Sog what day to start on? Spoilers

I'm GMing SoG for our group and we are just starting the 3rd book No Breath to Cry and I don't know what day I should be starting on. The end of the 2nd book tells you to end its content on the last day of fall that way the next book can start on the first day of winter. Then reading the 3rd book it looks like the first day of winter is in the middle of the book 21 days later? Am I the only one that ran into this or am I missing something? Thank you! I really hope I didn't just read it wrong! :S

later books basically switch to a lunarsolar calendar, which arguably is more fitting. Presumably there was a mis- or non-communication about which way they were counting seasons between the book authors.

I basically did Book 1 as 31st Desnus / 1st Sarenith through to 31 Arodus, Book 2 is 1st Rova to 30th Neth, Book 3 as 1st Kuthona through to Lunar New Year, and Book 4 as Lunar New Year onwards - but also played up that there's festivals and holidays on both the lunarsolar and civilian seasonal dates.
