared to experience the PFS Quest as well!

How can I prove that I own the book as I have only bought them in ePub format? A PDF of "My Downloads" section? JPEG of my eBook reader with the front cover of the book? Granted though I probably wouldn't even remember that I had the boon as I forget some of the abilities my characters have from non-bonus material.

Bring your eBook reader with you to show the GM who's going to sign your Chronicle? Just like you would bring the paperback?

That or a printable receipt?

Or you can print one page of the book (prefereably the cover or title page) from the PDF, on the bottom should be your name and email address, which counts as valid.

@Mark: I play online only.
I will print out to PDF the first page to show the watermarks.

Just show a GM that you purchased the e-book (either by showing a receipt, printout with your name and email or on your Kindle/iPad/Nook/eReader of choice) and you're good to go.

All is good. I showed my book to our Venture-Captain JP and he signed my boon sheet. I forget what the boons are, but I am sure it will be cool. Someday I hope to read the book. It looks good.

The book is great! I really enjoyed how it helped me learn more about the region of Galt. Although, my favorite so far is "Prince of Wolves" and I am about half-way thru "Winter Witch" and it is turning out a good page turner. Now for the Worldwound Gambit to be available for purchase.

I'm still going to demand a book report prior to signing one of these things. ;-)

Sad enough Kyle, a book report is not required by the rules and thanks to the GMing rules, just about anybody can sign the sheet.

Good news, the boons don't amount to much of anything (considering I cannot even recall what they were) and won't affect the game at all.

I am reading "Prince of Wolves" right now so I will eventually get to them all.

But I also withhold the right not to sign one if I don't want to :-)

True.

I assume the next book and chronicle will be out soon. I shall buy it, read it, report to you what I thought of it and then you can sign my chronicle sheet at GENCON at Scotty's!

Sounds like a plan! A chronicle sheet signed by Venture-Captain JP and one by the legendary Kyle Baird! If we could get Todd Morgan to spill some beer on it, then all would be right with the universe.

I will gladly sign the sheet for anyone that actually reads it, however, Todd will not spill beer on it. Not a single drop ever misses Todd's lips.

edit: Legendary? Probably not. I would stick with "infamous." :-)
