@Xochitl Where do the rugged hull and society shepherd boons come from?
@Haan same question for Society Rebuilder
(and what do they do?)

![]() |

Both Rugged Hull and Society Shepherd are from Second Seekers. Society Shepherd won't exactly do anything for me here, but I leave it slotted so I don't forget to slot it.
Rugged Hull: Your starship includes retrieved pieces of old Starfinder starship hulls. These hull sections have survived countless battles and clearly have some strange luck around them.
--Benefit: Increase the critical threshold (CT) of your starship by an amount equal to your current Reputation Tier with the Second Seekers (Luwazi Elsebo) faction.
---Special: A starship can only benefit from one copy of this Starship boon at a time.
Society Shepherd: You work to rebuild the Starfinder Society from the brink of disaster by recruiting new agents.
--Benefit: If you brought a new player—a player without a Starfinder Society character or playing their first Starfinder Society session—you earn 1 additional Fame and 1 additional Reputation with the Second Seekers (Luwazi Elsebo) faction.
--Special: You can benefit from this boon only a number of times equal to your current Reputation Tier with the Second Seekers (Luwazi Elsebo) faction. Each time you fulfill the requirements of this boon, mark it on your Chronicle sheet along with the associated Reputation Tier. Have the GM sign beside this notation.

Society Rebuilder is Gen Con 2017 Boon #5 and does the following:
Benefit: Anytime you play in a scenario that grants additional Reputation with a faction that you do not posses the champion Faction boon for (Such as Dataphile Champion or Wayfinders Champion), you can cross this boon of your Chronicle sheet to earn that Faction boon without having to pay the requiste 2 fame.

Almost time to confirm boons. As a matter of interest, if anyone has the AbadarCorp Annoyance boon, that would be a good one to slot for this scenario.

![]() |

I usually prefer ships with heavier firepower as compared to maneuverability, reasoning being that no matter how maneuverable the ship it, combat can only be resolved by damaged caused.
On a related topic, Mnamae-6 is rather versatile for starship combat. He prefers engineering or science (both +10) but can also function for gunnary (+4).

![]() |

Xochitl historically has filled in as an extra gunner or a captain.
As for ship, we are trying to be unassuming, so wouldn't maneuverability be better?
Granted if we were forced to fight, blowing the opponent up quickly would prevent them from radioing someone about us...

![]() |

Ella can serve as a science or engineering officer (+7s). Probably gunner as a last resort (+3).
I am currently travelling for a few weeks, but I should be able to post.
This does seem more like an infiltration job, where speed and maneuverability would be more useful.

![]() |

Aerondor, for my trick attacks, I added my stealth bonus +1 based on the newly released FAQ (16+1). Ok to lump them together in my post or do you want to see them separate?

![]() |

Generally I like seeing situational bonuses called out, but if it is a permanent part of your stealth bonus then there is no need for that. In this case the +1 for trick shot is a basic part of your build and not situational so that is fine.
Can you give me a breakdown of the +16 basic stealth?

![]() |

I'm on my tablet and I can't copy my icon into the slides. Could someone help me there? Ella is hugging the southern wall, about midway up the arena.

Ahh, the racial was the bit I was missing.
Speaking of Race..
@Haan, how did you get to be a Haan?

![]() |

I got the Haan boon by GMing starfinder at GenCon 50 last year. Photo of the Boon

![]() |

Sorry would be away for a short vacation til 18 Mar, Sun. Still have access to Internet but posting might be slow. Please bot where necessary.

![]() |

Up to you all which you would prefer to do, if I can get two votes for the same challenge we'll go with that.

![]() |

I'm thinking you went Pegaus, but if you wanted a drake there is no worries with that.

This is the final battle, and as this is an Outpost game I think we quality for boons. I'll roll them using the initiative block at the top of the page. Winners on a 1 or 20.

LA64359, I'm going to need your organised play related email address to include in the reporting!

Thanks.
which boon?: 1d2 ⇒ 2
Sounds like LA has been hanging out with some pirates...

![]() |

Is no one going to take the captain role? I know it is not really necessary, but just wondering.
Anyway, if that's the case, then there's an extra. Mnamae-6 is quite flexible, being able to do science (+10), engineering (+10) or gunnery (+4). So in rounds where we can have three gunners, i.e. when the two enemy ships are in different arcs, he'll join the gunners (one turret, and 2 diff arc weapons). Otherwise, he'll help out with engineering or science.
And I recommend the two +1 computer bonuses go to the two gunners by default, since I feel in space combat, it matters most whether we hit or not. :)

![]() |

Totally up to you all. I tend to think having the bonus on pilot checks is real important, as if you do that right you can end up (if you know the other ships abilties) where they can't fire on you, or facing areas of their ships without shields. But each strategy has its advantages.

![]() |

I agree with Mnamae-6 - hitting is better at the moment. We could do +1 to pilot and +1 to the main (4d6) gun as well though. I am good either way.
Not sure we have anyone who can hit mod-high DCs as a captain. More hitting is better anyway. :D

![]() |

I'll fire a gun this round since the shields are restored.
Gunner check = BAB or Pilot ranks + Dex bonus, correct?

![]() |

Haan, are you adding your dex to your attack roll? You should be BAB+DEX bonus+1 (for ship). That should be +6 at least, right?

![]() |

Haan's attack rolls in this battle have been..
4,1,17(!!!), 11,2 and 6.
Two out of six are double digits, that is really only one below average.

![]() |

I am open to suggestions on what to do for this round.
I am okay skipping and getting to the next round too.

![]() |

I know space combat is not everyone's cup of tea, and I think I'm just about ready to call this one. The blue fighter is one hit off being disabled and has so much damage at this time the crew would probably be returning to the station in reality. The Pegasus is essentially at full strength and with a single fighter you can pretty much always restore any shield damage you take in a round.
However some folk love space combat. So time for a quick question about whether to fly a couple more passes or call this combat now.
