Any benefit at all to using a 1 handed weapon with two hands if it doesn't say it goes up a die type?

Rules Discussion

Like say using a sword sword in two hands? I ask because the ninja-to is considered a short sword, yet its used with two hands. I guess its just for style points now?

Silver Crusade

Yep

Lame. :-p

There's fighter's Dual-handed Assault but otherwise, yeah, no real benefit.

You can use abilities that require wielding a weapon in two hands.

Like, you can seriously use Clear the Way with a dagger.

I dont think you can. At least not in Organized play.

You absolutely can. The PF2 rules say that you can and Organized Play has no campaign rule overriding that and saying you can't.

"Weapons requiring two hands typically deal more damage. Some one-handed weapons have the two-hand trait, causing them to deal a different size of weapon damage die when used in two hands. In addition, some abilities require you to wield a weapon in two hands. You meet this requirement while holding the weapon in two hands, even if it doesn’t require two hands or have the two-hand trait." -CRB page 279

Considering that feat has no MAP reduction, you might want to use a light mace (shove, agile) instead.
