Creating a SFS Mystic of Iomedae.

Advice

Radiant Oath

Hey, folks. If it's alright, I'm hoping to get some help and advice on building a Starfinder Society character. Here are the bare bones:

Race: Aasimar (w/ Armor Avatar Racial Trait) or Vesk (w/Venomthought Ability Adjustments).
Theme: Career Trooper.
Class: Mystic.
Mystic Connection: Crusader.
Archetype: Star Knight.

The one area I need help with is choosing additional spells. Ones that either work well with the spells given by the Crusader Mystic Connection or complement the overall theme. I've looked at a few already, mostly first-level ones, like Command Icon, Communal Bond, and Megavitiam.

Thanks for the help!

I've got a SFS Iomedaean space-paladin crusader mystic at level 14, so I can make some recommendations!
First and foremost, of course, Life Bubble is MVP. Every caster should have this, at all times, especially in Society!
Obviously Mystic Cure will never disappoint.
Phase Blade is excellent to help your KAC weapons land their big damage dice more often.
Lesser Remove Condition can remove Shaken, which is a flavourful "know no fear" paladin-y pick.
Extra Sense can be a life-saver against hidden baddies or with that one ally that can't see in the dark and didn't pack a flashlight.
If you want a "bad touch" style spell to use in melee that doesn't provoke, you can't do much better than Eclipse Touch (plus it has the force descriptor, so great vs ghosts or other incorporeal foes!)
It's a bit of a niche pick, but, consider Spirit-Bound Computer? It's fun to step up and say "never fear, my Int dump-stat crusader can hack this computer!" if there's no one else able to in the party!

I was thinking on this, and my own experiences further, so - let me offer this advice: the Crusader connection's big weakness is wanting to be a front-line melee presence, but not having either the Hit Points or the Base Attack Bonus to back that up. So, I recommend, instead of taking the Crusader's Sworn Protector ability at lvl 3, use the Secondary Connection Epiphany to instead grab the 1st level Connection power of either the Warmonger connection (if you wanna be more of a punchy paladin) or the Healer connection (to be more of a benevolent Paladin; also being able to heal yourself as a Move action can be huge, in combats!) Doing this trades out the relatively unimpactful Sworn Protector ability to shore up that connection's weakness.
