Hi, this might be a bit of an out there request, but I'm looking into finding an RPG group for my son (recently became 8 years old). He's an active kid who is really into gaming (video and board games alike), making stories, ...
We've tried some of the more typical social activities (group outings, sports, ...) but it feels to us that it never really works out.
Having a background in gaming (tabletop RPGs, LARPs, board games, video games, ...) and not having had an extensive social life outside of that, we figured it might be time to see if we could find a group of like-minded kids and a fun RPG system for them to make fun stories (and possibly friendships) in.
I've played several systems in the past, and although it might have a bunch of rules, I've always found the pathfinder systems (1 & 2) to be very fun to play and make characters in. Hence why I also came to this forum (after a long absence).
I'd be willing to step up as the GM for this group of would-be little adventurers, but if any one else feels the calling I'd be ok to let them take a swing at it :)
We're in CET timezone (UTC+1) for it it's relevant.
Looking for any help/tips :
- if you know of any people/discords/groups that do something like this
- if you have tips on what game system would be a good start
- if you are a parent and think your kid(s) would be willing to give this a try
- ...

Unfortutlly the General section of the Online Campaign section is hardly used. The active parts of the Online Campaign forums is the Recruitment section.
At the top of the recruitment section are the Play-By-Post Lodges for both editions of Pathfinder and Starfinder. Asking a question in the Discussion sections of the lodge of the game you're interested in would be the best place to ask about finding Play-By-Post games run on the Paizo forums.
The event section of the organized play forums lists online events for multiple formats.
Events
The local Pathfinder/Starfinder Society organized play group where I live, some parents bring their kids to the games to play. Organized play is desgined ot be friendly for people of all ages.
There are many Discord groups for Paizo games. There are too many to keep up with, so I stopped using them other than our local stores' Discord. Some of the event listings I linked to will point you to them.
