Strength damage to Spined Shield attacks?

Spined shield spines are based on armor spikes. Since armor spikes typically get your strength attribute to damage, does that mean the fired spines do as well?

Nope, the important bit for why is the following: "it is a martial ranged weapon with a range increment of 120 feet"

You'd reference the general Ranged Weapon Rules as they relate to a Weapon with the stats of the Shield Spike and since they lack anything like a Propulsive Trait or anything they'd be flat dice.
