Scrollfinder - The Elder Scrolls Conversion

Conversions

I've been working on a TES conversion since July this year, and I figured I'd post it here as well. Looking for feedback, suggestions, and such.

Main Conversion Doc

There's a rough list of changes at the start of the doc, but for an overview of the major ones:

• Ancestry is split into Race and Birthsign, which replaces Heritages. Race determines your base statistics, as normal, but give more abilities, on par with an extra feat. Attribute boosts are slightly different as well: each race gives you a free boost, plus a choice between two specific boosts, with an option to take a flaw in a specific attribute to gain both of the listed boosts. Birthsigns grant you a passive or an active ability and expand your options for Ancestry feats, like a Versatile Heritage would.

• New magic system, based on proficiency in different schools and using magicka points instead of slots. Your proficiency determines the maximum rank of spells you cast cast from a particular school, and the spells cost magicka equal to their rank. You can cast any spell you have learned, without preparing them in advance, and the price of learning spells has been doubled to account for that.

• Cantrips have also been changed, with the aim for them to thematically be simple effects that don't strain the caster much and that can be customized. You can cast all the basic cantrips from the schools you are at least trained in (or an apprentice in, in TES terms), and can empower some of them to basically turn them into ranked spells by spending the same amount of magicka, acting as automatically learned spells. You can also gain cantrip advancement from class or ancestry feats which add new cantrips or improve existing ones, similar to Spell Trickster feats.

• General DCs replace class DCs, working more or less the same to determine critical specialization DCs, scroll DCs if not proficient in the spell school, and such, adding different attribute modifier depending on what it is, such as Strength or Agiltiy for weapon critical specializations, Intelligence or Willpower for scrolls (which can also be used by anyone), or key attrbiute for class and ancestry abilities. Staves now allow you to cast spells from them using your highest proficiency in a magic school, expanding the options.

• Weapon and armor proficiency changed: anything that grants you proficiency in weapons or armor scales with your base ones automatically, like Sentinel, weapon style archetypes, and such, with the exception of Monk armor, as normal.

These are the things I'm most interested in feedback on, as adding new feats or items is obviously much easier.
