Look at it this way, Atrius: you got gold for your troubles. So, as you rise in levels, you'll be ahead of the curve on being able to afford equipment. That's a nice perq.
And yes, William, that was a terrific line. (For those who weren't there on Saturday: Clinton Boomer was playing the BBEG, who had stolen a piece of MacGuffinite which the horde of PCs needed in order to foil the BBEG's plans. Said plans involved delivering captured souls to some Dark Power. Other PCs engaged Boomer's villain in a combat, which he was winning easily, while one enterprising player used the combat as a distraction to steal away with the MacGuffinite. That's when one of the other GMs (Yoda?) rose up and stood on one of the other tables (thus making sure the Interactive was, even at its climax, a table-top RPG) as the Dark Power and, well, had his way with the BBEG.)

My group might not have won, but at least I had the best line...
"Your pocket was picked by a cleric!"
Great job, guys! See you next year.
That was a funny moment and perhaps the best moment of the ending section.
In general the interactive was great, especially running around the hotels and after the fire alarm.

The fact that the interactive continued almost completely unphased not only after, but DURING the fire evacuation was the high point for me. It was incredible to see teams of Pathfinders with their team signs coming out to the lawn, seeing Daigle and Tim and getting their next clue, then sitting down on the grass and continuing with the game.
I want to give a huge shout out to Daigle and Tim for designing and coordinating such a massive and entertaining operation. I was happy to have been a part of it both nights, even with the logistical hiccups and fire alarm. Getting to take Boomer's soul as a result of the Pathfinders' successful completion of their end of my infernal contract was also great fun. I could have lived with less Nick Logue asscrack on Friday night though, but him and Greg Vaughan breaking the table that night was classic.
Overall, the interactive, especially Saturday night's version, was the high point of the convention for me.

STOUT POWER !!
Hells yes, my stunty friend! STOUT POWAH!
Even though I was technically not a stunty.. Despite out attempts to finish out the section of the scenario rolling dice on my notebook as we stood outside the Convention Center while firefighters searched for the non-existant fire, we still came in third. Oh well.
I too wish we had at least gotten and experience point for the scenario. Fantastic end to the convention for me though.

I cannot wait till GRONK IRONFIST will return to foil the Pithfinders in their missions.
Spike fights rule!
You, Lora, Skyler and Angus MADE that encounter. You guys rocked that thing out like I'd never imagine it could be done. Thank y'all for making that a true highlight of the event for me!
Also, thank everyone who helped us with this monster. I admit I screwed up on Friday night, and for that I apologize to everyone, players and GMs alike. Truly.
However, we dusted ourselves off and did some last minute tweaking during the day on Saturday and pulled off what I think was damned close to a perfect event on Saturday night, even with a full evacuation of the convention center. Again, GMs and players alike...I'd like to thank you all for your quick thinking and awesome ability to adapt to a crazy monkey wrench like that. All those other folks out on the lawn looked envious that while their games were interrupted, our amazing crew carried on towards victory. Well freaking done all around! And yeah, a cleric pick pocketing Boomer/Raksasha was classic. How cool is that? Whoever you are, find me next year. I owe you a beverage of your choice.
Thanks again everyone. This was not only a highlight of this GenCon, but a highlight of all the cons I've attended.
