Square icon in the pregenerated character sheets

Probably a really dumb question but what do they indicate? Is it some other symbol that's not rendering correctly for me?

Eg. from the Fumbus character sheet, there are 2 square icons next to "Acid Flask, Lesser" and 4 next to "Alchemist's Fire, Lesser".

I think it's the quantity for each item, so that you can check the squares as you use them.
