My solarian player and I were discussing how shield block and nimbus ward would interact. While nimbus block says your solar nimbus bolsters your shield, I’m not sure the resistances granted would protect the shield and solarian or just the solarian.
That thread would indicate the shield is not offered additional protection at all (or that the resistances aren’t granted until after they would effect damage dealt, since they are triggered by the shield block itself). It feels a little off like that isn’t the RAI for nimbus block, but that might just be personal bias on my part.
My player and I wanted to see if anyone had other thoughts or knew a ruling we’re unaware of.
