Pregenerated Characters for A Cosmic Birthday on Demiplane

Hi!

As you may know, Demiplane is making Starfinder 2e play test materials available. My players and I are close to starting the adventure. We will be making our own PCs, but we are examining the pregenerated characters. These characters do not seem to be in the module itself, but Demiplane staff said they got the character details from Paizo.

The operative character (android, Iseph) appears to have more gear than the character can afford (with 150 credits to start). Essentially, the character has a force field AND dermal plating. After some reading I see the force field is probably a result of the Mod Fanatic android heritage, but I am still at a loss to understand the dermal plating.

Does anyone see how this character's equipment is possible? If it is a mistake then no big deal, but if it is legal then we just want to understand the mechanics.

It seems like a mistake. If they had the cyberborn background instead of hacker, they would get the augmented body feat which lets you pick a level 1 augmentation for free so that would be a way to get dermal plating.

Iseph also seems to have the two augments in the pregen download that's on Paizo's website, so if its an error its on Paizo and not Demiplane.
