How will a glamer projector work in the upgrade slot if mid fanatic android? Does the android need any armor for this upgrade or they can "make" any fake armor or clothes without another armor? It is important to know because characters start an adventure without their equipment.
I would allow it to work as long as the android is wearing clothes of any form. It would change the clothes to look like different clothes or an armor type that the glamer projector supports. It would still have no effect on the stats of the clothing worn.
No Armor is a type of armor. And if you go to Pathfinder for additional precedents, Explorer's Clothing is also a type of armor.
