They broke many rules and there were re-shoots/re-edits to fix others we didn't see. I get that creative efforts are inherently risky but when they spend $100's of millions it sure seems the basics ought to be covered well.
Hollywood hasn't just left $billions on the table with these types of moves, they've effectively taken as much or more from theater owners by driving business, especially repeat business, down. The studios deserve the social media grief they've been getting this last half-decade for sure.
