I'm building a catfolk revenant character based on the song "The Cat Came Back" for a one shot where we're all planning to be ridiculous concepts. Many Curse Maelstrom abilities trigger off of you and/or others being subject to curses or misfortune effects, so I want to be clear about how to use them. Will I need Recognize Spell and Quick Recognition to make full use of my Curse Maelstrom feats or is it not necessary?
