I've been having some problems finding online games. I'm looking for a Starfinder 2e game/group that my son and I could join. We currently play Pathfinder 2e together and are familiar with Foundry but our current group doesn't really have capacity for SF2E as well (no time in the schedule for most of the others).
Trying to follow the advice in the Invasions Edge pdf and there aren't any games on Warhorn or Meetup currently listed that are available (there's one on Aug 26th that has room for 1 player), pfschat.com doesn't seem to work and can't seem to find it on discord (maybe I doing it wrong?). Is there some advice on finding people to play with that might work better than the advice in the PDF?
Alternatively I can always try to GM it myself a find a few people but I was hoping to play at least enough to learn the new features of SF2E from PF2E a little better before I jump into GMing.

Heyas!
I just checked and the PFSchat link is definitely working, if you try clicking this link that should open discord and take you there!
Overall it’s probably true that you’re going to find it a little harder to find games immediately, the system has only been out for a few days and many GMs area still reading the rules, let alone setting up virtual tabletops (we also do have to wait a little for some of the tools used to make that easier on GMs to be updated as well in some cases).
I expect we’ll see a lot more games over the coming weeks as people learn the rules a get things set up, give us a shout on the discord and we’ll try and find you some Society games! You can also click on my name in this post to go to my profile which has links to all our virtual tabletop and play by post locations for Society, hope that helps!

Yeah, it may take a little bit before things get FULLY online. I don't think SF2e for Foundry has been released yet.
In the meantime, if you're not averse to play-by-discord, Cayden's Keg (mentioned above) is a good choice. Also Find the Path (https://discord.gg/findthepath) and Cosmic Crittermander (https://discord.gg/eY7sCvfR). The latter will be deeply focused on SF2e, with Crittercon coming next month. They aren't taking registrations yet, GM signups are going until next week, so I don't know what will be offered there.

Games will start rapidly popping up in a few days, I am sure. With the launch date less than a week ago, most GMs are still catching up on the rules and waiting for VTTs to finish developing their new modules.
Play By Post games are being advertised at all of the Lodges, though, and more to come as people get comfortable with the new system.
