I am running Menace under Otari virtually for some old friends with lots of roleplaying experience but new to Pathfinder. It has been great so far! They have reached room 14, the Elements of Chaos and defeated the cinder rat. Then looking at the map and seeing an obvious place to put the orbs, they took the orb of Air and put it in the central dais. There is no background about what this room was originally for. I loved their originality so ran with it. They found themselves consumed within a mystical whirlwind of energy that took them...and that is where I left it. I wanted to create a bit of a cliffhanger and I also need time to create an adventure for them. Did they go to the elemental plane of air? What would that be like? Where else could they have gone or what might have happened. I would love any ideas you all would be willing to share.

Perhaps it'd be thematic for them to be whisked away at terrifying speed to an isolated, mist-shrouded mountaintop in Tian Xia, coincidentally not particularly far from the residence of a wise hermit.. but that sort of travel seems a bit powerful to just be lurking underneath the humble village of Otari. :D

Thanks for the idea. I was considering running "Fists of the Ruby Phoenix" after the party completes Menace Under Otari and Abomination Vaults so that may provide a good tie in. Maybe it's a vision they experience of the future? If I go that way I'll need to do some reading.
I like your idea. Have to think about it. Don't want to derail things too much but some foreshadowing of a future adventure would be fun.
