Crystal Healing question.

Pathfinder Second Edition General Discussion

"...if you're legendary in Occultism and the gems' value equals or exceeds 15,000 gp, the item bonus increases to +3."

So, do you have to have 7.5 large diamonds to get this bonus? The only gems I can find are worth Maximum of 2,000gp. Or am I missing something.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Well, you could play some strange mini-game where you try to get some combination of printed gem prices that match the value that you need. If you find that to be fun.

Or you and the GM can just have your character pay 15,000 gp and get 'Crystal Healing gems'.

It's a cool feat for what it does. But by the wording, it seems that you are only supposed to have 2 gemstones that cost 15,000gp.

Crystal Healing says you need at lest 2 gems with a total value of 5gp. So you can have 5 diamonds of 3,000gp each if you want.

At least two gems. More is allowed.

So if you find a bag of 6,000 gp of gems in one dungeon, a bag of 4,000 gp of gems in another dungeon, and a bag of 7,000 gp of gems in a third dungeon, that would be more than the 15,000 gp of gems that you need.

And it would meet the requirements of: at least two semiprecious stones with a total value of 5 gp 15,000 gp or more.

And if I was the GM, I would just create a 'Crystal Healing toolkit' item that costs 5 gp, 50 gp, 700 gp, and 15,000 gp depending on tier desired in case the player wanted to just buy the necessary equipment from a gem shop.

Oh, my mistake. So I was missing something. Thank you guys.
