The silverhide archers continue firing on the Six from the archways into the temple!

Hearing the twang of bows, Feral doubles back with savage speed. As he dashes up the stairs and back toward the entry way, his mace clatters to the floor as Drosil's dagger springs into his hand. Rushing up to the nearest of the wolves, he leans in close and growls, "You should have welcomed me when you had the chance, whelp!"

B'yelka starts again; this time moving down the stairs so she is out of sight of the archers.

The air is knocked out of Anton's lungs as an arrow slams into him from behind. He quickly reaches up and yanks it out with a grunt before stepping behind cover and launching his own volley in return. He then calls on Desna in this holy place to heal his wounds.

As the werewolf fires his volley of arrows at Anton, he ducks his head back behind the pillar and hears them clatter harmlessly against the stone. He leans back out and returns fire, determined to finish this blasted wolf once and for all. His first two arrows take the lycanthrope in the forehead, and it drops to the ground, limp. His third arrows takes the wolf in front of Drosil, while the fourth ricochets off a wall.

Drosil, with the aid of B'yelka's haste, avoids the arrows fired at him. He does not, however, rest easily with that security; he steps forward and brings his mithral blade to bear once more. A single slash across the archer's throat sends her toppling to the grass where she quickly bleeds out.

Janos whips his sword around in a frenzy of attacks at the werewolf in front of him. He only hits the beast once in his haste, but leaves a nasty gash in the were's hide.

Feral follows his archer, a bright gleam in his eye as he pivots around each of the arrows. Grinning hungrily, he shakes his head and wags one long, clawed finger at his opponent. "Ah ah ah. Feral howls with delight as the remaining silverhide dashes off into the tree line. "Ah ha ha ha! RUN, PUP!" He then looks at the flensed remains of the wolf at his feet and pulls one clawed hand up to his cheek, ready to plunge it into the wolf's chest and rip out its heart. Feral turns to regard his allies though and the hungry, lusty light fades from his eyes and his hand lowers slowly to his side. He flashes a wide grin and shrugs helplessly before loping along in the direction Anton suggests.
"Ohhhh Maaaathus! Where are you! Come welcome a new member of your pack, Mathus!"

The small iron portcullis that once blocked the entrance to this room has been bent to the side, allowing access to what lies beyond. The chamber might once have been some sort of private quarters, though no furnishings remain. Dirt and dust across lie tracked across the floor, and the pungent stench of rot ebbs from the room.

Perception DC 14:
There are numerous tracks of humans, wolves, and hybrid werewolves. The smell of rot comes from a human corpse lying in a crumpled heap in the corner.

Corpse:
A search of the corpse reveals a plain iron ring etched with strange symbols still wrapped around her pallid finger. The body also clutches a leather satchel containing a number of onyx gemstones ranging in value from 50 to 200 gp each. In total, these gemstones are worth 1,000 gp. Lastly, the corpse carries a map of Ustalav with several coordinates scrawled on the back.

This room may once have served as some sort of private quarters. Only a few pieces of rusted metal furniture remain, the rest having long rotted away. The dirt has been swept clear from most of the floor, exposing the flagstones beneath.

DC 16 Perception:
Several stones in the north corner seem to
be out of place. The stones can be easily removed, revealing a crude, short passage.

B'yelka holds her gloved hand in front of her nose near the doorway providing the malodorous ambiance: "Oh, we don't have to go through there do we?"

Examining the next room is better. She sees the misplaced stones and muses aloud, "I wonder if this was to seal in malcontents?" She seems almost disappointed when the passageway behind is revealed.

Take ten on the Perception to find the ill concealed passage, but she aint touching the rotten corpse!


As soon as B'yelka enters the room on the right, she sets off a well concealed magical trap.

Everyone within 60' (which is prolly everyone) please give me a DC 19 Fort save.

Crossing the threshold, unleashes a wave of stinging energy. However, with her long hours of training, it seems more an annoyance than anything else. The errant self-blame finds it's way out of her thoughts and she shifts to genuine concern, "What was that? Is everyone ok?"

"Oh, Gods." Drosil barely keeps himself from screaming in pain, but his entire body contorts as it reacts, attempting to curl itself into a defensive ball. When his brain catches up and realizes what has happened, however, he stands straighter and merely grits his teeth against the pain.

Anton grits his teeth as the wave crashes over him. He feels a terrible, screaming agony in his head that feels like broken glass in his skull. The pain drives him to a knee but mercifully, after a moment, it passes.

Janos is in the other room inspecting the corpse when the wave of stinging energy hit him. "What the hell was that?" He stands up, wiping some grime from his face and checking to see if everything seems alright. He brings the ring, satchel with gemstones, and the map into the other room.

"Is everyone alright?" He lays out what he's found on the corpse. "A body back there with some gemstones on it. Plus a ring with etchings and a map of Ustalav." He passes the ring to Feral to examine while studying the map.

Sorry, distracted by illness, injury, broken sinks and gaming.

A partition of iron bars divides this chamber. To one side, rows of shelves lined with bottles and beakers filled with strange fluids and jars containing powdered reagents and herbs surround a long stone surgical table. Another shelf holds a selection of tarnished surgical tools. On the far side of the bars, a 10-foot-deep pit sits in the floor of a crudely chiseled cave. Rusted manacles lie scattered about the floor near the edge of the pit. Estovian crouches at the far side of the pit, madness in his eyes.

"You again! Grah!" he shouts angrily at the sight of the Six.

Seeing Estovian cornered, Feral looses a harsh, throaty chuckle and bounds forward, grabbing the bar near the pit with his left hand and leaping over the large hole with savage glee. His momentum swings him around and the hulking werewolf lands next to the cowering warden. With a predatory gleam in his eyes, Feral leans down and brings his face near to the warden's before his other hand spears forward and grips him by the throat.

"Hah hah hahhhh. Look who it is. Hello, Estovian. You heard Janos. Where's Mathus?" He growls the question, his words gravelly and impatient.

Drosil does not necessarily trust that Estovian is a prisoner, but he does not believe that he is necessarily in control of his faculties. "Estovian; what happened after we separated? Were you captured? Why this hostility?"

Action:
At the moment, Drosil isn't convinced that Estovian is the real enemy; he will be attempting to determine if there's another enemy out there. If Estovian attacks or otherwise continues to be hostile, Drosil will let Feral take the lead on that; Drosil's attention will largely be focused on paths into this area, unless Estovian shows some particular heretofore unknown ability (such as spellcasting, lycanthropy, etc.).
