Chime-Ringer vs Marshal for Champion Class

Advice

Scarab Sages

I'm working on a new PC Champion for Stolen Fate (Free Archetypes Allowed) and I was wondering which archetype would work better for a defensive front-liner (Redeemer) and/or an offensive front-liner (Tyrant).

All feedbacks are appreciated in advance.

Thanks!

chime-ringer is problematic as it has only a lvl 4 feat, next one is lvl 10 - you would have to talk to your DM about the "two other feats" rule.

marshal is a great archetype, made for charisma melee classes like champion, thaumaturge etc.
If you have a bard in your group you should coordinate, but otherwise the to hit bonus is really nice to have.

I suppose, in theory, I could Skip Fleet Tempo and take Chime-Ringer at level 6 or 8 to take the rest of its feat.

Yeah. Marshall actually has two great level 4 feats (Inspiring Stance and Snap out of it!) and champion feats aren't incredible before level 6, so you might as well snag both of those and then decide about taking Chime Ringer when you hit level 6. (You might very well decide to skip it. Marshall is chalk full of good feats.)
