Can I use Lethal Grace to get Noble Scion?

Advice

So let me explain Lethal grace has the line that goes "He gains Weapon Finesse as a bonus feat, and if he already has the Weapon Finesse feat, he can immediately swap it for another feat for which he qualified at the level he chose Weapon Finesse."

However Noble scion strictly states that I can only get it at level one, which i would have been if i had chosen noble scion as my first level feat instead of weapon finesse. I have a feeling this is gonna be a resounding no, but i just wanna make sure.

If you were posting this in the Rules sub-forum, I'd tell you I'm inclined to think that "must be taken at 1st level" (a specific restriction) trumps being able to take a feat you qualified for at 1st level (a general allowance).

As you're asking under the Advice sub-forum, I'd say the answer you're looking for is GM-dependent. In my humble opinion, it should come down to your character's background and the extent to which being a Noble Scion plays into it. As in, did your character shirk his status, responsibilities, and training (which would get you the benefits of the feat) in favor of being a better fencer (or whatever) and now, having mastered said skills, is focusing more on his birthright? If this is something you've been doing in-game, or are interested in doing in-game, I'd say it should be allowed.

Some things have multiple restrictions on them. Usually when this occurs you have to satisfy all the restrictions. Unless you can figure out a way to gain lethal grace at 1st level you cannot swap it for noble scion.

Liberty's Edge

I agree with Phoebus Alexandros, RAW you can't do it, but in a home game, a GM can feel it is appropriate to how you played your character.
