This week we tackle a subject I've waited two years to take on. Spoilers for the movie Nope within!

Ooh! Making a stat block for Jean Jacket has been on my to-do list since I first saw the movie! I like how many different mechanics are cross-referenced in this write-up, as it makes it clear you know the system really well! I'm surprised you didn't do anything with JJ's "final form," though. Would that be better represented by a seperate stat block, or just swapping some abilities?

Thanks!!!
It's an interesting question. I don't see the 'final form' as being a different stat block so much as a change in behavior. JJ is a terrifying predator, but while canny, it's not that smart. So, presented with something it mistakes as another of it's kind in its territory, JJ goes for a threat display (makes itself as big as it can) as it confronts the 'intruder'. That's not so much a different creature as clever players fooling the monster into an action that doesn't threaten them.
