Hello fellow Blood Lords and GMs,
I am trying to help my GM out by doing a little legwork on working in some of my PCs backstory, so I have come here to see if I can get some possible suggestions that I can send GMs way without spoiling anything for myself.
We are just getting started with Blood Lords and I am playing a skeleton summoner character with an anger phantom eidolon. In life, my PC was a powerful necromancer and one of the original 60 Blood Lords. They performed a profane ritual that, in the event of their untimely death, would allow them to rise again, undead.
At some point, they were betrayed by another political player hoping to gain their seat as Blood Lord or whatever other reason. Their protective reanimation ritual gets botched and now the skeleton, not the consciousness of the necromancer, seem to hold the control and power. The skeleton has no memories and is a blank slate, the phantom retains all memories of their life as a necromancer.
My question for those that have played or GMed the adventure:
Is there any relevant NPC from the adventure that could fill the role of this betrayer? Anyone that might still be around from the old days of the original blood lords that could fit the description (or a different but reasonably similar one)? If you can think of any, give me the NPC name and what book they are from and I will float it my GMs way.
