Where's the Holomog love?

Pathfinder Second Edition General Discussion

My husband and I have been doing a campaign between the two of us set in Holomog for the past several months. The lore on Holomog, not to mention the map inclusion, is pretty sparse, but thanks to his creativity and our mutual love of roleplay, it's quickly become one of our favorite story arcs that we've EVER done. We made up an Enyana family curse tied to the ancestors which gave us reason to jaunt into Heaven's library for research all the while uncovering a high-up Geb spy in Anuli.

So where's the Holoma love, Paizo?

The Celestial Concordat is RIGHT THERE as are the questions of goodness and whether goodness is stale or can be complicated in its own right. Most of the Holomog official material exists in relationship to Geb (its neighbor) but it has its own appeal with ancestors and family and Mazludeh especially. The Ganzi especially could be given their due here and the concept of the omwas is a heretofore unexplored one. Things don't have to be evil or dark to have value in a TTRPG setting and with Holomog, therein lies excellent opportunities for spycraft, competing ideas of goodness or holiness (especially across the three celestial planes) and the opportunity to expand on your culinary buff options with truly phenomenal food.

But I invite others to traverse and make up their own stories in Holomog in the meantime. I just like lore. :)

I remember reading the entry in Distant Lands and it was a transparently sexist society being puppeted by unknown fiendish forces with a false celestial front. When I see an oppressive patriarchy I know to look for Asmodeus, I was interested to see where they were going with the matriarchy side of things, but they seem to have dropped the villain reveal.

Holomog's chapter in Distant Shores and backmatter article in Blood Lords are still more than most other places outside the Inner Sea have enjoyed :)

The southern two thirds of Garund, Casmaron, and Arcadia are all ripe for the treatment Tian Xia got last year. I'd be delighted to hear such a thing anounced at Gen Con.
