GM Core questions about variant rules included in it

Pathfinder Second Edition General Discussion

Greetings.

From what i've seen in the paizo con remasters video, it seems the gm core menu on the right concerning variant rules is only concerning : ABP, Free archetypes, Level 0 characters, Proficiency without level.

I did not see ancestry paragon. Is it definitely gone?

Probably not. I don't see why it would be.

It might be staying in the Gamemaster Core rather than being moved to Player Core. Or the other way around - moving to Player Core instead of staying in Gamemaster Core.

It is also a variant rule. Basically a houserule. You can just keep using the houserule in your games with your gaming group if you want to.

It looks like the only 4 variants they are highlighting in GM Core are the 4 mentioned. It doesn't mean the others are gone - they still exist in the GMG (if you have it) and on the Internet (if you don't). Frankly, variant rules are by my count the least important thing to reprint in the remaster, since they already exist and will still exist in the place most variant rules live for most games anyway - online.
