Bah. I'll be honest, I forgot that one was prone. You're right, I'll eat the AoO's on it - go ahead and post your R2 actions.

The conduit Sapper target's is no longer operating correctly after his bomb explodes, wire's sparking with middle of the transport completely destroyed.

Katswiri misses her target, their superior agility clearly demonstrated in their faints. Muroi last a blast of concentrated cold air on the prone Arodeth. Her body freezes in place and once it thaws a few seconds later, her head falls to the ground unconscious. Yellow is down!

"Hai!" Tsadok points to the left and makes a circle motion pointing back around to the other side of the center conduits, turning himself and moving to put himself in position to help the others. Hope this is a good idea

As the cat comes around the back of the conduits drawing the clones atttention, Tsadok attacks.

Have I blasted the only conduits or are there more?

Sovereign Court

As Pathfinders defeat the furious simulacra, they disperse into foul mist that screams in anger before fading away entirely. Nearby, the true Lady Arodeth seems shaken by the destruction of her miasmic doppelgangers, and their deaths seem to sap her of her zealous rage.

Table GMs, this is Code Green. Code Green is in effect.

TG1 | FF

Tsadok'ul and Pea'nut bring down the second Lady Aroteth, leaving only the one remaining. As she turns to finish off Kharina however it appears that Sapper's bomb seems to have interfered with the true Lady Arodeths's connection to the simulacra as it fades away until it has disappeared completely as the machine begins to smoke and flames spark up in both of the large devices.

Kreighton Shane looks up to you from the floor. "Well done, well done. I have good news and bad news. The good news is that there may be other anchors around here, but I think the other teams may be handling them. The bad news is that I've seen this machine repair itself, it has something to do with the temporal disturbances reverting it back to a working condition. The worse news is, at some point, someone is going to have to face the last and most important anchor... the leader of the Harbingers of Fate. Do you think you're ready to face the Vault and Lady Arodeth? We are almost out of time."

"She is likely well guarded by either accomplices or divination magic." Kreighton looks concerned... "As for where she is, it must be the vault. We built the complex that contains the vault beneath the Bloodwatered Meadow to protect the Sky Key and support its auxiliary machinery. Fortunately, you've helped us discover where it lies in this time, so we can proceed with our search for her. Help me to my fight, I shall accompany you on this journey."

Assuming you say yes, so I'm moving you on to next room, take any actions you wish to heal yourselves or prepare and notate them as necessary.

Heavy walls and strange panels in this room all focus on the strange orrery in its center. Raised on a small dais, and separated from the rest of the room by a wide trench, the device oozes a thick, emerald light. The air smells of ozone, like standing amid a roaring thunderstorm.

The Sky Key is in the center of the room on the table. The dark area around it is a 20' chasm with water at the bottom. There are ladders on both sides of the chasm which lead back out to the main area.

In the center of the room, standing on top of the dais, is a glowing green woman in a trance. Floating in the air around her are a bunch of crystalline balls, each depicting visions of her glowing green anchors and the Pathfinder groups wandering through the Azlanti city of Lacsuhnollo. Lady Arodeth has a wand in her hand, which she lowers as she opens her eyes. “I’ve been wondering who they would send in to face me.” Her tone is conversational. “The Society’s most potent mages? Their best warriors? Their most learned scholars? No... They sent you.”

She raises an eyebrow as she looks to Kreighton Shaine. “Well-played, Master of Scrolls. You’re cannier than I thought. You did not send your most powerful agents. You sent the most merciful.” She studies you, intently. “How do feel, being the Society’s sacrificial lambs? Under other circumstances, I would have tried to recruit you. Most of you are strong in conviction, brilliant in the arcane arts.” She looks sad. “You could help me create a new world, one in which fate and prophecy matter. One where one can follow one’s destiny. A world that makes sense.”

She looks at you, hopefully, with raised eyebrows.

Not in initiative yet. We can do this through combat or you can attempt it socially as well, though the path is not simple. Let's see what you've got!

Kharina looked at the crazy woman and considered her words, it was oddly amusing that Arodeth wanted to bring order by creating chaos. She laughed then, "You know, this is really funny, you want to bring about order? did you really think that you could do it by changing the past? Think about this, how can order come from a complete perversion of everything? Let's think this through Arodeth, you want to change the past to make the future orderly but if the future was orderly then why would you have come back to change it in the first place? This makes me think that you can't possibly succeed because if you were able to you wouldn't be here now to accomplish your goal. What you're doing is less likely to bring order and more likely to cause complete and utter chaos!" Kharina's eyes had begun to light with an almost maniacal fervor at the thought of the sheer volume of chaos that would result from this. She found it quite arousing actually, "I'm sure that my patron would be delighted at what comes from your playing around with time. The entire Abyss will enjoy the smorgasbord of chaos that is going to resonate from this point forward so please, go right ahead and keep on with your madness, I'm going to enjoy seeing just how badly everything is screwed up when we get back."

Will it benefit us if I blow something up? Is there a central distributor or something that would be good to blow into little bits?

TG1 | FF

Alright, you've notched one, you need several more.

Arodeth doesn't respond to Kharina's words, though they give her pause and she seems to be thinking about the words from the cleric.

