Weapon Rune / Scaling Confusion

Playtest General Discussion

I'd like to preface this post by saying that I'm new to Pathfinder 2e and Starfinder as a whole, so I apologize if this is a dumb question or has a super simple answer that I overlooked.

Am I reading something wrong, or is there no equivalent to Foundational / Striking runes in Starfinder 2e? I know that runes can be applied to archaic, analogue weapons but how do I increase the damage and accuracy of the more advanced weaponry? I know that there are weapon mods that somewhat act like property runes, but I'm not sure how I'm supposed to increase my character's weapon damage as I level up higher. Am I missing something?

You're all good. What you're looking for are weapon improvements. They function exactly like fundamental runes, and appear at the same levels, but are technological rather than magical.

You should find a table that shows you the level you get them at on p. 182.

Awesome, thanks I don't know how I missed that.