Can't use Engineering here, sorry Sapper. You'll need to hold on your destruction for a moment. You can use Bluff, Diplomacy, Heal, Knowledge (history, nobility, or religion), Perform (any), Profession (any), and Sense Motive. A PC cannot use the same skill more than once, though other PCs can use that skill.

Katswiri quickly uses Tsadok's wand to heal the crushed bruises both Kharina and Pea'nut have taken from the Simulacra before following the group down to where Arodeth awaits.

Katswiri shifts uncomfortably as Kharina appears to delight in the possible unraveling of more or less everything. She cannot see Arodeth well enough to understand her, so only has the words of her companions to go on. Still, talking is better than fighting, although as Lady Arodeth is not responding, Katswiri is as of yet uncertain if this is a real conversation or a last, desperate taunt before battle.

CLW (Pea'nut): 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
CLW (Kharina): 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

I think that is everyone? Is anyone else hurt?

Sovereign Court

The asteroid looms impossibly large overhead, and the air grows stiflingly hot as the world itself begins to rumble. High overhead, the dome of green energy shudders, twists, and finally shatters, and Pathfinders’ bodies begin melting into flowing particles as the world slips away.

Just as quickly, you stumble as Bloodwatered Meadow coalesces beneath your feet, as it does for countless other Society agents. The wildflowers bob lazily in the wind, and nothing but a few still bodies stand as testament to the bloodshed and struggle of the past five hours. Kreighton Shaine, looking several years older, staggers to his feet and gives a nervous chuckle before climbing up a small knoll and waving his arms for the crowd’s attention.

“What we have all witnessed here today has been a remarkably journey that included sights no living soul on Golarion has witnessed. The Sky Key has allowed us to walk among the serpentfolk and Azlanti, gazing upon several of the greatest events to shape Golarion and the region that would one day become the Inner Sea. Let the catastrophe that we witnessed and narrowly escaped humble us and teach us so that we might find value in preserving the messages and wisdom those lost people may have left behind for us to discover. I think we all have some responsibility to remember those who passed so that our modern world can exist.

“You have all observed great things and have notes to share. This much is certain. But for now, let us… let us simply take a few days to reflect. The Society, I imagine, will send agents to collect your notes and interview you about your experiences. Until then, find your families and loved ones, as I know I shall. Failing that, find some passion that ties you to the here and now, and embrace it.

“We survived, Pathfinders. I am proud of your Unrivaled Accomplishment!”

Congrats everyone. The stakes haven't been higher for a PbP Special, but everyone rose to the occasion. I've been watching the successes come in on the Google form and it's been exciting watching you inch closer and closer to the goal! There have certainly been some super tables out there, but it's fairly clear that everyone has been working hard and contributing to the group success. I'm super proud of you guys.

At this point, you have a chance to perform Downtime activity and roll for boons. Because the house earned an Unrivaled Accomplishment, everyone gets their Secondary Success Condition.

I'd like to send a big thank you to all of the players for participating in this event, and a big thank you to all the GMs who ran this. Running and playing in the Play-by-Post specials are a lot of work in a short time, and you rose to the challenge.

If you have any feedback about how this was run at all, please either email me at jmcteague@pathfindersocietyonline.com, or email Jesse at jesse@pathfindersocietyonline.com

greatly relieved when everything shifted and they were back in the field they'd started in Kharina still felt a flash of disappointment that she didn't get to see the chaos the foolish woman's efforts would have caused. She looked at Katswiri a moment, particularly since she couldn't figure out what happened to Daisy. she approached the deaf woman and gave her an inviting smile as she said, "So, now that the job is finished with, how would you like to go have some fun. I think a little rest and debauchery is exactly what I need after that. Would you join me?" She held a hand out to the woman and waited for a reply...

Katswiri props herself up from her place on the ground, eyes blinking as the energy fades away and it becomes apparent that they are all safely back in their own time. She is smiling broadly with relief and happiness at the wondrous adventure they have just returned from. "Oh! Kharina, everyone, we're back safe! That was so amazing! My first mission for the pathfinder society, and I'm going to remember this forever." She gives Kharina an appraising smile that deepens into something more appreciative. "You know what? We've all been fighting for our lives, together across time. Let's get a drink with eveyone, and we'll see where it goes from there, shall we?"

Time for the fun stuff! Boons – we have them. At the end of a session, a d20 is rolled for each player at the table. On a 20 or a 16, that player has earned one of our amazing boons! A d6 is then rolled to determine which boon they get access to. Let's rock and roll, shall we?

Boon stuff!:

Boon Kharina?: 1d20 ⇒ 16 WINNER WINNER!
Boon Katswiri?: 1d20 ⇒ 5
Boon Muroi?: 1d20 ⇒ 11
Boon Sapper?: 1d20 ⇒ 3
Boon Tsadok'ul?: 1d20 ⇒ 20 WINNER WINNER!

Congrats Tsadok'ul you've won ... 1d6 ⇒ 4 "Player Boon #4: I hear you’re going to the elemental planes soon…"

Congrats Kharina you've won ... 1d6 ⇒ 1 "Player Boon #1: Sajan looks awesome in Horror Adventures"

The details of the boon have not been revealed to me yet, but I'll submit it on the sheet and you should get an email with the boon details! I've started working on the Chronicle sheets, will finish them and email them out either tonight or tomorrow morning.
